"Airstream's famously sleek aluminum skin design with an interior incorporating unique design, materials and modern classic furnishings"

Important dimensions:
Exterior length 16'7", Exterior width 8', Exterior height with A/C 8'8"
Price - base MSRP $49,737 (7/09 - info to RoTi from Airstream)

Airstream say: "The DWR Airstream travel trailer is a tribute to classic modern design, but it's not only a potential museum piece, it's designed to be part of your life. Hitch up and drive wherever you want to go—the middle of nowhere (Joshua Tree? Canyonlands?), or the middle of Manhattan, where you can now see a vintage Airstream in the Museum of Modern Art. Drive all night, or unhitch and linger: the DWR Airstream is designed for both."

The DWR features Airstream's "famously sleek aluminum skin design and custom pull-out awning."

The interior is special too as you can see from the picture below.  Airstream say "The interior incorporates a new design sensibility, unique materials, and modern classic furnishings — Hellerware indoor/outdoor dinnerware, a Nelson Ball clock, British designer Tom Dixon's coatrack, and luxurious bedding from Matteo."

Gary FI have been building RVs for 38 years and the price fits the whole package. You wish the best - then do not compare the pricing, the best speaks for the best
DerekGreat little trailer- price way out of line with budget for someone looking in this size range.
Dennis JAs beautiful as ever! Still too expensive(read overpriced)for the everyday public to afford too bad as there is no better advertising than word of mouth!
willywonkSo tell me where's the beef. The body and interior is nowhere near $50,000. Try $14k at best.
KenI don't agree about the price. If you want a Ford buy a Ford. If you want a Mercedes don't moan about the price. Airstreams are different and if you can afford one they're worth the money.
Tom Gee Airstream trailers are too expensive even when you consider the quality. Lower the price by 35 percent.
maddawgGreat travel trailer, but have to agree 50K seems a little much.
JanetteThis is the ultimate trailer. Love everything about it especially the clock. But 50K?
MacJust completed a 2800 mile trip with our 16' DWR.The comments about the trailer were incredible. People really love the look and craftmanship.Have not had a single problem and my wife,daughter(7 years old) and I really are enjoying this unit.
TiffanyThis is really cool. Really expensive but in my opinion it's the cream of the small travel trailer market. I think that Airstream hired these San Francisco guys to make an even cooler Bambi.
Kay KThe Airstream Basecamp is the coolest trailer - see the RoTi review - but the r-pod is pretty cool too. Really like the r-pod retro look. But the basecamp is to die for. There is something about Airstream that no one can quite match even though their prices are too high. Also like the Airstream DWR.
Bob MAirstream has always been cute but this is truly beautiful you can see the loving care that's gone into the design.
