| Re: Heartland MPG liteweight teardrop trailer | Ray Family in Utah | After our family of 3 finally outgrew our T@B TQ, we upgraded to a MPG 183. We like the layout inside and having the bathroom with shower is going to be nice. Inside has decent storage, with 2 full pass-through storage(s) give you plenty of room to take gear. Tows VERY nice behind our 94 Ford Ranger XL 4X4 V-6 with the assist of a anti-sway hitch. FYI the radio is also a DVD player. None of the specs show this. Going to be fun in the mountains this summer. |

| Re: Heartland MPG lightweight teardrop trailer | Rhonda and Tom | We are the owners of the first MPG by Heartland on the East Coast. It's great. It's everything this article describes. We LOVE it! |
| Re: Heartland Sundance fifth wheel | Tom & Paula H | Picked up our 2010 297RE Sundance yesterday. Continue to be impressed by the fit, finish & function. Planning our first trip in two weeks. |
| Re: Heartland MPG lightweight teardrop trailer | Uncle Snap | My wife and I purchased the 183 off the floor while at the Charlotte NC RV fest last month. Very impressed with the balanced and light towing weight behind my '64 chevy 6-cyl sb truck (I am a classic car buff). Prodigy inertia electric brake controller all that was needed to make this a safe and sway-free ride to week-end campsites many hours away! Grandkids enjoy the bunk beds on inclimate days! With the slide, it's more spacious than the competition (Scamp, Tad, etc)- we've yet to fill up all exterior compartments! Found mis-wiring of tail lites and antennas -fixed easily by myself. Applied a non-slip padding under table top edges and under sink cover board to prevent movement while in tow. No other problems or needed mods. We like the modern engineering and construction techniques throughout(and it provides for a quiet evening while inside). The "retro" exterior completes the classic appeal. My wife likes the rubber-type laminate flooring and kitchen cabinets. I like the MPG's modern door, slide windows, and its curves. Have already spent 3 weekends with it! Oh... what about the MPG logo? Still waiting for response on that one. |
| Re: Heartland MPG lightweight teardrop trailer | EdwinMcCainMessenger | Yes, the MPG has a tall wardrobe. I have great color photos. |
| Re: Heartland MPG lightweight teardrop trailer | redcaddo | Looks interesting. Would like measurements. Is there a wardrobe or place for clothing? I do not see much storage. |
| Re: Heartland MPG lightweight teardrop trailer | Heartlandfan | We bought a Heartland Northtrail 31Red and absolutely love it!! I travel for work and have literally lived in it M-F for 18 months and still love it! I travel with my husband, 2 labs and a shiz-tzu!! |
| Re: Heartland North Trail travel trailer | Disappointed | My husband and I purchased a North Trail 31QBS because we liked the bunk room for our children. Unfortunately, there is NO HEAT in the bunk room. Heartland is telling us that is the way the coach is designed and that there isn't a way to install any heat to that area. If you're at all looking to do winter camping, we would not recommend this trailer. Otherwise, we are very pleased. |
| Re: Heartland MPG lightweight teardrop trailer | Chris | Terrific. I have a TAB and like it but the MPG looks like my next purchase. |
| Re: Heartland Edge ultralite travel trailer | Chuck | We bought a 2010 M21 and we're pleased. It weighs about 900 lbs more than our T@DA but, among many other features, it has 7 ft ceilings, a walk-around queen bed, and the same "Euro"-style windows we loved in the T@DA (why aren't these more common? Once you've had them, you're hooked!). We pull it with a 4-Runner with a weight-distributing hitch (highly recommended) and get 13 mpg overall. It is roomy, well-designed and comfortable. Our only complaint? My wife says it's interior color scheme must have been designed by a guy! Can't wait for travel season to start up again---I'll comment again if our opinion changes after our next 5000 miles.... |
| Re: Heartland Edge ultralite travel trailer | RJP47 | I love the M13 small version. Think its one of the cutest small travel trailers around. Nicer than the MPG from my view but waiting to actually see one. |
| Re: Heartland North Trail travel trailer | ROD | i am getting ready to purchse the 29BHSS. Can anyone tell me about the quality of this trailer |
| Re: Heartland Landmark fifth wheel | Tom Hartjes | We own the Landmark Augusta 08 and love it. Our only complaint would be the poor quailty of material used in the couch. It pulled apart at the seams after a years use. Had it recovered and now it's perfect. |
| Re:Heartland Bighorn 5th wheel | Dennis | also bought the 3385 and i have to say we used every weekend this summer and have had no problems at all it,s very well set up and is a center peice trailer for the rest of the park very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a well made and very well priced unit. |
| Re: Heartland North Country travel trailer | Tammy | We've had a bighorn spent last winter in Arizona with it and it was great. Now looking for a travel trailer rather than a 5th wheel and this looks perfect. |
| Re: Heartland Landmark fifth wheel | kay | I have a 2006 Montecello, rear den with four slides, excellent condition, slide awnings, onan generator and automatic satellite dish. Located in Moriarty NM kwilks02@comcast.net (505)220-5796 |
| Re: Heartland North Trail travel trailer | Don & Ericka | I would like to purchase a North Trail but the 280BH is just too long. Does anyone know if the 21FBS is available with the ramp door and fold up bed. I would buy it today if it were available. If you have any info I would appreciate an e-mail at ericka@amassoc.net |
| Re: Heartland Landmark fifth wheel | Parker | Our Landmark is now 1 week away from being one year old. We continue to think it is the best on the road. We only wish that the hitch weight was 200 pounds lighter. If you have a coach and need the best service, we found that Hayes Trailer Sales in Russellville, Kentucky is the best we have used. |
| Re: Heartland North Country travel trailer | KevinK | Heartland are good. I had a Bighorn for 2 years and we had very few problems and a lot of good times. Thinking of a travel trailer now and this looks good. Looking at the smallest model without slides. |
| Re: Heartland ElkRidge fifth wheel | Judy | I especially like the 34' model with the peninsula kitchen --other kitchens too small for real cooking. Only criticism would be that they do not offer 2-part bathrooms -- my strong preference. |
| Re: Heartland ElkRidge fifth wheel | Howard J | I'm a Heartland fan (I've had 2) and think the elkridge is the best so far. Love the loft arrangement. This is for me next time, |
| Re: Heartland North Trail travel trailer | freer | I just towed home our new 28 ft North Trail with a baic 1/2 ton and could not believe it. It towed better than our 2006 2200LB Bantam flier.Awsome trailer! |
| Re: Heartland Cedar Ridge extended stay trailer | Gordon Hughes | We've had 2 trailers and have used them mainly in just one location. We also pay for storage. It would be better to use one of these destination trailers and this looks good. |
| Re: Heartland North Trail travel trailer | USA | We can't wait for our new TT to arrive from the factory- I can not believe all the benefits to owning a North Trail- upscale RVing with low scale pricing! Thank you North Trail |
| Re: Heartland Landmark fifth wheel | P Day | We just purchased an 09 landmark and just love the lay out. After the dealership repaired a black water tank leak, a fresh water tank leak and replaced the fresh water tank pump 3 times we are finally on the road. It pulls effortlessly. We had to stop and have the rear air conditioner replaced and one of the blinds replaced and several popped screw heads replaced but after that nothing has gone wrong except some leaky pipe joints. The landmark is a great coach as long as it is under warranty. This coach has the best layout of them all. If you buy one, I would suggest you get one that is at least a year old so all the kinks are worked out. Great coach. |
| Re:Heartland Bighorn 5th wheel | tom and sandy | We have a 30LSTS cedar creek silverback. like it very much except we cannot stop along the road for lunch without extending one of the slides. Being new at 5ing we did not consider this. The bighorn 3055 remedies this situation well and would have some upgrades to our traveling. Any comments are welcome. tom and sandy |
| 2009 Heartland North Trail, 26rks | archbarb | We purchased the 2009 26rks for all of the great storage and private bedroom. We looked at many other brands, but the storage, 2" walls, enclosed underbelly, and not having to trade up to 3/4 ton truck sold us. Great product!!!!! |
| 2008 Heartland Sundance travel trailer | Cary K | I love the Sundance. After 5 months we;ve been totally satisfied. Minor problems resolved. We did a lot of research before we bought this product and we've not been sorry. |
| Re: Heartland Cedar Ridge destination trailer | Holly | We have a 2008 Sundance and we like it but I think what we really need is the Cedar Ridge extended stay. We spend most of our time in 2 places and I really like the big window look. Going to check them out. Thanks. Holly. |
| 2009 Heartland Landmark Augusta | Debby & Denis | Hi All, We have just purchased a Landmark Augusta it was between the pinehurst and augusta and augusta won because of the kitchen. We simply love it. Havn't towed it very far yet but will be heading south soon. I wish that I could say the same for the dealership we bought it from but as long as heartland honors our warranty work we won't have to deal with them again. Debby from Canada |
| 2005 Heartland Bighorn fifth wheel | Grace Knowles | I love the kitchen arrangement and the whole interior layout of the Landmark Augusta. We have a 2005 Hearland Bighorn and we love it but I'm definitely interested in a new Landmark. We're fulltimers and big Hearland fans. |
| 2009 Heartland Sundance 3300SK | TOM L | I am picking our 2009 Sundance 3300 sk on Saturday. Trading in our 03 mountaineer hoping it is a great rv. I was very impressed with all the bells and whistles for the price. I feel we really got a great deal. |
| 2008 Heartland Bighorn 3200 RL | Grace | We have a 2008 3200 RL and we love it. I like the walk-in wardrobe and all the storage. It's all good quality and well thought out with lots of features. |
| Re: Heartland Bighorn | Gene Sloan - Heartland Owners forum | Well, it finally happened. Our long awaited 2009, 3600 RL BH arrived. On May 20th, we took possession and pulled it home to put it on display during our 50th wedding celebration, May 24th. About a year ago we started thinking about what to get each other for this momentous occasion and it just all came together in a 3600 RL BH. We looked at park models, motor homes, 5th wheels and everything in between. We certainly didn't want to cheap out and not get the upgrades we had always dreamed of in 50 years of Rving. Grandma wanted a washer-dryer, a desk for her computer and lots of cupboard and closet space. Grandpa wanted a fireplace, a docking station, electric awning and lots of basement storage. Of course, there were other things that we both agreed were ncessary upgrades, such as stability, which we took care of with a set of strong arm stabilizers and an upgrade in 5th wheel hitch, which we took care of with the 20K Curt Q5. We also wanted a touch of luxury, which was taken care of with the BH woodworks, flat screen tvs, entertainment system and much, much more. We started working our way through the myriad of makes and models last Feb during a car trip to Az. We, at that point, had never heard of a BH. But as luck would have it, we stayed next door to a BH dealer in Mesa. Then our neighbor in the park, where we were renting, had a 2007 BH and volunteered to give us a tour. When we got back to ND we found a great BH dealer within 50 miles of where we live. We did a lot of comparing of prices and quality. No make or model came close to the 3600 RL BH. We also found the Heartland owners website to be a great service to prospective owners. The negative stuff is a little scary; however we have learned that nothing is perfect and some people handle our imperfect world by being positive and some by being negative. I thank Hearland for soliciting positive criticism. In my opinion it is helping to produce the best 5th wheel on the market today. Our new BH didn't come perfect, the dealer found a couple of minor defects and Grandma's keen eye found a couple. all being taken care of by a proud dealer.
Needless to say, our friends and relatives attending our 50th anniversary party were very impressed with our winter home on wheels. Meanwhile Grandma and Grandpa are looking forward to their 51st year of marriage and our first winter in our new BH in Salome, Az. It doesn't get much better than that. |
| Re: 2007 Heartland Bighorn | dickie sundance | I just love that big old horn. |
| 2008 Heartland Landmark | Jenny B | My husband and I looked at the Landmark 5th wheel in Quartzite, AZ. spring 2008. We were very much impress-ed with the quality inside and out. We are seriously considering trading our 5th wheel when we return to AZ in the fall. What I need to know is there a place located close to Indiana where we live 6 months throughout the summer that we can tour the factory where they are built, or where in Arizona is the closest dealership or factory that we can go to. We would perhaps we trading our current 5th wheel in, unless we can sell it out right. We plan on returning to Arizona sometime in September of this year. I would truly arrpreciate all information that you can send along with all the literature you have available. We are interested in something about 38 or so feet, interior colors, and all options that are available, as well as is this something we should order direct to get it exactly the way we want. This will be our 7th recrectional vehicle and probably our last. So I want to make sure this is something we can live the rest of our time out in, and enjoy it at the same time. I do not especially like the sofa that are made for like a loveseat for only two people, but the Augusta is the floor plan I like, with the exception of the small sofa. Thank you Jenny B. |
| Re: Heartland - new facility, new model | Terry | Everything I read about heartland is good. They must have good quality control. Wish I could say the same about my Fleetwood. |
| Heartland Sundance 2900MK | gus graves | I am going full time soon. checking 5th wheels out for a year and fell in love with sundance 2900mk. see you all soon. |
| 2008 Heartland Cyclone 4012 Toy Hauler | Andy | I just put a down payment on a Cyclone 4012 Toy Hauler. The quality looks great and the layout is even better! We'll be living in this unit, so I hope it all works out.

| Re: 2007 Heartland Bighorn | traveler | WE ARE LOOKING TO BUY A BIG HORN,AND WE TRAVEL A LOT.HAS ANYONE HAD A PROBLEM FINDING A DEALER THAT WORKS ON THEM? |
| 2008 Heartland Bighorn | John Kemp | We have a 2008 Heartland Bighorn 3670RL and love it. The interior is superb with real hardwood cabinetry all at a good price. No problems with electrics. |
| 2008 Heartland Bighorn 3670RL | Bob and Linda | We have a 2008 3670RL and love it. We are having trouble getting the satellite in the bedroom to work. We have a second receiver but still no luck. any idea? Also, anyone got the wiring schematic for this 5r? closest service is over 70 miles away. |
| 2007 Heartland Bighorn 2995RK | Gil | We have had our '07 2995RK (31'-7") for a year now and are, overall, very pleased with the layout, materials quality, storage space and interior design. We are a little disapointed with some workmanship issues we have had, but all have been resolved and we still consider the Bighorn an outstanding value. |
| Re: 2007 Heartland Bighorn | Lance | We are looking at buying a Big Horn 3670RL. Would like to know what kind of tow vehicle you have? |
| 2008 Heartland North Trail 21FBS travel trailer | bb | We are the proud new owners of a Heartland 21fbs. We believe you won't find a higher quality ultralite on the market. |
| Re: Heartland features and innovations | Dave | I saw one of these at a RV show and I liked it very much. I just wonder how good these Heartland campers are. |
| Re: Heartland features and innovations | Charles B. | I like the idea iof the hide a bed air mattress, is it available seperate? |
| Re: 2008 Heartland North Trail travel trailer | dj | We looked at the 28RLS at a show last month. We were very impressed with the quality and the fact that it is an ultralite means we can move into a quality 28' without changing tow vehicles. |
| 2007 Heartland Trailrunner 2700 BHS | Roger Coltman | We've been very happy with the Trailrunner. We really bought it because the salesman pointed out the welded aluminum sidewall frames instead of the usual wooden studs. We'd heard so many horror stories but this just can't rot like the wooden trailers. No problems at all so far. Based upon your experiences, would you buy one of this manufacturer's RVs again?: Yes. Rating: 5/5. |
