Queen bed arrangement

See reader's comments and experiences at bottom of page

"T@B is so light you can usually move it around by hand - and pulled by most light trucks and SUV's - even many passenger cars"

THE T16-Q QUEEN BED MODEL

T@B's T16-Q features a queen bed in addition to the "L" shaped galley on the front wall of the trailer. It features a U-Shaped sofa bed that converts to a large 70" x 73" bed. There are three overhead cabinets above the sofa on the rear wall of the T@B.

CableGuyOpinions on the cover for winter are mixed. Some say it's good; others say it can trap moisture and do more harm than good. Other things to do to winterize: Remove the battery, empty water from the holding container and put in some RV antifreeze, re-install tank and run water until you get antifreeze out of the sink. Remove anything left in fridge and any personal items that may be damaged or cause damage from freezing/thawing (liquids, etc.). I also like to use the jacks to take the weight off the axle/suspension and tires.
SallyWe have a brand new T@B and want to get it ready for winter storage. We live in northern NH and it gets really cold. We have it in a cover-it to protect it from the snow. What else do we need to do to winterize it?

RobSorry Tom, I should have read the comments before asking for what you already posted.
RobTom what style, color, details about your T@b?
KEN LONGTINTAB TRAILERS ARE STILL BEING BUILT BUT NOT BY THOR. NOW ITS DUTCHMAN. ALL ARE UNDER THE SAME MANUFACTURING UMBRELLA
TomI have a Tab for sale, bought just 5 months ago new. Lived in it while working in Wyoming. Its red and has a bathroom,heatpump/airconditioner,propane furnace, refrigerator, two burner stove,desk/table,twin bed. Have pictures I can e-mail. tktravis6@yahoo.com. I am located now in Topeka, KS.
ShelleyJust looked at a T@B TS 2010 (the one with the bathroom) and the dealer made no mention of Thor not manufacturing the product any more. Does anyone know if they are not producing them any more and why? And if they aren't producing them, why would they come out with the new TS for 2010?

Lisa F.I'd like to rent a TAB in NoCal thanksgiving week. Considering a purchase. Excellent references. Any suggestions? Thanks - Lisa yes@mcn.org
CableGuyOn the issue of the R-Pod -- it's a good unit with its own advantages and disadvantages -- but it's not "much nicer" than the T@B. I looked at both and bought the T@B. But I agree that the R-Pod is a good place to start looking now that the T@B is apparently history. The headroom in the T@B is an issue that will affect everyone differently. It all depends on how you are going to use the trailer, and your own expectations for how you want to live on the road. I am 6'2", so I can't stand up in my T@B, but it's really no issue to me at all. In a trailer of this size, how much time do you spend walking around? You don't. When making food on the stovetop, I sit on the nearby seat. It's just not an issue for me.
Billy BobIf you can no longer get the T@B, look at the R-POD made by Forest River. Much nicer than the T@B and fully self contained, all for less money. There is also a R-POD Forum with a lot of good info.
BurtonI'm interested in a T&B, but my husband is 6-1. I'm 5-8 and do most of the cooking, what's the reality of being able to make this trailer work?
hilltopI like the t@b's but the headroom is an issue. As well we a family, so I was looking for more space. I bought an Alto and love it. They are new on the market so used ones are not available yet.
TimI Have a 2007 with Screen room/ Jolt grey with grey trim. Would like to sell! It has been used 4 times. AWESOME CAMPER! We have just outgrown it! Honeydointeriors@hotmail.com

DaronI am located in Toronto, Ontario. I want to buy a T@B and then travel through the American southwest. Anyone selling one in my area? daron@rogers.com
Rod MohrI bought a 2005 in Salt Lake City this month and it came with a yellow and black Screen room. No instructions or brand name to be found anywhere on it. It has sectional aluminum poles, clear plastic window that lift with lines. I saw a T@B newsletter on the net with good instructions, but mine is of a different design. Was wondering whether there were any other brands out there that I could research
LauraDoes anyone know the value of a 2006 L shaped only used once? lauracjo@yahoo.com Thanks!
LauraI'm in central California and am looking for a used Tab. Any year will work and we're willing to travel - 805-688-2226 or lauracjo@yahoo.com

Sacramento T@B OwnerI have decided to sell my T@B. My wife and I LOVE our T@B however our needs have changed. It is silver in color and is a 2006 model year. We have used it two or three times each year. Contact me if you are interest. I'm in Sacramento Ca. funjumper1@gmail.com
CableGuyKevco - I have a 2010 T@B, apparently one of the few that were or will be made, and I am pleased with the quality. The trim piece you spoke of has come loose in a few places on mine - I just glued it myself rather than running it back to the dealer, who would have been happy to fix it. I've pulled it about 5,000 miles so far, no problems other than that, so I've got no complaints. It's a good little trailer.
CableGuyYes...which is why I suggested not chancing it with the EU2000. You're fortunate that the generator simply tripped out rather than damaging either itself or the Cool Cat. The 2,400 that you have is still 400 watts below the recommended level, but I'm glad this one works for you.
kimCABLE GUY & KEVCO A 2000 generator will not work if you want to run the air conditioner. My husband and I have tried the Honda and the Yamaha and they would start the air conditioner and overload and shut off almost instantly. We bought a Yamaha 2400 and it works just great!
jeffKim. am interested in your red bottle cover. campnagle@aol.com
