Jayco Jay Series camping trailer exterior

Pricing (from Jayco 10/08) - starting MSRP $7357

Jayco says: "Ditch that tent. The Jay Series is Jayco’s most popular and affordable camping trailer.  With a variety of floorplans that sleep 5 to 8, the Jay Series offers family-friendly choices in furniture configurations and amenities.  Easy to setup and maintain, the Jay Series makes it easy to upgrade from a tent."

Jayco camping trailers are heavy duty A-frame construction with undercoated floor deck constructed of 'Structurwood.'  Easy care vinyl flooring is throughout the interior.

There are five 2009 models available; we show floorplan for the popular 1006 model below.  The travel length for this model is 16'9" with a campsite length of 20'10".  Unloaded vehicle weight is 1980 lbs and approx. hitch weight is 225 lbs.  Jayco is right - this certainly does make it easy to upgrade from a tent:

We think that Jayco have a point - ditch that tent! - with a starting MSRP of $7,357, it's great value ...

CindyWe are looking at the Jay Series, the Coleman Cheyenne, and the Rockwood. Any suggestions? Pluses/Minuses? First time camper purchase.
BarbiedollWe love Jayco. We have had 3 jayco trailers; a 96n26 ft, a a designer 35 ft at a permanent summer campsite, and finally, an older 95 pop up we bought to run around in Wy and Mt. it even had a gas heater, and when we got caught in a surprize snow in Utah in Oct, we actually used the heater. We survived amidst the 40 ft Motorhomes. This looks good. Go jayco.
John AThis is real value for money. Jayco make great RVs and how can you go wrong for the price?
Jennie DubnerWe've had 3 Jayco's. We had a 99 Designer, a 2003 Kiwi and now we have a 2008 Jay Flight. All quality. I recommend Jayco and wouldn't buy anything else.
Craig MorrisJayco make great products. My last trailer was a Jayco Designer and we loved it. These camping trailers are cute and we're thinking we could get away with one of these without the cost and hassle of a big trailer. Looks like it's got everything you need.
