Quicksilver 6.0 tent camper - exterior, open and closed

Quicksilver says the all-new 6.0 is "builds on our most popular camper up to this point, the 5.0 QUICKSILVER, with its single bunk design. But while it is still a single bunk camper, we have listened to customer's input and incorporated enough design and product enhancements, that we felt like a new model designation was in order. The all-new 6.0 QUICKSILVER takes the popular 5.0 concept and adds a new dimension to it by "turning" the box as it sits on the axle. For example, the 5.0 it is 6' wide by 5' long, while the 6.0 turns that box and adds 6" to the length - making it 5' wide behind the tow vehicle for better aerodynamics and fuel economy. It also makes it easier for small cars to see around the camper with their stock mirrors when towing."

Quicksilver 6.0 tent camper - exterior open

"With the 6.0 "turned" sideways, you now have a 5' vehicle pulling a 5' wide trailer - which is much easier on the gas mileage and much easier to see around, providing additional safety as you tow. We have also given the 6.0 our aerodynamic, tear-drop front end like our other trailers, as well as lengthened the unit by 6", which makes the bunk 6" longer (now 6'-6") by 60" wide, adding some nice extra sleeping space for our campers. The extra 6" of interior spaciousness really helps as well. Another added feature is a permanent fold-out step. Finally, the fact that you can open up the 6.0 QUICKSILVER and set it up while it is still attached to the tow vehicle adds a new dimension of flexibility. This will come in handy on nights when you just want to pull over and get catch some quick ZZZs, and don't want to have to unhook the camper from your vehicle."

Maine GuyBought a QS 8.0 ft in 2008. Pull with a very full CRV 4 cyl with no problems. Happy with all aspects of the QS except for zippers in tent portion. We are easy on our equipment and ateast 3 zippers have broke over several camping seasons. Live the camper but QS should invest in high quality zippers. I would have been ok to pay several more hundred dollars to get good quality zippers. Too bad QS didnt spec better quality in this area.
James Grooms They look nice, Just can't find a dealer that actually stocks them within 200 miles, and they are 2000.00 above suggested retail price and that is overpriced
DixieHas anyone pulled the CL13BHB Camplite with a Hyundai Santa Fe? I want to be able to pull it in the mountains out west. Looks like the perfect set up, but I'm not sure of the combination? In put would be helpful. Thanks.
SolafaHi I want to know your prices And do you ship to Kuwait Thanks
chuckActually in response to the writer from Vermont,Sometimes pop ups are what you end up with after the RV. We recently sold our 27 foot rv, "the Global Warmer" with its' never ending upkeep, repairs, leaks and the disolving wood floors and walls, and storage rent. That thing would break just sitting there. And it's not just old rvs, the shops are filled with newer rvs getting repaired as well. We bought a 6.1 offroad camper. we can tow it with a 4 cyl wrangler and a Suzuki SX4. Cold floors can be fixed by throw rugs on foam shop mats from auto shops....main thing is, aluminum does not rot! We love this thing for 3 season camping.
Kelly SWe've had our 8.0 for 3 years now in VT and traveled through New England. We're looking down the road to a small RV (aren't popups just gateway RVs?) This has served us well; we got it because we have cars, I've towed this successfully with a Subie station wagon a Passat station wagon and eventually a Honda minivan. Mileage on the subie went from 29 to 26 (depending on my highway speed, you can forget it's there). The minivan was easier for me to tow with because I could see over the top, it fills the rear window on the cars. We've had one zipper at the top of the door unzip 1/2" and lost two snaps, the snaps were from people "helping" us take it down and just pulling on the vinyl. It's still completely usable and not a big deal. We've never had it leak, it does setup quickly, is easy to move by hand, doesn't let mosquitos in and we've had no problems with it. I do put a feather bed down over the mattress, you can get chilled through the mattress if it's cold out. The floor can also feel cold with no socks/shoes. I also installed a 12V marine inline pump, so when you call for water it pumps for you with the 12volt battery (very sweet upgrade, I suggest you do this if you have one it was $40 on amazon). Every bluegrass festival we go to I feel like some sort of magician; I can set it up myself easily and it always gets people gathered around to see what it is I have with me. I do recommend this; it's a sweet little camper; we're just going to go a little more self contained. If I decide to advertise publicly I can post more info and contact.

ShariI'm trying to find a dealer that sells various vrv's and camplite trailers so I can see them all and decide which would suite my camping needs best. WHERE is the best place to view??
LeeI don't have toys but have been looking for a small RV. I'm considering this due to the living space and I sure like the "wash out with a hose" feature. I am not a camp in one place for a week person. This looks like I could do a road trip very easily.
IODAN5-22-11 I have towed the 13CLBH with a wet bath with a 2006 jeep wrangler sport w/6sp trans for over 2500 miles so far this year and have spent over 30 nights. It is a dream best trailer out there hands down.Super simple all alluminum no rust no rot EVER!!Built to last forever. The more time I spend in it the better I like it.Check them out see pics on there FB page.

Best prices in the country. We would love to earn your business. ProsserRV.com 866-820-7243 - delivery available for 55 cents per one-way mile. A Livin Lite dealer since 2006 - 3/17/2011
dstephen- consult a towing wt. calculator- it will need numbers like gvwr, hitch rating, etc. do not forget to calculate in frontage area- the amount of the trailer above the tow vehicle. my grand caravan is rated to pull 3600lbs so says the factory.... the calculations put a safer tow at 2000lbs. even at around the 2000lb mark... hills are not fun.
Terry We purchased a previously owned Quicksilver 10 last year in 2010. Though a few years old, it was immaculate because truly (except the canvas), the interior is nearly indestructable. Interior is definitely function over style. Wife thought the transition from past traditional pop ups would be difficult. Not at all; loves the no-nonsense, sporty, and sanitary look, feel, and use of the Quicksilver. It's a better fit for us; we camp to be active in nature, not constant housekeeping. Lysol wipes & job's complete. Set up is so fast (like videos you might find), it is funny watching nearby people take it all in. We were concerned about the canvas as part of the door; seemed awkward since canvas portion doesn't set on a frame. Guess what? We found that we PREFER it now! No door slamming, fewer insects enter, can roll it up for breeze; it's great. The first time out, we were caught in two thunderstorms 8 days apart, with our two children and boxer. Stayed dry! Wiped it down before breaking camp both time & moving on. Moisture not a problem. Quick wipe down of what drops were remaining, and aired out quickly. The canvas and poly top and cushions are made by a marine materials manufacturer. We pull our Quicksilver with a 2005 Dodge Caravan --does NOT noticeably decrease our MPG and we haul everything, including the kitchen sink. Cannot tell you're pulling it. We were leary about it being metal, and getting too hot. I don't know if it's because it's hallow aluminum or what someone else might explain scientifically? But it stays cool in the heat (perhaps due to evening temperatures?) We've camped in 100 degree weather and were comfortable. We aren't pansies, though do have small box fan and the airconditioner for kids/dog naptimes. This is not a plug, we just feel obligation to share: though we purchased used, we initially had much contact with the folks at LivinLite and have recommended them several times. When our children are out of the house, without question we'll upgrade to LivinLite's 16 foot travel camper. Excellent, smart products. Thanks for reading. Hope this helps you. Be blessed - 2/16/2011
Camping GalMy husband and I looked at one and are concerned about the snaps. Has anyone had a problem with the breaking or tearing the canvas...seems like this could lead to some major problems if they break.
KCThe Mini Cooper in the pictures and flyers is towing the 11 model which does not have a bathroom and it only weighs 1200lbs.
Findlay RV ( Las Vegas , NV )We just started stocking the 2011 line of Quicksiler pop ups , Camp-lite trave trailers and The VRV toy haulers ! We are getting alot of excitement about them...The best part is...WE STOCK THEM ! Touch & feel them in person next time in Las Vegas. They are awesome ! Great for guys with Jeeps too with 2,200 tow capacity ! Email me @ RVforU2@yahoo.com for pics and info... Greg Pilcher - Findlay RV , Las Vegas , NV
Stephen DI am looking to buy a Camplite 13BHB and was wondering if the tip out bunk is agood option? Also, someone earlier was commenting about aluminium getting cold & hot as it conducts easily versus wood...Also is this really capable of being towed by a honda odyssey with a trnny cooler & power steering cooler added
Gary CoombesIf this is only 950 lbs it's amazing. My Lance is at least 2000 lbs dry weight. This looks good too.
d.just purchased the 2010 12bh- tracks very well behind the minivan w/ factory installed tow package. less bounce and sway than my previous pop up. a harder pull at interstate speed, better on county roads at 55-60mph. gas mileage take a hit of course.
sunnyokanaganAt 1500 pounds and with a high profile like that, there is no way a mini could tow that as shown in the photos!
BonnieFor Sale: Brand New/Never Used Livin' Lite Quick Silver Truck Camper. We purchased it a couple years ago and thought our kids might like to camp in that while we stayed in our motor home. Didn't happen, so have decided to sell. If interested, please e-mail me: bpharo@vacuumplaters.com Would like to work something out.... Thanks!
Ron Kent Hooper AttorneyI would like to know how much of the truck bed is available for storage, i.e ice chests, guns, food, sleeping bags ets. Its hard to tell how much room is taken up when the unit is folded. Does it protrude below the top of the bed when folded. It would appear that it could also be put on a log bed truck behind a large metal tool chest found at home depot and many stores. However, what can be done to prevent water and dirt from coming in the bed if located behind a tool chest on a long bed truck.
Brian & Jill BushbeckWe love our 10.0 easy to pull and to set up, very roomy and comfy. We are waiting for a screened awning for our model. lets go guys it's about time for camping and skeeters.
Bill and JanWe have been waiting for years for this trailer! We stumbled on it at a boat and camping show in Wichita this weekend and the bought the CL12BH that Trailer & More (Wichita, KS) had there. We almost bought a pop-up 10 years ago and a hybrid 3 years ago and just couldn't bring ourselves to complete the transactions. We didn't want to buy a tow vehicle...wanted to use our Rendezvous. Didn't want to deal with mildew on the canvas and rotting floors. We will let everyone know how it camps in a few weeks. The only modification we plan on doing is putting in new memory foam mattresses in the bunks. We have also decided that we can move the whole dinette set outside and put a queen air mattress on the floor if we have our kids with us.
TerryThe quicksilver 2.0 looks like the one I want. No dealers stock any and without looking at one in real life I refuse to buy one. Hope some daywe get a few dealers who really has one and not sale only by order
JonI'm interested in buying a Quicksilver but no RV lots that sell Quicksilver 6.0 tent trailers. If someone in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, please contact me at 817-938-1002.
CPOSTEDWE SHOPPED FOR OVER A YEAR AND LOOKED AT THEM ALL. THAN A LOCAL DEALER DECIDED TO SELL QUICK SILVER CAMPERS. ONE LOOK AND WE WERE SOLD. WE HAVE A CL12BH ON ORDER. HOPEFULLY IT WILL BE DELIVERED IN APRIL. HELLO ADKS HERE WE COME!
brianI am having same problem, Too big Too heavy, Too expensive. Would love to see of a v-nose 6x12, with small ramp with lite weight plastic raising/lowering roof for travel.
looking for something smallThis trailer is pretty cool, but if they would just put a small barn door on the back so I can slip my dirt bike into it, then that would be really cool! So many manufacturers miss that part. They don't need a heavy ramp, just something directly in the back so people can slip long things in like folding boats, bikes, etc.
PoindexterGood Lord, where has this trailer been? I've looked at the Scamp and others, but I think this one might just be the one for us.
Stephen DI have been searching for an ultralit trailer and believe I finally have found one! The 2010 Camplite 12RD or 15BH is something I would be interested in for the right price! Pls contact me at dcostas7@telus.net or if Scott Tuttle sees this then please call me at 778-882-0770. It would be perfect to tow with my 2006 Honda Odyssey!!
HerschelThis is exactly what I am lookin for!
Julienefrom the picture it looks like all aluminum. I'm chemically sensitive and am looking for a small trailer that doesn't offgas formaldehyde or plastic odors. Does the composite adhesive do that?
Ron GI'd like to see one, looks good
SFguyWe have been toying with the idea of getting a very basic camp trailer that would double essentially as a toy hauler. In our case small sailboats 14ft and under in length. The new VRV idea is brilliant! Warm/Dry living space and a light weight hauler. Something we could tow with the Subaru Wagon etc. Only I can't find any prices.
GrahamReally like this. It's simple and looks as if it would last forever. Gonna check it out. Thanks
StefanSlick looking frame and build quality. Im stoked to see this one at a dealer so I can buy it. When is the exact release date?
LindseyI spent months looking for a camper that could be towed by my SUV with a 1500 max GVWR. The Quicksilver was the most robust option and suprisingly, also the most cost effective. We went to Elk River RV in MN to purchase the 10.0 model camper and the people there were great to work with. We can't wait to start camping in it. We set it up and took it down in well under 30 minutes, very easy to do. Hooray for good ideas, thank you Quicksilver!
BobRented the 8.0 Quicksilver for a weekend outing w/ friends. We have a permanent site w/ 32' Travel trailer now and previously have owned a pop up used for 11 years. This was a good trailer for the weekend. Only suggestion is to have the door zipper go across the top so it opens completely as a regular door. I am 6'3" 250 lbs and found it difficult to get in and out especially while carrying anything. Other than that pretty good experience. We were visited by almost everyone in the group to look at it. Set up and tear down very simple and quick.
Wanna RVThe camper/cargo trailer is one unique RV! We're looking for an RV for our family and this is what we're looking for. Lightweight, so we don't need to upgrade our Ford Escape tow vehicle. Aluminum so it won't rust or rot (I hate that!). No formaldehyde off gassing from cheap chipboard construction. I love it!
Herb Billingham I've had 2 trailers and they both had problems with plywood. Would much prefer all aluminum even if it is heavier. But aluminum is light in any case.
RossboI'm thinking Heather has an interest in Timeout trailers. I had one and the plywood rotted. My brother had a Fleetwood trailer with a rotting plywood floor. Fleetwood just claimed the warranty was finished. No plywood is the way to go.
HeatherSo you based it off a Timeout camper. They have no problems with those with the plywood. And yours is 100 lbs heavier? See no reason why this is better.
