From RV Business, Bob Ashley wrote:
Tiffin Motor Home Inc.’s 28-foot Allegro Breeze, chosen as ”Best of Show” by the RVBusiness staff during the 47th Annual National RV Trade Show, breaks new ground with regard to diesel-pusher length due to its relative short size.
In fact, the Breeze, built on the Red Bay, Ala. manufacturer’s own 21,500-pound GVWR chassis equipped with a 215-hp Navistar MaxxForce 7 V-8 engine, may point to the future direction of motorized RVs.

The article goes on to say:
The Allegro Breeze is a concept vehicle that is expected to get miles-per-gallon in the mid-teens.
RV Business's runners-up were the Roadtrek class B (see Roaming Times' Roadtrek SS-Ideal review) and the Heartland MPG travel trailer (see Roaming Times review.)

| Re: Tiffin Allegro Breeze class A motorhome | Pat C. | Really like the looks of the new Tiffin Breeze. Looks like it has lots of basement storage that I lack. And diesel to boot! I have a 1994 Allegro DA28 which is great. Will have to wait another 15 years to find a used Breeze that I can afford. Maybe I'll win the lottery! |
| Re: Tiffin Allegro Breeze class A motorhome | Kevin 457 | I'm really interested. Don't want to drive a 40er any more. Waiting to see pricing. Great idea. |
| Re: Tiffin Allegro class A motorhome | Casey K | Tiffins just keep getting better, in fact I think they're the best. I have a 2007 Allegro and it's a delight. |
| Re: Tiffin Allegro Bay | Skip | We purchased our 2009 Allegro Bay late last year. We absolutely love it. We traded in our 'ol Winnie in on it and have never been happier. The people at Happy Daze RV took care of us. Top notch customer service for us. I recommend Tiffin over anything else out there. We were looking into a Monaco, but the Allegro Bay grabbed our attention and has not givin us one issue. |
| 2008 Tiffin Allegro Bay class A motorhome | Bob & Pat | Bought an 08 Allegro 34' at recommendation of friends. Unhappy with dealer we purchased from. Leave that one be. But are very happy with response from Bob Tiffin regarding front windshield that had to be replaced twice. So far no problems. All other problems minor & fixed easily. We have been looking at other RV's & keep going back to our Allegro. Just like it best. We are thinking upgrading to a diesel & have been doing a lot of comparing and are convinced that we will stay with Tiffin product of some kind. |
| Re: Tiffin Allegro Bay | Russ | I am the proud owner of a 2007 Alegro Bay Fred. I had a 2005 Alegro that I also bought new (Workhorse) Had no and I mean no problems with this one. I did have some problems with the bay that were corrected at the factory. Met Bob Tiffin at Lazy Days, FL in the year 2000 and I think he is one of the nicest men you will ever meet. He does his best to satisfy his customers. |
| Re: 2008 Tiffin Allegro | Don W. | I have a 2007 Allegro 34 TGA on a workhorse chassis with 6500 miles. It is a great motorhome. |
| Tiffin Allegro motorhomes | daywalker567 | We too have owned 2 Tiffin Allegros. We bought both used. The first was a 1996 with no slides. It had been maintained extremely well and brought us a really good trade in value when we upgraded to a 2005 with 2 slides. Both were 28 feet long. We love camping in our 05 and have had no problems with either of them. Great products from a great manufacturer who stands behind his products. |
| Re: Tiffin Allegro Bay | Rick | I have a 1979 29' Tiffin triple door. I've been looking for a 1982 or 1983 34' triple door. Does any body know of one for sale/trade preferably gas? Thanks. |
| 2007 Tiffin Allegro Bay | Frank T | I purchased my first new Allegro in 1986 & had it for 10 yrs. when someone decided to alter the shape of it. I the got a used brand "X" and kept it for one year then purchased a new 1997 Allegro Bay I had that until I bought my 2007 Allegro Bay. I have been to the factory several time and was treated like royalty, any problems that I had (minor ones) were corrected promptly. The service you get with Tiffin Motor Homes is great whether done at the factory or at the dealers. Great product I wouldn't even think of buying another brand when I buy another motorhome. |
| 2009 Tiffin Allegro Bay | Dr. Wayne Scott | Over the past 4 months I have had the opportunity to test drive 3 Allegro Bay FRED's. All were the 36 or 37 foot version. Noise was very low and 100 times more quiet than my Ford F53 with a V-10. Stability in my opinion is better than any Diesel Pusher that I test drove, and I have driven over 20 different Diesel Pushers from Country Coach, Monaco, Gulfstream, Dutch Star, Newmar, Holiday Rambler, Beaver, and Winnebego. The FRED with all that weight right over the front wheels is as "steady as a rock" in the wind and around 18 wheelers. I found power, speed and torque to be very adequate. Also because of a bad salesman, at a dealership....Mr. Bob Tiffin even had one deivered to my house, for me to test drive. YOU CAN BELIEVE ALL OF THE GOOD THINGS THAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE AT TIFFIN !!!!!! THEY ARE TRUE !!!! And I believe that the Tiffin FRED's are a great product. If it hadn't been for a divorce and my ex-wife stealing $80,000 Dollars out of the bank accounts I would have had a Tiffin by now. |
| Re: 2008 Tiffin Phaeton | M Jeffries | We are actively searching for our first motorhome and find the Phaeton to be the best value. It is very luxurious with all the features we are looking for at up to half the cost of some other brands. It drives like a dream, too. |
| 2008 Tiffin Phaeton | Dusty M | We bought a phaeton in Jan 08. We set out traveling, and it has been a dream come true. We stopped by Red Bay to get a windshield replced. A rock had damaged it. Every one asked did you meet Bob Tiffn. I answer yes. I met his caring professionls. His enormous facilities, toured his plant, and even powered my motor home with his electricity. Yes I met him, without borthering him. HATS OFF to you BOB you designed a good product, sell it at a resonable price. And by way of our visit I found you back it up with goodwill toward your customers.
|
| 1989Tiffin Allegro | John K | We have a 89 allegro, we love it. we intend to visit Bob Tiffin in march and hope to meet him. Never heard a bad comment about Tiffin. |
| 2007 Tiffin Phaeton | C & L | We have a 2007 40 ft Phaeton. We absolutely love it. Tiffin products are QUALITY. It is true they offer the best customer service we have ever seen. We have had a few items that needed to be to be fixed -- they were done without hesitation and done totally professional. |
| 2005 Tiffin Phaeton | J. Kelly | We have a 2005 Tiffin Phaeton that we bought from Lazydays. This is our first diesel motorhome and it's been almost trouble free. Lazydays are easy to work with and I'd recommend them and the MH. Our previous MH was a Fleetwood Pace Arrow. It was OK but I much prefer the Phaeton. |
| RE: Tiffin v Fleetwood mpg | Ed | Look for a programmer to re program the engine. They work!!! |
| 2008 Tiffin Allegro | Joe Mc | We have found that Tiffin Allegro 32ba has exceeded all our expectations. The customer service from Tiffin is without reproach.
Thank GOD for Tiffin. |
| Re: 2008 Tiffin Phaeton | Guy James | We have the 2007 Allegro 32BA with the W20 workhorse chassis with 20700 GVWR. Very very good. I've been told Tiffin are good to deal with, but I've never really had a need to contact them. Their product is excellent. The only minor problems we had were with the shower door and a few minor electrical items taken care of by the dealer. I actually had a chance to drive both the workhorse and ford chassis versions and we chose workhorse, but the Ford seemed just as good. The only thing I would do differently now is I think I would go for the 34TGA model. The Phaeton is something else however. This is what I really would like if I had the money. |
