| Re: Damon Challenger class A motorhome | Bob | I purchased a new 2009 Damon Challenger. The customer service from Thor/Damon cannot be beat. They are the best. However my coach must have been built on the day after the annual Christmas party because it is in the shop more than it is used for poor workmanship. |
| Re: Damon Outlaw class A toy hauler | MAXwell Racing Group | This coach is fantastic, Damon was the first toy hauler and has done it right... I really want an Outlaw for my ATV addiction. Two of my buddies at the dunes have the Scorpions and it is sweet, I'm looking for some where that rents these! Can anyone help, I MUST have one. |
| Re: Damon Challenger class A motorhome | Maxwell Krob | Yes, I've also found the Damon coaches to be much cheaper, but now I own an Astoria and wish I has saved the cash on my first two coaches. I think they just stay focused on make it a value. |
| Re: Damon Astoria class A motorhome | Maxwell Krob | After owning a Fleetwood diesel my wife really wanted a better floor plan and more space. We looked around and she loved the Astoria by Damon, I was unsure, it was cheaper then what we had looked at in the past. But a year later I agree, it has been a great experience. And as an engineer I know the quality is there. Also the dealership was very helpful from start to finish. |
| Re: Damon Avanti Class-A Motorhome | Eckhard Zeppmeisel | Dear sir,
i'm very interested, maybe do you have dealers in Austria or germany too.

| Re: Damon Astoria class A motorhome | kitty | We have a 2007 Pacific Addtion Astoria brought NEW. We have had nothing but trouble with this coach. Every few weeks something else goes wrong and or breaks that shouldn't. We are retired folks and this is our home. We are having to spend money with thought we could use to travel. I feel this Coach is a lemon and should never have passed inspection but some how it did and we are stuck with it. Damon's home office just said sorry not their problem. So becareful in buying Damon Products. |
| Re: Damon Challenger class A motorhome | jaseess | The motor home on the wheel with all the comforts and facilities, which is really a great experience.
|
| Re: Damon Tuscany luxury motorcoach | Ken C | My wife and I purchased an 09 model 4072 and we love it. Great ride back to KY from the NE last month. Looking fwd to our winter trip to CA. Tuscany is a great coach! |
| Re: Damon Avanti Class-A Motorhome | Grandguy | never owned but like the coach chasi and engine. Interior design needs more options before it's my 1st choice. |
| Re: Damon Astoria class A motorhome | John Pickles | I am desparately looking for a 'green' vehicle. preferably with LNG power. Is it available. I can purchase an LNG 12 year old in NZ but would prefer to be more up-to-date model. I plan to drive it home to the UK, via. Australia, Asia. I currently live in Singapore. What an advert for Damon! |
| Re: Damon Avanti Class-A Motorhome | Ron Carter | Don't believe what salesmen tell you, the Avanti is certainly no more noisy than any other motorhome in my experience. This is our third and our best. The Avanti is in a class of its own in my opinion. |
| Damon Essence class A diesel motorhome 2010 | RoTi RV reviews | "A luxurious diesel pusher that provides unbelievable extras ... Everything is high end, except for the price tag, a luxury suite on wheels" |
| Re: Damon Essence class A motorhome | Charles Cooper | I saw this at the Louisville RVIA show. Really liked it. Damon are really making nice coaches with fair prices. It didn't say anything about MPG. Same figure I guess - 7 or 8 mpg? |
| Re: Damon Avanti Class-A Motorhome | old traveler | I like what I see, but would like to hear from someone who actually owns one. I had a salesman tell me the engine is noisy. |
| Re: Damon Tuscany luxury motorcoach | Nelson family | we just bought a 2008 tuscany with 3 slides as our first coach!! it is beautiful!! anyone know how it rates to other manufacturers, like a monaco....our monaco salesman told us the damon wasn't as good quality, but we think he was just mad we didn't purchase from him!! any thoughts?... |
| Re: Damon Avanti Class-A Motorhome | Bob | Don't jump to quick to buy a first one of anything, including a brand new never before offered motorhome. Especially one built by Damon. Remember Damon is a low end provider of motorhomes. i.e., you get what you pay for. |
| 2001 Damon Challenger | James | i have a 2001 damon challenger with 41k and runs great for a 454 but what i don't like is i get a lot of air noise while driving and i can not cool the darn thing. we replaced the front windows $$$ helped a little but still can't cool with 15k unit...any suggestions?? |
| Re: Damon Daybreak class A motorhome | Bryan N | Really like the 3270. Looked at one today and it really is good. Seriously thinking about it. Like the simple floorplan it has everything we need. |
| Re: Damon Tuscany luxury motorcoach | PrairieDog | I love the floor plan of the 4076. I
like everything about it but the roof. It needs a one piece fiberglass
roof. I would also like to see the generator on a roll out slide up front. |
| Re: RV quality concerns | Darrell | Damon Owners...beware! We have a 1991 Challanger that we are having to "dump" because of water leaks and delamination. I originally contacted Damon about delamination in the right front corner and was told by the Quality Control Rep. that he knew exactly where the delamination was happening and he was right about the location. He told me it was because I hadn't maintained the window seals. When I asked about the seals he said it was in my owners manual, I told him I never received one and he promised to send one which he never did. His attitude was pure "smartass" I wouldn't reccomend Damon to anyone. Their service is non-existant. |
| Re: Damon Astoria class A motorhome | Drew | I can't comment on Damon quality, but the basement compartments are unusable with the slides out; I'd never get a floorplan with a split bath- leaving the shower in the hallway...bummer using it on a cold morning when you've got to heat the whole mh so you don't freeze. And what about being in a public viewing area? |

| Re: Damon Outlaw class A toy hauler | princess-bluey | My son says air lockers are better than limited slip diff.
Off on a tangent here, Flotex carpet is a hybrid between vinyl floor covering & carpet. It is mop-able carpet & feels like velour underfoot! It is used extensively in Australia in shopping centres & hospital wards etc... I believe it would make a valuable addition to any RV! |
| Re: Damon Outlaw class A toy hauler | princess-bluey | I like the new 3808, it's a good start! I'd like to see a standard King size bed, with plenty of room to walk around, plus a hard sided pop top over the loft bedroom for those of us with claustrophobia. I like the scorpian upgrade package. I'd also like to see more ground clearance & limited slip diff for the more hard to reach camping places, (like the Finke Desert Race!). Does it come in right hand drive for potential Aussie customers? |
| Damon Daybreak class A motorhome 2009 | RoTi RV Reviews | "Surprisingly affordable - offering outstanding features in a compact size. Aerodynamic, fiberglass front and rear caps give a sleek, contemporary look. Storage is everything and it has plenty..." |
| Re: Damon Challenger class A motorhome | Charley | While the Challenger may say they are a high end unit, ya gotta dig a little deeper to see what they really have and don't have. If what they have is what you want, great! If not, look at Winnebago or Monaco products. |
| Re: Damon Avanti Class-A Motorhome | KP | I have heard that they are noisy and sluggish due to the front mounted motor. Our test drive seemed that way as well Anyone have any experience |
| Re: Damon Avanti Class-A Motorhome | RV.'er guy | Actual test fuel mileage was approx 14.3 mpg @ 55 MPH |
| Re: Damon Outlaw class A toy hauler | Jimmy K | We have a 2008 Damon Outlaw on a workhorse chassis and carry a Smart car. The loft bed arrangement is nice but I think I would also go for the optional garage bed lift if I was buying now. We've had very few problems. the ramp needed an early fix but no big deal and we had a few minor items on our first take back to the dealer. All fixed ok. Good deal. |

| Re: Damon Avanti Class-A Motorhome | Mark | Never considered a Class A; my wife hates the idea - until she walked into the Damon Avanti. She's absolutely bonkers over it. We're seriously considering... |
| Re: Damon Avanti class A motorhome | Don | I love the Avanti. I had a Country Coach and told them several years ago they should make an upscale smaller coach. They didn't listen. |
| Re: RV quality concern issues | Peter P | As a person of interest with regards buying his first RV the RoTi reviews are really interesting. I have narrowed my search to three manufacturing companies Tiffin Allegro Bus, Monaco Knight and Thor Damon units. I can't understand why the Damon range appear so cheap in comparison to the other two companies. I am looking for any feedback on this subject. Is quality the major issue here? |
| Damon Astoria class A motorhome | Barb | Really like this coach. As I'm writing this there's an Astoria parked next to us at a campground in CA. Really nice looking and the folks are real pleased. Wish we could afford to upgrade from our Southwind. Think it's good value. |
| Re: Damon Avanti Class-A Motorhome | Debra | I love this motorhome layout. I saw it in Pennsylvania and have been trying to convince my husband that this is for us. He likes it too but says we have to wait until we retire. That'll be at least ten years but maybe I can work him round. |
| Re: Damon Avanti Class-A Motorhome | Ken Hull | I'd like to see some actual fuel figures and test results. 70% improvement in fuel consumption seems difficult to believe. |
| Damon Avanti class A motorhome 2009 | RoTi RV Reviews | The initial Avanti model "up to 70 percent better fuel economy than comparable Class A motorhomes" |
| Re: 2008 Damon Tuscany | Lou M | Since my last post we did run into a few problems with our '08 4055 unit. The original entertainment centers produced by Soundstream have a design flaw - high squeel when you run the fade from rear to front or mess with the balance. This may affect all units. They eventually replaced ours with the upgrade Jensen ASA model after 3 of the originals. New unit works great. Also, the bedroom AM/FM/CD unit will not receive AM without a loop antenna inside the coach. Complain & they will supply. |
| 2008 Damon Tuscany | speedy gonzales | i just recently purchased the 2008 damon tuscany model 4076, and i love the ride, the 360 hp diesel motor gives you plenty of power, i love the floorplan, but they need to balance the tires for a smoother ride. |
| Re: Damon Outlaw class A toy hauler | jonjo | I think Damon just keep getting better. By the way, I think the Outlaw is real nice. I looked at one today and just loved the loft bedroom arrangement. We have a toy hauler trailer but I'd love to trade it in for a Damon. |
| 2008 Damon Tuscany | Ellen H | I love the front kitchen and middle living area, esp when cooking outside and needing items from the kitchen and then there are grandchildren too in and out of fridgE... like the windows too, but would LOVE to have a KING size bed.. this is the ONLY drawback... let me know when this happens. Ellen H |
| DAMON TUSCANY | JIM | I AM LOOKING INTO BUYING A TUSCANY 2009 4072 DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY COMMENTS ABOUT THE DAMON TUSCANY |
| 2008 Damon Tuscany 4055 | Lou M | Recommend Damon. We've had our Damon Tuscany 4055 for a month and find it fantastic! 2nd pusher we've owned & definitely the best! Great layout too. Damon customer service seems good to this point. |
| 2004 Damon Challenger | Brent Thompson | Have a 2004 challenger. Best motorhome I ever had. Very dependable. Problems with some electrical aspects during the warranty period but the warranty covered it all. Would recommend Damon. |
| Re: 2008 Damon Tuscany | Ken P | Ken P I test drove a 08 Tuscany and was very impressed but I presently have a fifth wheel and an 06 dodge truck that I need to get rid of. But my wife really likes the 4076 with the chairs |
| RE: 2003 Damon Intruder | john | we are considering buying a 2002 damon intruder, low mileage, very good shape, have you heard any other reports of problems that you experienced. |
| 2008 Damon Daybreak 3274 | Larry G | We have logged 10,000 miles on this 2008 35' Ford V10 powered Motorhome towing a 24' enclosed car trailer with no problems. We did re-enforce the rear frame for the hitch. The cruise control quit, but it was only a loose connection. It's a very adequate entry level RV. We get about 7 miles per gallon with the trailer hooked and average 65 mph. The interior is again very adequate. We like the layout and the wardrobe with lots of storage. The driver's seat is comfortable even after a 12 hour day. There's not anything negative that I can say when you take the price into consideration. So far it's been an excellent motorhome for the money. We purchased at Holman's in Batavia Ohio and would purchase from them again. Their service department is very good and accomodating. Any warranty issues were addressed immediately. The cruise control was a Ford issue. Based upon your experiences, would you buy one of this manufacturer's RVs again?: Yes. Rating: 5/5. |
| 2007 Damon Tuscany | Paul | I own a 5 slide 4055 2007 Damon Tuscany and I got to tell you it is beautiful and rides great. They truly steal all the looks with the full body paint and styling. |
