Re: Oliver Legacy small travel trailerT@BakerThey're up and running again!
Re: Oliver Legacy small travel trailerrangeroneI am a supplier to the Oliver Company who makes other products. I was told today that they are getting ready to begin production on the Oliver Trailer again
Re: Oliver Legacy small travel trailerA big FanI hope someone makes this trailer again, just as it was. It was the best quality trailer I saw at the trade show. Nicer than the Airstream. I am not ready to buy yet, maybe two years so I hope someone will produce it as it was. For one or two people who want to off-road from time to time, I can't imagine a better way to travel in comfort.
Re: Oliver Legacy small travel trailerBoler DaveThey are no longer in Business
Re: Oliver Legacy small travel trailerRattlesnake JoeI had the pleasure of meeting the owners of Oliver Travel Trailers and they were so nice and helpful in answering my questions. The Oliver is the best of the small fiberglass travel trailers. Their price is HIGH yes but their product shines head and shoulders above the rest. I settled on a Casita 17' SD model with all the options except the propane heating furnace. The only problem with the Oliver is they didn't for see this Great Depression that we have now. Their timing was off thats all. The smaller Sports model is designed for hunters and prospectors to really get off the black top. The ground clearance must be seen to be belived. When I peeked underneith I got a smile on my face that said, "Wow this is my kind of Boondocking camping trailer'. All the things you might worry about has been designed by a genie to solve every kind of problem. If I had the money I would love to have a Oliver...but I am not a Doctor, Dentist or Lawyer. I plan to boodock in Arizona so I had to get taller tires and bigger wheels on my Casita [even with the High Axel model]. With the Oliver Sportsmans model you wouldn't have to do that. Every detail has been designed to last. You must see it too believe it. So no this isn't a Scamp, Casita, Burro or any other of the put 'em out fast and get the money kind of TT. Some day when I strike it rich and find a Gold mine out in the Arizona desert, you can bet an Oliver will be on top of my things to get. Until then my Casita 'Lil Egg will do.
Re: Oliver Legacy small travel trailerKeithAs of Dec 2009, they are no longer manufacturing Oliver TTs.
Re: Oliver Legacy small travel trailerStreetRodderI live in Minnesota, and we have a trailer built here, called a SCAMP. What makes this different from a SCAMP, other than the aluminum frame? The SCAMP is quite a bit less money. And what is the price? Trade secret?
2008 Oliver Legacy Elite53FCI would like to know what type of flooring is used to bolt the body to the aluminum frame? Is this a wooden floor concept like that used by airstream? I would hope not~! For the weight and price of $19,600 retail, this could be a winner
Re: Oliver Legacy small travel trailerBillLooks great. How about Insulation $ Heat in Winter months?
