| Sally | We plan to take out T@B across country this summer along with 4 bicycles and two kayaks. Currently, we pull it with a Subaru Forester, but think we may need a stronger vehicle to haul all the gear over the mountain passes. What vehicles do other T@B owners recommend? | Re: TAB teardrop trailer |
| JB | FEB. 2010, Indiana: We are selling our 2010 TA@B TQ, red with white trim. We love it, but are ready (already) to upgrade to a larger unit with a shower / toilet combo. Contact: sale-35tbs-1557397948@craigslist.org See the ad at Craig's List by searching for ad # 1557397948. | Re: TAB teardrop trailer |
| Bill | Am interested in buying a used TAB --- Preferably with red trim. Am located in Central Oregon so prefer that it be in the NW states.
Have no need for the self-contained, TV, and that stuff included in later models but if the price is right that works too. Please respond to this site and I will get back to you. Thanks. | Re: TAB teardrop trailer |
| George M Sutton | During the course of Tab's production, my dealership was the largest and most successful dealership selling Tabs and Tada's in the nation. When we heard they were going out of production, we purchased every unit they had left on the production line. Although we have sold most of them, we do have them available at significant savings...which is why they have sold so quickly. Check out suttonrv.com and look up the Tab inventory. You can buy a new one for the price of used...and you get the warranty, too. | Re: TAB teardrop trailer |
| Andrew | I just built my first teardrop camper. It came out awesome! It's a blast to camp in. I designed it myself. Plenty of room for me, my wife, and our 1yr old son. You can call even if you just want tips on how to build your own. | Re: Cozy Cruiser teardrop trailer |

| one eye | I am looking for used Egg'or the like, must be in good condition, fairly new. Where can I see these around Portland Oregon? will travel if properly motivated | Re: Eggcamper small travel trailer |
| CableGuy | Opinions on the cover for winter are mixed. Some say it's good; others say it can trap moisture and do more harm than good. Other things to do to winterize: Remove the battery, empty water from the holding container and put in some RV antifreeze, re-install tank and run water until you get antifreeze out of the sink. Remove anything left in fridge and any personal items that may be damaged or cause damage from freezing/thawing (liquids, etc.). I also like to use the jacks to take the weight off the axle/suspension and tires. | Re: TAB teardrop trailer |
| Sally | We have a brand new T@B and want to get it ready for winter storage. We live in northern NH and it gets really cold. We have it in a cover-it to protect it from the snow. What else do we need to do to winterize it? | Re: TAB teardrop trailer |

| Shelley | Just looked at a T@B TS 2010 (the one with the bathroom) and the dealer made no mention of Thor not manufacturing the product any more. yes@mcn.org | Re: TAB teardrop trailer |
| CableGuy | On the issue of the R-Pod -- it's a good unit with its own advantages and disadvantages -- but it's not "much nicer" than the T@B. I looked at both and bought the T@B. But I agree that the R-Pod is a good place to start looking now that the T@B is apparently history.
The headroom in the T@B is an issue that will affect everyone differently. It all depends on how you are going to use the trailer, and your own expectations for how you want to live on the road. I am 6'2", so I can't stand up in my T@B, but it's really no issue to me at all. In a trailer of this size, how much time do you spend walking around? You don't. When making food on the stovetop, I sit on the nearby seat. It's just not an issue for me. | Re: TAB teardrop trailer |
| Billy Bob | If you can no longer get the T@B, look at the R-POD made by Forest River. Much nicer than the T@B and fully self contained, all for less money. There is also a R-POD Forum with a lot of good info. | Re: TAB teardrop trailer |
| Bill Robison | We bought our EggCamper a few weeks ago. Boy is it roomy! I'm a big guy at 6'3" and about 260# - it seems just right for me - lots of headroom both standing or lying in bed! I have created some mods to put on a bath door, rear storage and make the second bed wide enough for both granddaughters to sleep comfy. I've taken all the wood doors down so I can paint them a soft color my wife picked out to coordinate with our cushions, etc. Have some ideas for solar charge unit - but for now will use Honda EU2000i genset for remote camping.
If anyone would like to see one in real life we are near Lansing, Michigan. Send us a note deepthinkers(at)gmail.com

| Burton | I'm interested in a T&B, but my husband is 6-1. I'm 5-8 and do most of the cooking, what's the reality of being able to make this trailer work? | Re: TAB teardrop trailer |
| hilltop | I like the t@b's but the headroom is an issue. As well we a family, so I was looking for more space. I bought an Alto and love it. They are new on the market so used ones are not available yet. | Re: TAB teardrop trailer |

| Rod Mohr | I bought a 2005 in Salt Lake City this month and it came with a yellow and black Screen room. No instructions or brand name to be found anywhere on it. It has sectional aluminum poles, clear plastic window that lift with lines. I saw a T@B newsletter on the net with good instructions, but mine is of a different design. Was wondering whether there were any other brands out there that I could research | Re: TAB teardrop trailer |
