| Re: Chalet Alpine folding travel trailer | Steve H | We have the 2005 Alpine with the front bunk beds option and we use it a lot. It's held up really well even though we've pulled it into some really rough places. The only real problem we had was with the air conditioning but we got that fixed. Our customer service experience is very good. We've also had an aliner but I would recommend the chalet and the bunk bed option was right for us. |
| Re: Alpine Coach Limited | Tony J | I also have a 2003, triple slide and nothing to say but good about it. We've had a few electrical problems and other minor things but nothing really. Great coach. |
| Re: Alpine Coach Limited | Ken Barlow | Wonderful coach. I have a 2003 and love it. I've put 38,000 miles on it and done no more than the standard maintenance requirements. I agree that it's a joy to drive and own. |
| Re: Alpine Coach Limited | Pete Kerchov | I have a 2003 Alpine Coach with 36,000 miles. We have had a few problems but none were serious. We;ve really enjoyed this coach (our third), it's a joy to drive and own. I think we wouldn't go for anything other than the Alpine when we trade. |
| Re: Alpine Coach Limited | Ros J | We have a 2002 Alpine and reading this RoTi review I can see how much they've changed. We had a few problems with the dealer (not Western they were very good). We had a few engine problems and Cummins were excellent. This is our first RV and we've now got it the way we like it. Based upon your experiences, would you buy one of this manufacturer's RVs again?: Yes. Rating: 5/5.

| 2005 Western Recreational Vehicles Alpine | Susan M | We have the 2005 Alpine and still like its features and have driven it to and through Mexico and back this year without problems. However, in 2006, on the way back from New England to Florida, we were driving on the interstate and suddenly heard a loud metallic clunk. Amazingly, we were able to steer to a flat shoulder and pull out of traffic. The U joint had failed, and our drive shaft broke off completely. We have noticed on the internet that other Alpine owners have had problems with the U joints failing, something which should not happen with proper maintenance. Someone suggested that Western RV received "a bad batch of U joints." However, there has never been a recall or a suggestion that customers have their U joints checked. We spoke to Western several times during the incident and later, and they were unconcerned. At an Alpine rally we spoke to a vice president, who was equally unconcerned. Meanwhile, we keep checking the U joints before we travel. |
| 2003 Alpine | Richard Z | Purchased the RV at a FMCA rally at Perry GA. Sale was assigned to an attending dealer in Tulsa. I had to travel from Wichita Falls to Tulsa when make ready was done. Each time they said it was ready it was obvious that it wasn't. Would have to hang around two days for them to correct problems. The chassis was great, anything above was not.
Problems were compartment doors did not fit flush, fit of other body, auto sat. which they installed would only work half the time, A&E auto awning had to be replaced, constant electrical inverter problems, a black holding tank would stop up (their solution-they provided me with a sewer snake) and the item that took the longest, almost three months was the front A/C. WR couldn't supply any parts because they changed design. They practically had to manufacture parts in Tulsa and after 3 months it would fail again before I got home. Interior drawers had cheap drawer guides, drawers would constantly fall down or come our while moving. I could go on and on but it is still painful for me. You get the idea.

| RE: Western Recreational Vehicles Alpine | Richard H. Zentgraf | I had a 2003 Alpine 36' purchased new. Coach spent the long periods at the dealer trying to be fixed. Never got fixed correctly. Finally unloaded the sorry thing with a little over 6k on the odemeter. |
