| Clark | Fulltiming questions | My wife and I want to retire early and go on the road but we have three big concerns:
1. Health Insurance: the cost, and is there a nation-wide program that can be used anywhere? We both have some pre-existing conditions. Has anyone run into problems getting health care that's affordable? Can you recommend any health care companies?
2. Many people's posts mention a "tight budget", but we don't know what kind of figures people are talking about. $1k a month? $3k? $5k? etc. Is cost outlay for camps, fuel, and insurance the biggest budget concern? Does anyone know where we might see examples of actual budgets for full-timing?
3. There seems to be a lot of different camp memberships: Gold, Platinum, Super Gold, etc. It's a little hard to understand what the advantages are for each of these differing memberships. Does anyone have any thoughts on one or more national memberships: costs, availability, etc.?
I know this is a lot but we're very ready to de-stress and move on while we're still able to enjoy some time on the road. Thank you for any help you can give us. |
