Central Nebraska RV and Boat Show
The Grand Island Independent
By Mark Coddington - 1/8/2010

Two aspects of life that have been painfully present for Central Nebraskans over the past month or so -- winter and the economic recession -- seemed miles away at the Heartland Events Center on Friday.

At the annual Central Nebraska RV and Boat Show, the wares on display turned visitors' minds to outdoorsy, warm-weather fun such as camping, boating and tailgating.

"With it this cold out there, it sounds like it would be nice to head south for the winter," said Lorry Dinkelman of Grand Island, letting out a laugh.
At the same time, the RVs kept getting bigger and nicer, with models sporting what looked more and more like fully equipped living rooms and kitchens.

Re: Skyline Layton destination trailerRichard GWe have a Weekender 150 ltd and have since 2008. Note, Aljo, Weekender, Nomad, Layton brands are all the same product, just a different front stencil. We love it - for two has everything we wanted in a small trailer. Some minor fixes needed, but all taken care off during the warranty period. Had problems with a local dealer, but Skyline in Mansfield Texas customer service went to bat for us and handled everything to our satisfaction, and found another dealer to our liking. I would buy another skyline just to have Charlie in Skyline's Mansfield Manufacturing site customer service at my back. Design and basic construction are very sound. People that ultimately did warranty repair were independents authorized by Skyline, who have been in the repair business since the 60's. Told us due to the corner wrapping and strapping used in Skylines, they had never seen a skyline product leak due to frame loosening. Said that Skyline and Terry products were the best stick-built manufacturers on the market. In corner wrapping, the aluminum siding is wrapped on edge over the frame, forming a rigid reinforced metal box over the wooden frame. Cross strapping adds diagonal metal bracing across the wooden frame, forming a truss system. They also said the quality of materials used by skyline was better than others. Good wood, etc. The corner wrapping is unique to Skyline, and used in all there stick-built models. Great value, great product, great customer service.

Also I'm attracted to slender to normal weight women. A non-smoker is important. Along with the camping I have two special events to go to this summer. It would be nice to have the company of that special person. All in all I'm hopeing that companion could come to be a permanent soul mate.
