| Re: 2010 Fleetwood Quest class C motorhome | Anne | We also have a 2010 Fleetwood Quest RV,and just love it. good price, good RV, good job Fleetwood!!! |
| Re: Fleetwood Evolution Camping Trailer | Mountain Campers | We have the Evolution. We went with the electric crank system--problem!! It has quit completely. Also we have water damage on the rood--inside the camper are little "balloons". Anyone else had these problems? |
| Re: Fleetwood Evolution Camping Trailer | Matt in Utah | I have an E1, 2007 I think. I use it only a few times a year, but it does serve its offroad purpose well. Two recommendations. Install a kill switch on the radio - cost me $10. this will fix the bright light at night problem. Also replace smoke detector. I'm sure I will have to do some of the repairs referenced here but the chasis seems solid. |
| Re: Fleetwood Icon class C motorhome | Grace | We bought one of these last month and love it, We're spending the winter in Arizona and we'll be touring around. This is the perfect RV for us. |
| Re: 2010 Fleetwood Quest class C motorhome | Hank L | The Quest looks real nice, very similar to the Icon but lower price. I'm going to compare them. |
| Re: Fleetwood Discovery | jlt | Just purchased a used 2007 fleetwood discovery 39V, the problem is there was not any manuals, we need a cat 330, a tracvision dome manual, a coby dvd 938, a 39V coach manual would sure help. email jackie.touchstone@suddenlink.net |
| Re: Fleetwood Terra LX class A motorhome | RetiredSeniors(one w/postpolio | We just bought a 2008
Terra 33L and would like to know what recalls, complaints, or things to look out for by others. |
| Re: Fleetwood Icon class C motorhome | Rick | Very nice this is classier than the fleetwood class c's i've rented. Good deal for a $100k. We're looking to buy a c and I'll find a dealer and look at this. |
| Re: Fleetwood Bounder Classic class A motorhome | Gary Dishman | What braintrust came up with the idea for the kitchen in the very front of the coach? Makes as much since as putting the toilet in the navagators seat. |
| Re: Fleetwood Evolution Camping Trailer | In Idaho | Has Fleetwood corrected these hose and door problems? What model/years were these problems occurring? I'm looking at a 2006 E2 so appreciate the info. |
| Re: Fleetwood Evolution Camping Trailer | chief_n8dub | just got an E2 & shopping for a generator, don't run a whole lota stuff. The miss's wants to run her hair dryer & curler & maybe a blender now and again. Any recomended sizes? |
| Re: Fleetwood Evolution Camping Trailer | canoeman | Well after 2 1/2 yrs. all the inside water lines had to be replaced due to kinking.
The hoses going to outside hose bib kinked and broke.
The underside had three kinked hot water lines from factory. Other than that it's a good trailer. Radio is very bright night light, I'm going to change it out. Main water fill line 1 3/8 hose gave up ghost as well. |
| Re: Fleetwood Jamboree class C motorhome | Bryan Graham | I had a Jamboree for 2 years in the 90s. We went everywhere in it and it gave us very few problems. We're looking at the new models now and I think they really do incorporate all of the experience they've gained over the years. Fleetwood are a good company and the Jamboree is a great class C. |
| Re: Fleetwood Terra LX class A motorhome | Mike | We got an '09 Terra LX 34B and really enjoy it. What minor issues came up after delivery were quickly dealt with leaving us with a nice unit for all sorts of trips. Great weight capacity. Very comfortable. |
| Re: Fleetwood Bounder Classic class A motorhome | Homer | I have owned a Bounder, one the very best coaches I have ever owned out of 7 class A's. Fleetwood just seems to give you every thing you need and want in a Bounder. Dependability above all else. |
| Re: Fleetwood American Tradition luxury motorcoach | LadyofLeisure | I have an American Tradition and the 43 Ft Full Wall Slide is just awesome! I love the full bath in the back with 1/2 bath. We have a 2001 AT and we are thinking about putting the TV on extention brackets. I would love to design my own . . . lots of idea stiring and show them what I would like to change. |
| Re: Fleetwood American Tradition luxury motorcoach | Robert | It's hard to believe, on a truely luxury motorhome, and this was is, that they still put the tv up over the front. It hurts your neck after awhile and not one seat is in a position where you have a straight look at the tv. |
| Re: Fleetwood Evolution Camping Trailer | E3 Owner | I've had my E3 for three years and have taken it on Dozens of hunting/camping trips. I love it, but I've had all the same problems as the others, (screen door sucks, water lines all krempted from factory and head liner coming down) all in all fairly simple fixes, replaced water lines with SPA tubing or braided steel. Only thing I still haven't fixed is crapy screen door. If anyone knows of an after market door I'm interested. Looking forward to E4 or beyond wish they would make one with a side by side UTV in mind. |
| Re: Fleetwood Evolution Camping Trailer | Julie | Hi. I am from New Zealand & have a used Evolution E1. 2007 model. We use it for fly fishing so it travels mainly on 4wd tracks. We love it apart from
The screen door
The water pipes under the sink
The dolly wheel
The main 4 x struts that wind up the roof are slightley bent as we have alot of winds here so now the door will not clip onto place at the top with the 2 x white clips
All this can be repaired so not such a big deal.
We are wanting spares for it & have emailed many dealers but NO ONE replies Does anyone know of a good dealer that can send out parts to NZ
Thanks
Julie |
| Re: Fleetwood Evolution Camping Trailer | Ken Goody | We have an E2 we pull with a Honda CRV 4 cylinder. Pulls real nice no problems pulling or with the camper. We use it a lot and like it. |
| Re: Fleetwood Evolution Camping Trailer | ralph | For anyone: what kind of Vehicle are you pulling the E2 or the E3 with (V8,V6 ect...)? |
| Re: Fleetwood Evolution Camping Trailer | dogboy | Im going to dealer this week. what should be my top dollar when I give my offer? |
| Re: Fleetwood Evolution Camping Trailer | Katie, Medford, Oregon | Had our E2 for almost two years now. Screen door sucks. The heater will roast you out. I have found that the radio will drain your battery, just disconnect the battery when not in use, which you should do anyway. Hot water tank is awesome. towes and handels great, holds out polaris sportsman 700 and all our gear. kinda of wish i would have gotten the E3. I do recommened getting the cutting board that fits over the sink for more counter space. |
| Re: Fleetwood Evolution Camping Trailer | Randy - North Bend WA | Does anyone have any experience with the E4 loaded with two ATV's? Just curious to what happens with the tongue weight? |
| Re: Fleetwood Evolution Camping Trailer | canoeman | same trouble here with water lines Under sink and water lines going to shower and kinked lines under trailer
I love the trailer, hate the quality control
I had to redo almost all moving water lines.
cassette toilet leaks into cavity under toilet.
dont drive with poop tank full.
hard to find adapters for shower and sink drain lines
radio light stays on all the time very annoyingv ery bright
would recomend 12 volt power lift, trailer is a bear to crank up.
keep an eye on screws holding ceiling to aluminum channel running down both side of ceiling they come out.
replace smoke detector with battery unit, unit chirps after disconnecting power to trailer |
| Re: Fleetwood Evolution Camping Trailer | deepdewdew | do these suckers fit into a standard double garage |
| Re: Fleetwood Southwind class A motorhome | Coveman6 | bought a 2007 Fleetwood Southwind 37C. Now have 9000 miles and love it. Again same start up problems. Like buying a car 20 years ago. My dealer made all the difference in the world. I agree with Michael's comment. United RV is the tops. Great people family owned. I have no stake in this company and no personal relationship just one satisfied customer. Fleetood can be a pain to work with but having a good dealer means everything. The coach performs very well. Expect to go slow up mountains but you can spend the extra little travel time counting how much money you still have in the bank since you did not buy a diesel. One thing I am not happy about is I discovered after purchase that it was a 2007 unit on a 2006 Ford chasis. Watch out for that when buying |
| Re: Fleetwood Evolution Camping Trailer | HappyCampers | We bought an E-2 in August of 2008 and decided to chuck it all, put a few belongings in storage and hit the road following my husbands career. Since then we have tripled our income! We have spent 7 out of the last 10 months in the E-2. We've been to 10 or so states and will head into colorado in July for several weeks. The E-2 has everything that we want. Two big beds, hot water, shower, toilet, inside and outside gas stoves, fridge, sink, outside shower, toy hauler, stylish looks, modern interior, furnace, airconditioner. Although our airconditioner works fine, we bought an extra portable one too and have been freezing every since. It holds the cold air just fine. Also the heat. We have camped in 103 degrees and also 26 degrees. A tip...buy electric mattress covers and electric blankets for both bunks. Nice! We can always rent a condo on a short term lease if we get tired of the camper...but we never do!!! |
| Re: Fleetwood Evolution Camping Trailer | Jack in Oregon | I read all of the comments listed on this site regarding the Evolution. We have an EV3 and have used it for about 1 1/2 years in many different road and weather conditions. Chris, it sounds like you've had some pretty frustrating times with yours.
The biggest problem(s) we've had with ours has been two poorly installed fresh water hoses (one to the sink and one to the outside shower.) It must have been on a Friday with "beer 30" coming up fast when the "installer" performed these simple tasks. I couldn't believe that the final checkout from Fleetwood didn't catch that these two hoses were so crimped, that they were inoperable. So went our shake down cruise.
I've since replaced them with stainless steel, braided flexible hoses, (Home Depot, Lowe's) amid many expletives stated be me and directed to the neanderthal that originally installed them.
My observations are that it is a good trailer with a better quality control program from the factory needed....are you listening Fleetwood?
Here's my question to my fellow EV'ers...does your stereo component light always stay on, even when the unit is turned off?
Is this some kind of "night light?"
Let's talk.
Jack

| Re: Fleetwood Tioga class C motorhome | Snowbird | Thanks everyone, because of the information you all have shared, I am even more excited about RVing and the Tioga; which, was my first choice when I decided on full-timing (next year when I will retire).
|
| Re: Fleetwood Tioga class C motorhome | Jim | We have a 2006 Tioga SL, 30U model. After all the items that needed fixing from the factory were repaired, it's now a nice rig. I think the rear bedroom slideout should go the opposite way as with both of them out it leans about 3 degrees left on a level surface. Ours has shower only, no tub. Works for us. |
| Re: Fleetwood Tioga class C motorhome | snowbird | I haven't gotten a rig yet, but I am interested to know if anyone has a Jamboree 30u or Tioga 30sl. I've seen floor plans featuring shower with tub and I would like to know if they are 'sufficient' for bathing. |
| Re: Fleetwood Bounder Diesel class A motorhome | Cat | We have had a 2007 Bounder for 18 months and 14,000 miles. We love it. Good power plenty of room, great to drive, alot for the money. Had some small problems Fleetwood and dealer took care of them. I would buy again. |
| Re: Fleetwood Bounder gas class A motorhome | Robert Carr | I bought a Fleetwood in February. Incredible buy. Good price and it's been trouble free so far apart from 3 minor items (2 electrical and one for a water valve sticking). The dealer is still in business and I'm getting excellent service. |
| Re: Fleetwood Evolution Camping Trailer | Chris | We've had the E2 for a few years now. Great frame, body, tent and roof. Hauls fine, handles dirt roads ok. Every single component(sink, fridge, stove, heater, water heater, stereo, thermostat) is a complete piece of junk. I dont know if Fleetwood was trying to keep prices down or what, but every component has broken on us multiple times. |
| Re: Fleetwood Evolution Camping Trailer | Joe | Curious about counter space for cooking with the E3. Where do you prep? -Can't quite decide between a e2 and e3...
|
| Re: Fleetwood / Coleman Evolution Camping Trailer | ron c | I've hauled mine all over the west and i love it! Pulls great, goes anywhere my 4X4 truck will. Keeps you warm and dry and is well-built. Highly recommend this one! |
| 2008 Fleetwood Discovery | Greg P | We have a 2008 Discovery. When I bought this coach it was 10 months old and I was told by the first owner that he'd had some minor problems that had all been resolved. He told me what they were but I don't really remember. But I've had it good. Really nice coach. |
| Re: Fleetwood Terra LX class A motorhome | Drew | The Terra we ordered came with the wrong counter tops. They wanted us to take it anyway and have it fixed by someone else. We bought a Winnebago instead and like it a lot..and a king bed as well. |
| 2007 Fleetwood Discovery | Rich P | Like this coach very much. bought it in 07 and a few problems as with all coaches but manufacturer and dealer sorted them out. Don't know why there is critisim of fleetwood, my experience (2 rvs) has been good. |
| 2008 Fleetwood Revolution 40R | 40R Owner | I have a 2008 40R with a full-wall slide that we bought in Feb 08. Have not had any major problems with the coach, but have found that Fleetwood can be very chinzy as far as fixing minor stuff. For example, there was some missing screws - Fleetwood said that they are not covered by warranty. That's Chinzy! |
| Re: Fleetwood Terry Premier Travel Trailer | Gayle | I like the styling outside and the layout shown with the rear kitchen. The longest version of the Premier has 2 slides but I like the shortest version best. Fleetwood RVs really seem to be getting better. |
| Re: 2008 Fleetwood Revolution LE | Dennis Myhre | Comments about the poor quality of any manufacturer could be echoed for the entire RV industry. Where is Japan when we need her (or him)?? |
| 2009 Fleetwood / Coleman Evolution Camping Trailer | Steady | Just took our E2 on its maiden voyage this last weekend. All is great. |
| Re: Fleetwood / Coleman Evolution Camping Trailer | Jim M | Had my E-2 for two years. I love it. Pulls awesome. Screen door sucks cheaply made. I take to my hunting area with rough roads and it handles it just fine. I want an E-4 now. |
| 2006 Fleetwood Southwind - stress cracks | Lybs | We have found stress cracks in the body of our 2006 Fleetwood Southwind. WE were able to get one fixed because it was obvious that it was caused by overtightening screws holding the hot water heater in place. We have taken pictures of the ones in the back of the unit where the ladder is attached but Fleetwood is saying that it is not structural. That seems to be a pretty common statement. Are there others with similiar problems? |
| 2008 Fleetwood / Coleman Evolution Camping Trailer | Chelise | This thing is the bomb! We have taken this all over this summer from full hook-up camp sites to primitive camps on the top of mountains scouting for elk. Two kids, 2 and 5 and one large German Shorthair. Plenty of space, even fairly cool in the heat! Buy one now! |
| Re: Fleetwood / Coleman Evolution Camping Trailer | Ross Texas | I've looked at many of these camping trailers in the last few days. The evolution looks good inside and out and I like the cargo deck area. Still looking but really thinking about the evolution. |
| 2008 Fleetwood Terra | Erik J | We have a 2008 Fleetwood Terra. Great motorhome. We really looked at a lot of motorhomes and options and decided on the Terra. Never regretted it. Don't buy into any of the negative stuff about Fleetwood, they make a good product. Sure, we've had a few problems, but minor and taken care of. I really recommend Fleetwood. |
| Re: Fleetwood Pulse and Icon models | Pete J | I did a test drive of a Icon over the weekend. The mercedes diesel handled very well. Really liked it and really thinking about it. |
