Teardrop trailers - teardrop campers - are
teardrop shaped, hence the name of course. The
teardrop shape gives them streamlining and this
and the light weight makes them easy to tow,
often - as Roaming Times readers tell us - with
little cost in terms of additional fuel.
They usually have sleeping space for 2 people
only and there is often a kitchen arrangement in
the rear. Teardrop trailers first became popular
in the 1930s and remained so until the 1960s.
However in the last few years they have become
popular again and we link to Roaming Times
