Re: Holiday Rambler Traveler Class CBillWhere is the fuse for the Voyager back-up camera located? Haven't been able to get the answer from mfg. or dealers..
Re: Holiday Rambler Savoy LX travel trailerBrian BWe toured the 2009 model of this trailer last year in Georgia and it really impressed us. The front kitchen integrated with the living space makes it feel really spacious, and the pass-thru bath saves SO much space, plus it makes the bedroom really separated from the main living space. Slide-out bed is awesome... wish more mfrs. offered it! washer/dryer hook up is also a pleasant surprise, for permanent site applications... overall, one of the best units we've ever toured! Way to go HR!
Re: Holiday Rambler Savoy LX travel trailerKatherine NWe're seriously thinking about this trailer. If anyone has experiences of it please email me at k4357@gmail.com Thanks
Re: Holiday Rambler Savoy LX fifth wheelDon NThis is really nice. We had a 2003 Holiday Rambler class A and liked it very much, they make a good product.
Re: Holiday Rambler Admiral class A motorhomeHollyO have often wondered why didn't anyone ever think to put the living room up front and the kitchen in the middle and the bedroom with the king size bed in the rear. The bathroom could be up near the living room. I would love that floorplan because then when I have family come along they can pull out the sleeper sofa but still have their privacy.
Holiday Rambler Presidential fifth wheel Jim & KathyWe purchased a brand new 06' Holiday Rambler 37RLQ in Nov. of 07'. We love it, zero issues. looks great and fit and trim are excellent. Dual pane windows make it nice for warming, cooling and keeping noise out or in. Full body paint is beautiful. We get a lot of compliments at campgrounds we've stayed at. I'd highly recommend Holiday Rambler and wouldn't hesitate to purchase another one. All manufacturers put out some bad ones on occasion, HR is no exceptions, but this unit, to date, has been flawless.
Re: Holiday Rambler Traveler Class CMarguerite BredaWe need to rent a class C to transport my father from Baltimore, MD to a nursing home on Long Island, NY. We have owned a fifth wheel for the past eight years and have rented claa Cs in MD and Alaska before that so we know how to handle the RV. We need a class C because my 97 yr old father can not travel in a car or truck comfortablly anymore. Does anyone know where to rent a class C? bredatxtx@hotmail.com Thanks for any help you can give.
2004 Holiday Rambler PresidentialLois Martin, TexasHave a 2004 Presidential....love it, but due to health conditions, I can no longer raise or lower my largest awning. Tried the sun screens, but can't see anything and I am on the water. Does anyone know if this trailer can be retrofited for a push button and is it costly? Thanks
Re: Holiday Rambler Traveler Class CHeatherWe've been looking for a class c with sprinter chassis and think the Holiday Rambler is the best we've seen. We particularly like the rear bed arrangement. We've previously had a HR class a and think the quality is good.
2004 Holiday Rambler Presidential 5th wheel Andy We have a 2004 5th wheel, 36 foot SKQ Presidential. Enjoying it immensely! Has anyone had problems with the washing machine - Kenmore compact top load - ours just howls in the spin cycle? Which bearing am I looking at to replace? Also looking for a floorplan layout, measurements etc. where exactly the black water holding tank is located inside the belly as I wish to install a tornado flush system as the factory one just doesn't seem to do the job - I don't wish to start cutting into the belly not knowing where exactly the holding tank is located. Also where exactly is the water pump located as I wish to install an accumulator next to it. Much appreciated. Andy
2000 Holiday Rambler VacationerStan and ChristineWe are thinking of purchasing a 2000 Holiday Rambler Vacationer. We would appreciate any feedback on this motorhome. Thank you in advance
1994 Holiday Rambler Imperial CustomRoad HappyWe have a 1994 Holiday Rambler Imperial Custom with 2 slides, everything still looks new inside but the carpet,Had to replace hot water heater , one seam roof that still doesn't leak. Just wish the slides were flat like later models and would love a king bed,Pulls down the road with ease.Walls are still rock solid.. Before Monaco bought them out..
Re:2008 Holiday Rambler AlumascapeRon HolmesI've looked at both the Presidential and the Alumascape and I think it's worth paying the extra.
2007 Holiday Rambler AmbassadorDon MurrayThis feels like a cadillac and drives like one. Like the exhaust brake and we love the way the coach responds and the feel of it as you'r driving. One surprise when we bought it is that the washer/dryer was an option not standard and the dealer had to install it and didn't do a very good job. It leaked made a mess and on one occasion wouldn't work at all but it was finally resolved. Other options so we were told included keyless entry, the central vacuum system, a ceiling fan in the bedroom and full tiling but the dealer included them in the price so he said. The dealer really wasn't very good and I don't know why Holiday Rambler (Monaco) don't choose their dealers more carefully. Warranty items have only been a few but the dealer has made them seem like major events. We've had problems with the in motion satellite system, the main awning and the onan generator wiring system but all of these were fixed but with much inconvenience. Based upon your experiences, would you buy one of this manufacturer's RVs again?: Yes but from a different dealer. Rating (holiday rambler): 4 and a half/5, dealer 1/5.
2009 Holiday Rambler Traveler class CpepeI've had 2 Holiday Rambler RVs a 98 and an 03. Liked them both. Anything Holiday Rambler does is OK by me. Great company with a lot of support.
2001 Holiday Rambler EndeavorPeggy JarvisWe have an 01 Holiday Rambler Endeavor. Love it, lots of storage, beautiful workmanship lots of moving about room. The layout of the whole inside....the kitchen. The Holiday Rambler manufacturer personnel (Bob ) was so very helpful. Based upon your experiences, would you buy one of this manufacturer's RVs again?: Yes. Rating: 5/5.
RE: 2005 Holiday Rambler Endeavor - enough power?DavidWe had a 40' 2003 Endeavor with the 330 HP engine. We had plenty of power. We drove across country and up and down hills with a toad and no difficulties. Nice coach and nice power arrangement.
2005 Holiday Rambler Endeavor - enough power?Sy RogersWe are looking for a 2005 Holiday Rambler 40ft with chair and office in back, but notice all we have seen have a 330 HP Diesel. Is that enough power for a 40 Ft.?
2007 Holiday Rambler EndeavorSandraWe have a 2007 Holiday Rambler Endeavor with a full wall slide - when the slide is in you can still get to the bathroom. We are living in it for 8 months with 4 people, our kids are 12 & 13 and are adult size, 6 feet tall and the other close to it. We looked for 2 years and found this the best unit; it also has tiles all the way from the front through the bathroom, carpet in the bedroom only. We realized that there are compromises we had to make and there is no perfect unit out there. We love our Endeavor and our full wall slide, and especially the seperate bathroom and the tiles.
2002 Holiday Rambler Class CAlGood quality unit. Make sure has a fibreglass roof. We have a Holiday Rambler Atlantis class C, 2002 and the quality is tops. Am not sure about the new ones. Good luck
Holiday RamblerKent HolmesI've had two Holiday Ramblers. The first I had for 11 years and then traded it in for another Holiday Rambler that I've now had for 4 years. I'm also a member of a Holiday Rambler club and I've been to several Holiday Rambler rallies. Good luck whatever you buy but my experience with Holiday Ramblers has been first class.
2004 Holiday Rambler PresidentialloriSeems as if the 2007 presidential has had a lot of problems in recent years although our 04 model is fabulous. If you have one you're happy with, consider making your own upgrades rather than trading for a new one. That's what we've done and it's great. Email us questions to loriruff2000@yahoo.com. We'd love to share ideas...
RE: 2000 Holiday Rambler Ambassador terry regennitterI have a 2003 Holiday Rambler Ambassador. I would like to know how you got information . I can not get anything from holiday rambler or Monaco , the new owners.
RE: Holiday Rambler, Tiffin Allegro Bus, CoachmenKarlSusan. What has your experience been with the cross country, now that you have had it a while?
Re:2008 Holiday Rambler AlumascapeJohn AI think this is a beautiful fifth wheel costing about $20,000 less than the Holiday Rambler Presidential. Much better value I think.
2005 Holiday Rambler Ambassador keithWe too have a 2005 Ambassador and we love the layout. The RV is full time home for us and we have been happy with HR. We too have had on going issues with the windshield and fridge. We also had issues with our front Jack. Our dealer Paw Paws camper city has been horrible and I would never do business with them again. We finally had to visit Wildwood Fl and have HR correct some of the issues. I would agree with the 3/5 rating.
RE: 2007 Holiday Rambler Presidential / 2002 Fleetwood BounderdanWe have a 2002 Bounder and was in Washington state four months last winter. we thought we had roof leaks. water would drip onto the dash, ceiling lights would collect water in the plastic covers. It turned out to be condensation on any metal frame work in the ceiling and around the A/C return air. A small $135.00 dehumidifier from the local hardware store would produce over one gallon water per day. This made about 95% improvement.
2007 Holiday Rambler PresidentialGary and JoWe bought a new 2007 Presidental unit in February 2007 and we have had nothing but problems. Once we got a few of the things fixed then more pop up. I wish we were one of the happy campers in this section it sure would make life easier. We live in our RV full time and we enjoy it except for all the many problems. Whenever we have to take it to be repaired we have to find a place to live and that gets expensive. Our floor has buckled in the entery way, our shower leaks if we don't position the water fauset just right, the ceiling fan motor broke twice (it wont shut off by its self), the stove wont lite, we have had water problems and we don't know where the water is coming from, it soaks the carpets and wood floor. There are many more problems but I don't have time to write them all down. The unit is nice that is why we bought it, but sure unhappy about all the problems.
2007 Holiday Rambler Presidentialhomebyfive2000@yahoo.comWe bought a 2007 presidential suite Skq in february we have had nothing but problems with it (including the floor buckling after some kind of flooding from inside the floor which no one has figured out yet). As far as the beauty of the trailer they don't make them much better but as far as quality if someone can help me make them take it back Please Please write! ! !
2006 Holiday Rambler PresidentialJerry KimbelWe just bought a "new" 2006 Holiday Rambler Presidental w/4 slides. We are at the Wakarusa, IN plant and they claim they will need to remove the roof, remove the sidings (they bulge when in extreme heat). There are many "minor" problems within the RV such as the floor in the kitchen buckling. The sofa bed was never secured and will throw you off the bed if you try to lie down. Anyway, should we get a lawyer and demand a replacement RV. WE can't stay here in Wakarusa for a month which what the technicians claim it will take to repair. Any suggestions? Jerry Kimbel
2004 Holiday Rambler PresidentialArtWhoa! We have a 2004 Presidential that we are pleased with. Just getting ready to buy a 2008 Presidential and found that the only cabinet option will be cherry! We don't care for the Cherry at all and wonder what happened to the Oak option??? Guess we won't be buying the 2008 at all!
2006 Holiday Rambler AmbassadorFredNot much more to add other then the last three RV's (Class A) I've owned the quality was terible. I currently own an 06 Holiday Rambler Ambassador. Up to May 2007 it was at the dealer since Dec 06, now they say it needs to go back to the manufacturing facility to cut the hole bigger where the slide goes.........Anyone knows how to contact a Monaco superviser or manager please let me know.
2003 Holiday Rambler EndeavorDave & ConnieWe have lived full-time for the past three years in a 2003 HR Endeavor -- and we love our rig. The build quality is excellent, and Monaco's customer service is hard to beat.
Holiday Rambler, Tiffin Allegro Bus, CoachmenSusan LWe have owned 5 RV's our Holiday Rambler was a real lemon. The Allegro Bus from Tiffin that was the last one that we owned was the best most wonderful RV we have ever had. We just bought a new Coachmen, I would love to hear from people that own the Crosscountry's to see how they like them and what kind of problems if any they have had. Ours is a 2006
Re: 2007 Holiday Rambler EndeavorChumlyTerri... I'm supprized you did not pick the PDQ, w/d is in the bath area and is over tile, its the "only" floor-plan that has the W/D in bath area. May you create loving memories in your new RV... now get out there and gooooo RVing! and maybe you'll see a Chumly on the road somewhere
Re: 2007 Holiday Rambler PresidentialSTEVEEWhere is the full body paint?
Re: 2007 Holiday Rambler PresidentialCarrie and Jim BouldingWe're fulltimers living in a 2001 Presidential that we love. It has a wonderful spacious feeling with 3 slides and the large bay window has to be experienced to be appreciated. I love the look of the island bar in the review and think that if we change this is the fifth wheel that I would want. The king bed looks perfect and I suppose they've put in a 10 gallon water heater (ours is 6 gallons, too small and causes us problems every day.) I can't wait to change.
Re: 2007 Holiday Rambler EndeavorTerriThe 40PRQ - Full body paint and the pullout counter in the kitchen are terrific improvements. The 40SFT - Full body paint and the pullout counter in the kitchen AND the full wall slide - Terrific. Also, the two sofas are in good alignment for conversation. Because of the full slide, the bedroom area is greatly expanded and looks very comfortable. I don't like the TV in the cockpit overhead space. Also, in both models, the washer/dryer is essentially in a carpeted area. This could be a problem if there is a water leak.
1989 Holiday Rambler Limited 40 Dave WI have owned this RV for several years and put 30-40k miles per year on it travelling from Alaska to the lower 48 and travelling around the West Coast. I use it for work and have had no problems with it except the transfer switch went out this year (after 16 yrs) everything works and I get 10-11mpg out of the Cat 3208T 250hp motor. It moves me along at 70mph without problem and since it is a big block 10.4L it is not working hard doing it. The coach is built on a Gillig Chassis and I think that makes aq big difference as all the electricals and such work without problems, even on the rough roads from Alaska. I would highly recommend this product if you are looking for an older DP. The same, I like the non-slide for coach durability but would like the extra room when parked, a catch 22. Gillig still supports their chassis and even sent me a new manual overnight at no cost! How is that for service? Based upon your experiences, would you buy one of this manufacturer's RVs again?: Yes. Rating: 5/5.
2001 Holiday Rambler Presidential 34RLTC CaplinWe love this 5th wheel. We've had 3 before but this is the best. We bought it in 2004 and it's given us no problems since then. It's well made but light and wonderfully laid out. The 3 slides give it a big spacious feeling. The large bay window and other windows give an impression of openness and light. All the fittings seem to be good quality and it's very well made. Really the only thing I don't like is the 6 gallon water heater. Too small. Based upon your experiences, would you buy one of this manufacturer's RVs again?: Yes. Rating: 5/5.
RE: 2004 Holiday Rambler Navigator 43' Ron RosenwaldWonder how much the (Monaco) company stood behind you .... I also had problems with my '04 Diplomat and all they did was wave the warranty in front of me reminding me that my 12 months were up.... despite only 18,000 miles on it and the microwave going for the 3rd time......along with other items that their repair dept even admitted was "damaged right from the start"..... We now hope to have all this repaired so we can enjoy it.... hope you are in a same position! I question whether or not i would even look at another Monaco product after having to wrestle with them on this last set of repairs!
1995 Holiday Rambler Endeavor Mickey QThis is the second RV we have owned... We love it.. It runs like a dream not any trouble though it's 11 yrs now we went cross country added over 11,000 miles to origianal 20,000 and still excellent... It is GREAT Nothing we don't like but love the furniture sitting and the smooth ride None at all..we love it Based upon your experiences, would you buy one of this manufacturer's RVs again?: Yes. Rating: 5/5.
2005 Holiday Rambler Ambassador JTBMany problems with this RV. We love the interior and layout and it drives well. Great engine and 8KW gen. We had both universal joints go out at 10,000 miles, windshield mounts coming loose, kitchen slide motor failures, constant refrigerator problems, slides needing adjustment, major power relay for the coach fail. Perhaps the most annoying is the cameras, they are totally unreliable, they have been replace 2 times and seem better, but I have one that is still intermittent. These things are not insurmountable; however, the dealer is not as helpful or speedy as they should be. The coach as spent approx 20% of its life at the dealer waiting on parts, repairs, etc. It is irritating that we take it back to the dealer for the same things over and over. We love the interior of this RV. It is very comfortable. Manaco/Holiday Rambler did pay for the univeral joint repairs. So far everything has been covered under warranty. Based upon your experiences, would you buy one of this manufacturer's RVs again?: Yes. Rating: 3/5.
2003 Holiday Rambler EndeavorKerry KlineFirst the good things: This is our second RV and we loved it from the beginning. The physical comfort level compared to our 32' Fleetwood is amazing. Size does count, this one is 40' feet. The diesel is the way to go, it is powerful and handles well. I personally dislike the smell of diesel fuel and was hesitant about that fact, but there are no objectional fumes and I am very sensitive. Now for the bad things: these were mostly minor and quite annoying things that kept us going back and forth to the repair shop. The only one that was pretty awful was that there was a leak during a heavy downpour around the airconditioning unit in the ceiling over our bed!. Now that we got the "bugs" out we are really enjoying our rig. I would recommend this model to anyone, especially in favor of a new RV, which would still need to be de-bugged. I have rarely met anyone that had smooth sailing with their RV from the word go. The complexities of a house on wheels have all the initial problems of some cars and some houses. This is one case, where you are out on the road and vunerable that you want to have a tried and tested RV. I am a designer and my instincts brought me to this model. The materials and the color scheme as well as the convenient layout is great. I would buy again, but not new from any RV manufacturer. Based upon your experiences, would you buy one of this manufacturer's RVs again?: Yes. Rating: 5/5.
Holiday Rambler, WinnebagoTerry THoliday Rambler was terrible, Winnebago much better but still have problems. Service people do not seem to be qualified.
