The above should read 3 degree temperture change per every 1000 feet of elevation.

Most people don't know that the Sun is the cause of all this weird weather we have had in the form of Global Warming. Take this to the bank..."where it is hot it will get hotter, where it is cold it will get colder and where it is wet it will get wetter". The ancient Maya Indians knew of this Sun Cycle and wrote about it on their temple walls. Don't expect this knowledge to be on the 6 o'clock news as the US Gov't and other powerful interests don't want you to know the truth.

Better start building an Arc as the world wide weather is changing so fast now the Polar Bears are drowning. Stay away from the coasts as the melting ice will make the sea level rise world wide. Want beach front property? Stake your claim up high in COLORADO. CA, OR and WA will be underwater in the near future with only the tips of the high mountains sticking up as islands. The Great American Basin will be full of water. The Jet Stream will come down and hit Mother Earth pretty soon too so you will need to go underground...You can bank on this information. The weather varies of course and the North of Arizona gets a lot of snow. Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon can be very cold in the winter. But further south it's usually very nice. I looked it up and in Phoenix the average daily temperatures are: October 87, November 74, December 66, January 66, February 71, March 74, April 83, May 92. Very little rain too. Southern Arizona is usually beautiful in the fall, winter and spring. Perfect for snowbirds.

We lived in an RV in the northeast for two winters. We'd decided to live fulltime before we left our regular jobs. We had to insulate the water hookup and keep the bays warm enough to prevent freezing the tanks and pipes etc. but we managed. But I guess it was very different for us, we knew we had to take precautions. I guess the snowbirds don't expect it and like that you could get a lot of problems. I hope it warms up for them soon. I've never been to the Quartzsite show yet. Hope to go soon but I hope it's a year when the weather is kind.

I will tell you that I am glad not to be in Quartzsite this year. I have been an exhibitor for several past years and it has been hot sometimes, and cold sometimes but never this cold.
It is disappointing when you go to a place to find respite from the cold and snow and then find that you might have stayed home. The good news snowbirds; is that the warmth and sunshine will be back soon and if you were still in North Dakota or Minnesota, you would have to wait a few months.
