| Re: Airstream Interstate class B | Arol | I think this is great!
Something with 2 in mind,
for those who need more space while camping, pack a screen room for big kids, etc.
I think these are designed right for 2 adults. If people want to add kids they have to adjust or get bigger camper.
Now if I can just find a good used one I can afford. arolgeib@yahoo.com |

| Re: Airstream Safari Sport travel trailer | Urbanologist | Just acquired a 2008 Safari (Thor Foreclosure) at a great price. Those that want a lower price point are seeking the wrong thing: LOWER QUALITY! You do, ultimately, get what you pay for. Aircraft quality construction and quality "craftspersonship" is not cheap. You need to shake the Walmart and Costco mentality to appreciate an Airstream. Yes, they are expensive bought new. However, these are legacy RV's; they can literally be passed down to your heirs. Secondly, they can be bought used. They still won't be cheap: they hold there value. Look and compare any RV to Airstream unit. Unfortunately, some people over extend themselves for a Airstream (that's how I got mine), or have been down-sized. These units get sold to raise needed cash. Unfortunately, their loss is your potential gain. Bottom line, Bentley's and BMW 7 Series are not Lincoln's or Corvette's Chevrolets. Go to the 2012 Alumapalooza held at the Airstream factory next May/June and see for yourself. Almost 70% of EVERY Airstream ever made is somewhere in the World! No other RV can make that statement. Period. Once you've owned one, you'll NEVER regret it. Just don't buy more than you can really afford -- you'll hate to see it leaving. |
| Re: Airstream Safari Sport travel trailer | Terry | Responding to Robbies question about a tow vehicle for a 22 ft Sport. We tow a 2010 Sport with a 2011 toyota Sienna and find it to be an excellent tow vehicle. The 6 speed tranny is great. I can lock out 6th and tow in 5th with very rare downshifts to 4th. We get 17 to 19 MPG (canadiangallons..reduce by 20% for US gallons). The van is economical to drive solo as well.
We chose the sport model as I thought it would be at the upper end of the Sienna's towing ability but I am now preparsd to move up by 1000 to 1500 pounds so will probably sell the Sport and get a larger Airstream. Anyone interested in buying my Sport can contact me at sallynterryaz@aol.com |
| Re: Airstream Bambi small travel trailer | Judy | I own a used (2009) Dutchman Tada and the only advantage the Airstream Bambi has over my Tada is that it is wider. When two people are in my Tada, it is difficult to pass each other. The quality is as good as the Bambi and the price is much less. |

| Re: Airstream Safari Sport travel trailer | traveler | I bought a 2yr old Casita and sold it 2 yrs later for the same price. I added new tires and many miles.
I'm again in the market for a small trailer and thought the Air Stream would be a nice upgrade. It's nice all around but the price is ridiculous. The Casita is a much better buy so that's where I'll head. |
| Re: Airstream Bambi small travel trailer | Dee | Still looking for a 20ft Airstream Bambi in Ohio. Let me know if you have one for sale |

| Re: Airstream Safari Sport travel trailer | Robbie | We love the 22' sport, compact & modern, very well laid out...we want one. One question: what is most compact efficient vehicle for pulling 22' sport?? We don't want a monster truck or SUV, can anyone recommend a towing vehicle? |
| Re: Airstream Flying Cloud travel trailer | GracLen | I really love the airstream look. When I was a kid we always had an Airstream. I've decided my kids should have the same and the Flying Cloud is THE model as far as I'm concerned. I'm going to look for a used one that I can afford, but I guess a problem is they hold their value. |

| Re: Airstream Flying Cloud travel trailer | Pat_457 | I agree, Airstream are the best and I really like the Flying Cloud best of all. I think the people who argue about the price simply can't afford one. |
| Re:Airstream Classic Limited travel trailer | Sean | Fabulous and worth every cent. I have a 2009 and apart from my family it's the love of my life. Those who argue about the price are like Ford drivers who argue that a Mercedes is overpriced. This is the Mercedes of travel trailers or maybe even the Masarati. Get over it - or even better, get one (if you can afford it?) |
| Re: Airstream Safari Sport travel trailer | Big Lew | I have to agree with Mr. Beach. I do love the airstreams, but they are overpriced. Very similar to a Harley Davidson where as the name has more to do with it selling than the actual workmanship.
To say that the airstream has more value because it is more difficult to make just doesn't make any sense whatsoever. If we took the Casita and put rivet after rivet in it, does that make it better just because it took so long? Or, would you be concerned with the fact that it might have a better chance at leaking?
Again, I really like the Airstream, but there are so many other options today like the Egg, Casita, Lil Snoozy, Park Liner etc. They are so easy to tow and mind you, most have the same shape as the airstream. BTW....the fiberglass eggs have just as much resale as the airstreams! I can show you 30 foot airstreams that are selling for 1200-3000.00 and no one wants them simply because of the size of the vehicle that is needed to tow them and the gas that goes along with that. I would not say all people are looking to save money, but I think saying most people today are looking to save money will stand in line for the fiberglass campers. In this case, size does matter! |
| Re: Airstream Basecamp small travel trailer | Chris G | A custom ordered covered cargo trailer converted to a camping configuration would be cheaper, probably lighter and uniquely customizable to the owners desire and needs. |
| Re: Airstream Basecamp small travel trailer | 50" wide bed | If you look at the pics you can see that the bed folds out so that it is one 50" wide bed. that it presumably as long as the trailer. So it's a bit smaller than a full size bed width wise. |
| Re: Airstream Safari Sport travel trailer | Robert | Like all Airtreams, this unit is way, way overpriced! You can find comparable brands and models that might not look as 'space-age' but with the same features and comfort for a much more respectable price. |
| Re: Airstream Bambi small travel trailer | Ron | How does a R-Pod trailer compare to a Bambi. I have noticed they are lighter, cheaper and has some real good features. |
| Re: Airstream Basecamp small travel trailer | Carlos | I am selling my 2008 Airstream Basecamp. mint condition, red interior and includes a portable toilet small refrigerator and more.

| Re: Airstream Basecamp small travel trailer | Julie | Yes it's a little pricey but you couldn't build it for anything less and this little gem will outlast any plastic trailer. A perfectly beautiful piece you could hand down to your grandkids. |

| Re: Airstream Safari Sport travel trailer | Bob | Saw one of these in a campground this summer. Nice! I like the lightness of it, and it sure stands out. Owners were very happy with it. Cost less than others with the same quality. They let me see the interior...cool! |
