| Re: Coachmen Prism class C motorhome | Tori | you all are all complaining about the price but have you really looked at what they are selling for? mid 60's! for the used units I have looked at by the time you buy it, repair and repair it, much less pay for gas at 6 to 8 mpg you would have been better off with the compact units! |
| Re: Coachmen Adrenaline Blast toy hauler | Cheryl & Ken | The problem we have is with the rear ramp door bubbling and pitting - clearly it is defective. Has anyone had these problems with theirs? The manufacturer is giving us a hard time with replacing it! Other than that we absolutely love it! |

| Re: Coachmen Capri Micro | Nancy | I have a 2007 Capri Micro 159 and it has been a very good trailer. i need to sell it so can get a larger unit.

| Re: Coachmen Concord class C motorhome | George | Be careful what you wish for! (See my former comments.) I finally bought the 3-slide Concord I wanted. Had it for one weekend - leaks from both front corners, gas line to stove was pinched in the slide due to crude design (a potentially dangerous flaw), and I could barely walk between the two front slides when closed. The coach was obviously rear-heavy, as well. Felt like the front wheels barely touched down. And that squeaking overhead cabinet! What was I thinking??? Now I have a Phoenix Cruiser 2950 - excellent quality and no problems. Drives like a Cadillac. |
| Re: Coachmen Spirit of America travel trailer | Chuck | I would have to say that the 2009 coachmen spirit of america that i purchased the end of April in 2008 has been nothing but a host of problems.
This is not my first trailer. I had a 2007 capri that had minor problems all covered under warranty. But when we decided to upgrade we got a lemon.
We used the 2009 twice in 2008 closed it up for the season. Opened it inmid June due to a very cold and rainy new england spring and found that when I had closed the slide out it had pealed the linoleum of the floor, I had also had the master bed come apart at the point where the piston held the bed up. I took it to my local dealer for repairs and was told that Coachmen had a 1 year warranty and all repairs were on me. The cost in excess of $3000.
Poor workmanship should not fall on the consumer.
We were able to take the trailer out 2 weeks later and upon hooking up to fresh water found that my water lines had burst under the sink and now I have no recourse but to try to warn others away from Coachmen who have no concern other than to get your money and leave any warranty issues to you.
Coincidentally Coachmen no longer warranties 2009 trailers they have sold the division to Four winds trailers who have no interest in paying for any prior defects in a Coachmen product.
So I am now stuck with a brand new trailer that a spent about $29,000and can't use.
Do your homework carefully before buying this product.
I hope others have better luck than me.

| Re: Coachmen Prism class C motorhome | Caroline | We've been looking for the right class C for a long time and I think we've found it. Looks beautiful. Really like the 240 plan. I guess the lounge and table are like a dinette. I gotta see it. Thanks. |
| Re: Coachmen Spirit of America travel trailer | Chris | do not buy coachmen!!! bought mine in april. 15 weeks later still no trailer. dealer is unable to fix slide-out,yet they can't give me my money back. have to go through coachmen directly who will not call me back |
| Re: Coachmen Freelander class C motorhome | Steve | This is the second rv we have owned. We grew out of the first one. I bought this 2007 rv from a local dealer and we have had nothing but problems. Slide motor went out, bolts that hold the slide in broke off, shower exploded into pieces, the holding tanks don't read proper levels, converter shorted out due to exposed wires and water leaks from the bottom of the shower and toilet. If you want something that will be in the shop more than you use it, buy a Coachmen product. Also, Coachmen was more than willing to stand by their one year warranty, one week after the warranty they refused to fix any of these problems. Great company! |
| Re: Coachmen M-Series small travel trailer | Retro Ray | I have trouble accepting a "lite" trailer that has a slide. Slides add a lot of weight! |

| Re: Coachmen Adrenaline Blast Toy Hauler | Bike couple in Alabama | We bought the 170 Blast and couldn't be happier. Just some minor additions and it makes a great little camper for the money.. sure beats sleeping in a tent. |
| Re:Coachmen quality improvements | Eddie | I have a question - not sure if I'm in the right spot - I recently bought a 2 year old Clipper 128 st Sport. It seems when it rains, water goes into the channels at the bottom of the side walls and drains away - for the most part. However, it seems to collect under the panel access for the fridge, and storage compartment.
As a result, it has seeped onto the floor causing some minor, but noticable water damage. (If you look for it, which I always do!) I took it to a local Coachmen dealer and they said it would work best to check to make sure there is no debris at the bottom of the drain holes in the channel - they suggested I use a garden hose to do so - I did this and some water came into the camper. I did manage to clear out some debris. They also suggested that drilling additional drain holes would help as well (which I did). Now the problem seems to be worse. My question is - why are these channels even there? To me the logical thing is to silicone them so that water doesn't get in in the first place. The tech at the dealer said people who have sealed them usually have to have it re-done; to me that's better than having water directed to the bottom of the walls. Does anyone have any insight or ideas? My instinct is to seal the channels, but don't want to do so until someone with more experience can shed some light on this. That has to be the most bizarre design I have ever seen! |
| Re: Coachmen M-Series small travel trailer | Capri lover | The version with the slide-out is perfect. I think this is the best little trailer I've seen and I've been looking for over a year. |
| Re: Coachmen Capri Micro | Bluegrasser | I have owned a Capri 179 model for two years. This is perfect for the weekender may be a week. Has all the comforts of a larger more expensive trailer. Outside stereo, gas grill connection, shower (sand, mud, etc)and sets up in 15 minutes or less. Whether hook ups or not I'm there. It pulls very well; no fish tail noted and at 75 mph. Has all the ammenities needed inside. Now I wished I had the toy hauler... |
| Re: Coachmen Capri Micro | Darthvagrant | I own a Coachmen "Capri" motorhome. It could only be a vastly superior coach if built by the Chinese. Gotta' give Coachmen credit, however. They were REAL close with the name. Drop the "i" and rearrange things and you have "Crap". |
| Re:Coachmen quality improvements | TL | We've owned a 2005 Coachmen Capri travel trailer since late in the model year. The refrigerator has always been problematic (getting it to start cooling and continue cooling without error messages) since we bought it. The latest issue is with water damage to the sub-flooring caused by a hole in the underside near a wheel well (poor Coachmen build quality again). Now there is a bow in the flooring near the bathroom/kitchen area. This promises to be an expensive fix. Would not buy a Coachmen again. |

| 2008 Coachmen Spirit of America | Rod Beatty | We've had 2 Coachmen travel trailers and have been happy with both. We now have a 2008 Spirit of America Since new we've spent more than 50 nights in it and have towed it more than 4000 miles. We have a Hensley hitch and love it, no problems. We've had a few problems as you get with any RV of course but nothing major and they've all been sorted under warranty. Good company. |
| Re: Coachmen Prism class C motorhome | vick | i love it. it's like a nice modern apartment. a step up from the freelander. i'm looking at a sprinter or freightliner class c as my first rv and this is the one i would buy if i won the lottery today !! p.s. great website |
| Re: Aliner Amelia small travel trailer | Roman | We've been looking at the Coachmen M and the R Pod but the Amelia looks like another alternative, like to read peoples opinions. Like the TADA too. |
| 2009 Coachmen M-Series small travel trailer | Kamping Girl | We bought the slide out version and LOVE it. Great quality and good use of space. The bed was pretty bad (aren't they all?) so we bought a foam memory topper and now it's great! |

| Re: Coachmen Shasta Airflyte travel trailer | Sheila | I saw this this New Shasta Airflyte at a RV show recently. I'm very partial to small trailers. This was the most stunning trailer there, hands down. The interior is simply beautiful with the woodwork and craftsmanship. The floor is beautiful and very retro. The size is great. With Coachmen selling, I wonder if this is the only year we will see this trailer built? |
| Re: RV waste disposal - gravity or pump | paulny | I am a full timer with a 2007 Coachmen 35 footer class A. One of the reasons I liked them is because of their no mess gravity system where the hose is stored in a swivel pipe (they can still make a few improvments on). I also use a macerator pump when I visit friends homes. Its great!! I pump the waste into the homes air vent where the house plumbing system exits to the sewer. Never had a problem, just takes about an hour :( thats the only down side, that and cleaning and putting all the hoses and pump away. But it is better then having to leave and drive around looking for a place to dump!! |
| Coachmen Freelander | JT | Look at the new Coachmen Freelander on the Sprinter Chassis, it's in the 60s and yes they do get great fuel mileage |
| Re: Coachmen Capri Micro | Dan | If you go to the Coachmen RV site, they don't even have a link for the Capri Micro model. What is up with that?? |
| Re:Coachmen quality improvements | Greg | I'm seriously considering buying a 2009 Spirit of America (Alumicage version)trailer. Is Coachmen quality good? |
| 2004 Coachmen Concord 235S | Renee | We bought a used 2004 Concord 235S n 2005. It's a perfect size for two adults (sometimes with 2 grandkids). It drives like an SUV and has plenty of power going up hills. We've driven it places you wouldn't think of taking a big rig. We looked at a lot of B+ RV's before we decided on this unit and we love it! |
| Re: Coachmen Shasta travel trailer | Scott Allen | I restored a '62 Airflyte several years ago and we camped all over Southwest Washington in it. I'd buy this new trailer but no propane...I don't see the point in spending $20k when you have to stay in a parking lot next to a plug. |
| Re: Coachmen Shasta travel trailer | rich in Va | I have a 1966 Shasta 13 ft---I am rebuilding the interior---it's a no frills unit--no bathroom-no furnace -no water heater--just stove and a little water no grey tank---i will add that.
rich.

| Re: Coachmen Shasta travel trailer | Paul Rosman | I'm thinking about buying a shasta, looks good. I like the old style look of it but love the modern interior. Great job coachmen. |
| Re: Coachmen Prism class C motorhome | David | Something this size would be perfect for one person; but, way too fancy and expensive to consider. A simple plan on this chassis would be perfect; at half the price. |
| Re: Coachmen Prism class C motorhome | paulny | Hmmm,,,, They claim 17 to 19mpg, that means in the real world it might get 11 to 14mpg. To much ART-DECO!! If I am going to spend over 100K for a motorhome I want some walking around room inside and a bed with room for two adults. Good-Luck Coachmen!! I will be looking for the next year end meeting minutes to see how this flies, esspecially your QC report on the Prism. |

| Re: Coachmen Shasta travel trailer | Pam K | We've had our 2005 Shasta since new and have not had any problems. We find there's plenty of room and there's even plenty of storage room. I wouldn't want to spend long long periods in it but it's perfect for weekends. We pull it with our Ford Excursion with no problems. |

| 2007 Coachmen Concord 300TS | Tom | I have had my 2007 Concord 300TS for two years. With the exception of some minor plumbing problems initially the coach has been trouble free. It is roomy, comfortable and has plenty of power. I tow a 2003 Buick Century and have had no problems. The ride is comfortable and I am very pleased with the quality of the unit. I agree with two previou comments. 1. The bathroom could be a little larger it is pretty tight. (Minor inconvenience) 2. Leveling jacks would be a real plus. |

| 2008 Coachmen Blast toy hauler | Mike | I took delivery of a 2008 model 210 MPH Blast the last week of December 07. My wife does craft shows and we use it to haul product and sleep. Most of the time we dry camp and have used it successfully in cold weather with a few modifications. (PA, MD, De) I opted not to take the ONAN generator offered in some packages, I bought a Honda EV3000 that runs everything just fine and is much quieter. The gray water tank is a little small but I pump the gray into the black when I need extra capacity. My dealer quickly addressed minor workmanship issues. I couldn’t be more pleased with this purchase. Coachmen toy haulers are excellent value. |
| 2004 Coachmen Concord 235 | Update from George | We've had our 2004 Concord 235 for about a year and have had very few problems with it. The construction appears to be very good and it is a pleasure to drive compared to the bus type Dolphin. Compared to other Coachmen products, this seems to be an unusually well-built rig. Wish I had the 300 with three slides, but maybe later. Would recommend. |
| Coachmen Clipper Sport camping trailer | Georgina | We have the 106 model and love it. We use it most weekends during the summer, we have 2 kids and 2 dogs and they are all raring to go every Friday evening. We have the furnace and refrig which are options but you need them and I think they should be standard. Great product. |
