| Re: Dutchmen travel trailer | Sam | Rubber Roof tip on Dutchmen....every few months you need to get on the roof and inspect the caulk around pipes and joints...the caulk cracks and will leak....get a tube of caulk and clean crack and touch up to seal off. |
| Re: Dutchmen travel trailer | mike | I have a 2007 dutchmen 25f and love it. No problems at all. This is my 4th trailer and by far the best. The only thing is i wish you could lower the electric hot water temperature for it is way too hot, but I can live with that. Dutchmen make good trailers. |
| 2007 Dutchmen Denali | Will | I have a 2007 Denali and could not be happier, converter went out, but that is not the manufactures fault, neither are the leaks some people have. Read your owners manual, it says right in there to check for leaks every 90 days. Trailers being pulled down these rough roads are bound to have problems. Appliances and tires are not the fault of Dutchmen. I have been camping for 35 years and have had several campers and Thor products are one of the best. If you have a Colorado or a Denali or any other name other than Dutchmen, its not a Dutchmen. They are just owned by the same company that owns Dutchmen. Please don’t bash Dutchmen if you do not own one. |
| RE: 2007 Four Winds Dutchmen on Kodiak chassis | KR | Denny, trade it already. From reading your posts all over the net you give the impression you will never be happy. |
| 2006 dutchmen travel trailer | May Cooper | We love this camper, but have had some electrical problems. Getting good service is a problem. Dutchmen were good during the warranty period. Based upon your experiences, would you buy one of this manufacturer's RVs again?: Yes. Rating: 4/5. |
| 2007 Dutchmen Denali 26FB | Leo | Had some issues with the microwave, the DVD and the toilet valve was leaking. All of those things were replaced by the dealer. However, I had problems with wasps one summer. I have the winter package on the trailer. Upon investigation, I found that Dutchmen had cut the fiberglass board too short and to cover up their mistakes, they put tape to cover the area. After the first winter, the tape became loose and the wasps were able to build their nest. After showing the pictures to Dutchmen, I was told that I was out of luck because my 1 yr warranty had expired, even if this was in my opinion a hidden defect. I will now have to fix this myself. No other problams except that there was a lot of glue on the carpet. Freedom RV, which overall I am pretty satisfied with although after sales service is mediocre. |
| 2004 T@B microlite Dutchmen trailer | Terry and Gordie | We have a 2004 T@B and love the design of it! It is a downsize from our airtsteam 35ft. motorhome and we have never missed the motorhome a minute. We had ceiling bumps from delamination problems and they took it back to the factory and fixed it and they did a wonderful job!It has towed behind us for thousands of miles and never given us any trouble. The interior is spacious and we took the table out and put in boards for making the bed. Never miss our table. George Sutton was our dealer in Eugene,Ore. and he has always done us well. We had the ceiling bumps and our converter went out and Dutchmen replaced it. Great service always from both. Based upon your experiences, would you buy one of this manufacturer's RVs again?: Yes. Rating: 5/5. |
| 2007 Dutchmen 25F travel trailer | Gary B | I have a 2007 Dutchmen 25F lite and have no complaints....I haven't had one problem...I changed out the mattress with a Queen. |
| 2002 Dutchmen Lite 25QB | Tyan | We have a 2002 Dutchmen Lite 25QB we bought it in 03 as a close out. We have enjoyed it until a few days ago. When we went to pull it and the front left corner started to open up and found it was a full of water damage we just had it serviced and the dealer fixed a leak on the rear window we had no ideal it was leaking up front. The dealer said they have problems with the water standing in the channel trim and sepping up. Not very happy with are trailer at this time. It is only half paid for and it will need serious work. Our old trailer was a 78 and in better shape then this one at the time. |
| 1996 Dutchmen Classic 36FBS travel trailer | Diane P | My husband and I have a 1996 36FBS Classic and have never had a minute's trouble with it. It still looks new inside and out. Super good construction and over the years, they style is still quite in date. We did research several campers and makes prior to this purchase and we are still (after 12 years) delighted with it and the way it has held up, even with 12 years of four grandchildren. Still a pleasure, Dutchman, still the best! |
| Re: 2007 Dutchmen travel trailer | Bill H | I have a 2007 dutchmen Colorado 2f this trailer is not cheap , only have had it for 9 months and had the floor and wheel well flares split open this winter .I live Canada and Dutchmen will not cover because they say are winter are to cold .I think they should have a look at the material product they put in and how they put it in .There is lot of trailer floors that spilt and Dutchmen and the dealers selling are not covering off.So much for buying a trailer with that is back by them. |
| 1998 Dutchmen travel trailer | Russ P | I own a 1998 30ft Dutchman that we just love. We have had it going on two years now and have not had any problems. We use it almost every weekend out on our lake property. I would recommend a Dutchman to anyone who is seriously looking for a good quality travel trailer. |
| Dutchmen T@B - screenroom color? | John Barr | We just bought our T@B August 2007. Big change from our motorhome, we love it. It's made camping uncomplicated. Only downside is that after we purchased a white one with red trim to match the H3 we find out the very nifty screenroom only comes in yellow. Thor/Dutchman,,,what are you thinking? You market this wonderful product in custon colors and don't have a matching screenroom. Howabout a neutral one? We love our rig and the awning is working out well, just wish we had a screen room. If anyone out there has a solution for an aftermarket product, let me know. JohnPaulBarr@aol.com |
| 2003 Dutchmen Lite 26QB-SSL | Robert W | My 2003 Dutchmen Lite 26QB-SSL had factory slide seals improperly installed that allowed water to deteroriate slide wall and floor over time. The slide began to sway in and out while towing. Even though factory warranty had expired, I felt they should reimburse me. They would not talk to me or the repair shop. I wrote Wade Thompson, president of Thor Industries. He didn't even respond. Be sure to inspect for water damage in hidden places before your factory warranty is out. No more Thor products for me. |
| 2007 Dutchmen 31' trailer | frustrated | Has anyone had any issues or concerns with Dutchmen 2007 31 foot trailer. Too many to list here and getting the pass the buck treatment. |
| Re: 2007 Dutchmen travel trailer | Tony | Spend your thousands of dollars on a leaky tarp! You will at least be able to dispose of it. My 1996 26.5 RL fell apart after a couple years. Sorry construction and workmanship |
| 2007 Dutchmen 37 SDSL travel trailer | Brian Z. | We have a 2007 Dutchmen 37 sdsl with 3 pullouts and 1 1/2 baths . We love it the layout is second to none |

| 2006 Dutchmen T@B 16Q | Pio DiMaggio | I am the owner of a 2006 T@B 16Q _ Three window, Queen bed, towed by my much beloved 1990 VW Window Van. And, I am wheelchair-bound. The VW has a wheelchair lift installed. Even with somewhat reduced mobilityu the T@B is still a good buy, and $30K plus less than the Bambi. The showers matter, unless you are in a truckstop, BUT you can have your own shower and stall by purchasing a $250 Cdn Dollar item by Coleman, called "Hot Water on Demand". You can then have a shower whenever and wherever you want.
To the T@B naysayer Christine, I say, look at the T@B again. See how wellbuilt it is, how well it tows, |
| Dutchmen travel trailer | Ron W | We have had our 2004 27BS model Dutchmen for 2 seasons and we love it. The storage was the selling point for us. Now we have just traded up to a 30SDL and hope to enjoy it as much as we do the 04. |
| Re: 2007 Dutchmen travel trailer | Holly P | We have owned 3 different Dutchmen trailers in the past ten years. We have loved all of them and never had a problem with any them. When it's time to trade again I am sure we will pick another Dutchmen! |
| Re: DutchmenT@B teardrop trailer | Ron Morris | The T@B name is said to be short for "Taking America Back" and is a reference to exploring America as in the old less complicated days. But, and sorry to be a spoil sport, in Europe it was designed and manufactured by a company called Tabbert - and they thought up the name. We've had ours for 6 weeks now and really love it. We didn't want to tow some huge thing and the T@B really meets our needs. |
| Re: 2007 Dutchmen travel trailer | Arol G | I have a 1998 Dutchman, I think it is great and lived in it as a camp host.
Had a roof leak a couple years ago but was able to repair. Never found the actual cause? As we are two large people a slide is a must for our next one. That 30L DSL looks good! |
| Re: 2007 Dutchmen fifth wheel | Pete N | I had the 2002 Dutchmen Classic fifth wheel and had some problems. I had the axles replaced and a sidewall leak fixed. This was done under warranty and I owned it for another two mainly trouble free years. I got a good deal when I bought it and the dealer was good during the warranty. I think the dealer is a really important part of buying an RV. We liked the layout and the quality was really good for the price. I would recommend dutchmen if you buy from a really reputable dealer. |
| Re: Dutchmen travel trailer | Kerry J | I just want to say I have a 2006 Dutchmen 26FB DSL and it's given us nothing but pleasure. I think they're great value and we've had very few problems. |
| 2004 Dutchmen travel trailer | Connie | We've had this trailer since new. We've had no real problems but lots of stuff like cabinet door coming off and we also had the linoleum lifting in one area. I think they're good value for the money but next time I would hope for something with better quality. |
| 2003 Dutchmen travel trailer | Johanna | The floorplan is great and that's why we bought it, with a nice kitchen and stove. But we've had problems with leaks especially the shower and the dealer was not helpful at all. I also found Dutchmen was not helpful and I wouldn't buy another of their RVs. Other than leaks the only real maintenance we've needed was replacing an awning that blew off in high wind. |
