| Re: Winnebago Via class A motorhome | Stef | Is it true that the Via & Reyo only have ONE door? No driver or passenger door?? Has anyone seen this in person? All I've seen are the photos & videos on Winnebago's web site. Seems to me like it would be a safety issue.Otherwise I love the configurations. Prefer maple cabinetry but that's just me. :>) |
| Re:Winnebago Outlook | Pat Specht | I am suspecting that we may have the battery drain problem in 2007 Outlook Winni. When it is unplugged for a day or so the engine battery gets very weak even after making sure that everything is turned off. House batteries seem to maintain the charge. We suspect a switch that is not functioning properly? |
| Re: Winnebago View Class C | aussie | I really cant get over this `obsession' that Americans have that a `dodge' isnt supported anymore
dodge hasnt been available anywhere apart from America for the last 3 decades
It's a Merc sprinter
parts available worldwide (far more so than any Chrysler bits)
and turbo diesels rule the roads
v8 (v10's in america???- say whhhaaa)
I see all the camper owners in america complaining about 8-10 mpg
well you should be
I get about 28 mpg in a bigger 4 tonner ( thats about 8800 pounds according to wiki)
makes me wonder what I am doing right or you guys are doing really wrong...

| Re: Winnebago Via class A motorhome | harold | I like the idea but the price is height. the bed over the drivers seat is an old idea used in a german mh years ago. |
| Re: 2010 Winnebago ERA class B motorhome | UP Retirees | We bought our ERA this summer at a substantial discount. We have driven it to California and back and love the manuverability and diesel mileage. My wife has mobility problems which makes this small unit ideal. We travel with Jake our 90 pound goldendoodle. |
| Re: Winnebago Destination class A motorhome | Pia Piaquinto | It sounds like an electric golf cart. Need to gun the gas to see if it is running. In 8,000 miles we were never passed by a diesel pusher on any degree of hill.AND we tow a small Honda.
The interior cabinets are well designed aesthetically and well constructed. The exterior and interior are all 1st class. We exchanged the outside mirrors for chrome and now we look like a 300K rig.Inside we upgraded the carpet and put in corian on the counters. The bathroom sink is el cheapo so we exchanged plastic for stainless. This is a dazzling unit for just over 100K.Tough competition in todays tight economy. Winnebago has a winner. |
| Re: 2010 Winnebago ERA class B motorhome | Gordon | Like the ERA we've had ours for 2 years. The 2010 looks good, same 2 floorplans I think. |
| Re: Winnebago Via class A motorhome | SkipJ | Where will owners of Sprint based RV's get service now that Dodge will no longer be selling them, after Jan 1st? Can Mercedes dealers handle motor homes? |
| Re: Winnebago View Class C | chris | we just bought a 2009 view 24H. After one weekend trip, we also find it much easier to drive than our last RV - a 21 ft Four winds. My husband and I look forward to traveling and think the View will be perfect for longer trips across county. We would enjoy meeting and traveling with new friends from FL if we ever get down there from our current home in northern IL. |
| Re: Winnebago ERA class B motorhome | mrlear | Love that coach, gotta buy one |
| Re: Winnebago Aspect class C motorhome | Brian | We have a 2005 Forest River on a Ford E450 chassis that we like. Looking to move on and this looks perfect. Like the interior and the 28B layout. Not sure about the 30C with the stove in the slideout right next to the sofa. |
| Re: Winnebago ERA Class B | Stillsmilin | Owned one for about 4 months now, so happy with fuel economy, functionality, and ease of driving. It is definitely a "wow" vehicle! |
| Re: Winnebago ERA class B motorhome | Ivan | I like the twin beds. Being older and having arthritis it is difficult getting out of a bed set up like the queen bed/sofa. |
| Re: Winnebago Via class A motorhome | Rory Blenkin | I really think this is nice. 15mpg sounds good to me. I'm stuck with a 7mpg gas guzzler I've been trying to sell for 2 years. When I get the money I think I'll go for this. The long slideout model is the one I would prefer but I'm not sure about the fact that the one on the inside has to climb over the one on the outside during the night. Maybe the other model is better. |
| Re: Winnebago Via class A motorhome | Curtis | I've had 2 winnebagos and 1 itasca and I liked them. I was thinking of going for a class B maybe the Winnebago ERA because I was thinking class A's are too big. But this is smaller and looks really good. Going to look at it. Thanks for the review. |
| 2001 Winnebago Adventurer | Terry | We are newbies to the RV World and have been looking for awhile and finally found one that we both like and would love to hear pros and cons. The Winnebago Adventurer is a 2001 amd has 60,000 miles and is gas. |
| Re: Winnebago ERA class B motorhome | IGC_ | Never been a big fan of the B class - I love Winnebago - but this seems like another over priced B class to me...Go big or go home... |
| 2007 Winnebago Aspect, class C | M. Farri | Bought a new 2007, 30 ft Aspect in 2008. So far we have put approx 3,000 miles on it with no problems. The Ford V 10 has excellent power and the brakes are fantastic. We love it! My only complaint is that Ford can do a little better job with the chassis in terms of handling. Inflating the rear air bags to over 60lbs really helped. I also found out that my TV's won't work on antenna without a digital converter box. This is a problem if your TV is built in. I was afraid of messing up the wood work to pull the TV out so I went to the dealer. You will have to remove the TV. He knew what pieces of wood to remove without damaging the cabinets. We did it in 45 minutes. Other than that, a great coach. |
| Re: Winnebago ERA class B motorhome | John | I think this has always been my perfect vehicle. I'd love to travel around the country in one of these. Either this or a Roadtreck. |
| Re: Winnebago ERA Class B | Shobud Sierra | We just got ours new, at a massive discount. Can maneuver everywhere I used to go in my old pickup! |
| Re: Winnebago Vectra Class A | Slow Elk | If you shop around you will find that Winnebago is one of the only manufactures that put fiberglass roofs on ALL their rigs. I was told by other companies that it is too expensive to do that with their lower line of motorhomes. |
| Re: Winnebago Adventurer class A motorhome | Darthvagrant | A "Hybrid" vehicle that would have to weigh in excess of 20,000#? Wow! I can see an improvement from 9 MPG tpo 9.5 MPG at an additional cost of $4500. for the "Hybrid" system. 20,000# PLUS batteries, that is. I think someone is on drugs. |
| Re: Winnebago ERA Class B | ladebug | I've had mine for 2 months now. Almost every weekend, I head to southern Utah. I LOVE this puppy. Great for 1 or 2 people, my bike, kayak, and general camp gear. Drives nice, all the amenities of home. My first RV ever. Easy to use and learn how to use it! |
| Re: Winnebago ERA Class B | Bagoman | The RS Adventurous has more features and better built and better warranty 4 year 48000 miles |
| Re: Winnebago ERA Class B | Mike K | Nice Class B with major flaw. It's on the Sprinter 2500 chassis with severe load carrying capacity. Too bad Winnebago didn't go to the 3500 model like Airstream did. |
| 2007 Winnebago Sightseer | colin lawson | We have purchased a 2007 Sightseer 35j bunk model, plenty of room and build quality second to none, only bad thing there is not enough summer days to tour here in scotland. |
| Re: Winnebago Vectra Class A | Ros | We have a 2006 Vectra and love it but we've had a lot of electrical problems. RVs are very expensive to own and care for. |
| Re: Winnebago Vectra Class A | RV gal | We LOVE this new set up-wish it had more sleeping quarters but other than that its a beauty!! We don't have one but my friend has one and we love to go with her on trips-very smooth ride... |
| Re:Winnebago Outlook | Morey Anderson | We have 2007 Outlook purchased Nov. 2007.
1. We are about install the 3rd battery (starting) nobody seems to know why they are failing.
2. We have put 2 new motherboards in the furnace control again no reason given
3. TV cable system doesn,t work we have to run cable in through a window dealer can't find cause.
None of these have been warranty items.
Does this sound framiliar to anyone else? |
| Re: Winnebago best selling motorhome for sixth year | Betsy Barmore | I was wondering if you knew how many models of Winnebagos were made in 2003. And I am trying to find where in the list of models does an Adventurer rank. This is not counting the Bus type. Thanks |
| Re: Winnebago Outlook class C motorhome | R H Zentgraf | I think that Winnebago has hit a triple, not a home run with this class C and it's innovative use of space. They need to pay more attention to the shoebox thinking with better aerodynamics. Now if we can get the chassis manufactures to come step up to the plate with more efficient chassis & powertrains we will see a home run. |
| Re: Winnebago Outlook class C motorhome | Tim Coogan | I just love the new floorplan, I think Winnebago really are thinking out of the box. We had a C and never used the overcab bed but I really think we would with this arrangement. |
| 2008 Winnebago View Class C | Dan in VA | We too have a 2008 24H View with 20K miles. It is so easy to drive I found myself running errands with it while my car was unavailable. 15+ MPG smooth, quiet, clean. The Mercedes chassis and motor are the latest in driveline and Diesel technology. Chassis maintenance can be expensive if brought in for service. Oil changes require 14 quarts of specialty synthetic, and costly fuel filter every 10K miles. This high cost may keep some from performing required maintenance. Fortunately I can do my own. |
| Re: Winnebago Outlook class C motorhome | doug t | I think the 30D floorplan really is cool. Nicest arrangement I've seen with a class C. We've had 2 C's. Both of them had the overcab bed arrangement which we never used and neither of them had slides. We had a queen bed in both but the sleeping arrangements with the 30D really would have suited us better. |
| Re: 2008 Winnebago Destination | NCNan | Dealer resolved issues and we are very pleased with our Winnebago. We are taking it to the NC mtns and the heat pump will do a great job, I am sure! |
| Re: 2008 Winnebago Destination 37 | Camppjpatty | NCNan, how were your issues handled? Considering this coach as our first Class A. |
| 2008 Winnebago View Class C | porscheracer | We have an '08 View 24H, as well as an '05 Winnebago Vectra 36RD. Each is the best of its world. The View, although somewhat cramped compared to a larger unit, is the perfect "sprinter". It returns an honest 15MPG in mixed driving, and drives like a van.
We have had it for 5 months, put 5000 miles on it, and have had exactly zero problems. Winnebago are great. |
| Re: Winnebago ERA Class B | michael truel | Good but I don't want a couch; I want two quality twin beds. |
| 2008 Winnebago Destination | Bob F | Bought an 08 last September. Drove from North Carolina to Florida and then proceeded to California and returned home. I pulled a Chevrolet HHR and averaged around 10 mpg. This is my second motor home and my first Diesel pusher. We have has some issues but Freight Liner and Winnebago have taken care of everything. |
| Re: Winnebago ERA Class B | Colin | Best looking class b available and a wonderful interior. |
| Re: 2008 Winnebago Destination | Robert | This is my 6th RV. The UFO is fantastic and my all time favorite-gas is the way when in the rear. You cannot hear the engine. Have done alot of mountain passes towing a Honda Fit, 2,600 lbs. Do not know the car is there. I have had ZERO problems. ZERO, I am in shock. Winnebago got it right and I salute them. WOW what a ride.
My mileage in the mountains towingis 7.4. The stereo system is mind blowing. The design of the interior modern and anti-old Winnebago boring.Somebody at W should get a big raise for desigining this plush fun coach. |
| Re:Winnebago Sightseer | Ken Croft | We have a 2007 winnebago siteseer and we really like it. This is our third class a and winnebago is the best. This is good quality and I'd recommend it to anyone. we had air conditioning problems but they were nothing to do with the winnebago design but they were fixed with full cooperation from winnebago. all my dealings with them have been good |
| Re: 2008 Winnebago Destination | AB | Hi:
Test drove one of these today(Itasca Destination) beautiful coach inside. Handles like a dream, can't even hear the motor. Functional coach, think I'll be buying it on Monday! |
| Re: Winnebago Tour class A motorhome | Clive Hobbes | The Tour is my ideal motorcoach. Love the dark interior look of the model you show above. All I need now is $259K. One day soon. |
| Winnebago ERA Class B bed options | Ernie | Why not a twin bed option like some of the Canadian builders offer? |
| 2008 Winnebago Destination | Dr. Wayne Scott | I test drove a 39W at Pamona FMCA Rally. It was fantastic. I "yanked it" around corners and from one lane to another. It handled wonderfully. One of the best handling coaches I have ever driven. Horse power, handling, transmission, A/C, brakes and the ride were superior !!!! I was also very impressed by the quietness of the engine, basement A/C, and the generator. (Input June 2008) |
| Re: Winnebago Vectra | Ron Keene | I think this is a beautiful coach. We've had two winnies and been happy with both. I really like the 40FD floorplan. Too expensive for me I'll stick with my 2003. |
| 1999 Winnebago Adventurer 34V | Chris & Edith | We bought ours last summer and it's wonderful! Where can you get this much quality, 10-12 mpg and good power, this much space, and a mid door. Answer, No where else.
|
| 2006 Winnebago Vectra | Mark Purkey | I bought a 2006 Winnebago Vectra off the show room floor at RV World of Nokomis, FL June of 2007. I used it once, and it has been in the shop 5 different times totaling 7 months, and the issues are still not resolved. I am at wits end and don't know what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions? |
| 2008 Winnebago Sightseer 26P | Jim C | I just purchased a 2008 26p sightseer. Hope we made the right choice. We just got rid of a 2007 Concord 30 ST. It had all kinds of problem. Tell us we didn't make two costly mistake in a row. |
