| Re: Roadtrek 190-Popular class B motorhome | Jon | I own a 1994 Roadtrek 190 Popular and I am extreamly pleased with it. My grandfather left it to me when he passed away in 2008. Growing up with my grandparents I was around when they bought our Roadtrek new from the lot.
I do have some issues with the generator as my grandfather could not keep up with the monthly maintenance during his later years. I was in the military overseas and couldn't help maintain it.
The passenger door window goes up when it wants too. Going down, not a problem.
We have had the engine replaced twice, due to bad mechanics but it runs GREAT now.
Now my wife and I enjoy the Roadtrek on the weekends and been camping in it a couple of times.
I highly reccomend the Roadtrek Club especially for new R/T owners. They have awesome ralleys every year. Something that my grandparents and I used to take advantage of.
The left and right rear farrings were damaged when a tow truck driver didn't know what he was doing and cracked both of them. Due to my line of work I was able to fix it and you cant even tell except for the paint.
But once again, Roadtreks are really a way to go. However I am eventually going to get a trailer to tow behind for longer camp stays. But for weekends and what not GREAT RIG! |
| Re: Roadtrek SS-Ideal motorhome | Al C | Yes you are right Gypsie about the twin beds it would be nicer. We were looking also at the Agile but like you said it's nicer to look outside then to look at the gally. I am with you all the way on that. |
| Re: Roadtrek SS-Ideal motorhome | Gypsie in style | I have look at the SS.Ideal. Too bad they don't make twin beds.
As for the SS.Agile they have twin beds BUT the stove and sink is on the wrong side. It's much nicer to have both of them on the side of the awning and still talk with your friends. Looking at my neighbor does not interest me.
So I have to look at Great West or Pleasure Way. |
| Re: Roadtrek 190 class B motorhome | Happy Hiker | We just bought a 190 Popular. Any suggestions about how to maximize the storage space? Never had an rv before so we are looking for ideas and suggestions from the road warriors out there. My husband and I are used to traveling light. Thanks!! |
| Re: Roadtrek 170 class B motorhome | Danielle | I am debating between 170 and 190.
Want something small double bed with the comfort of home. Fuel efficiancy. Only 2 people I have read about pleasure way...any comment about them?. Thank you |
| Re: Roadtrek 170 class B motorhome | Dave R | Purchased 97/170 in 2006 with 112,000 mi 180,000 km now has 132,500 mi212,000 km no major problems. Great to travel in we were rear ended in Montreal and pushed into an 18-wheeler with no personal injuries and the RT survived well .Reccommend one strongly. |
| Re: Roadtrek SS-Ideal motorhome | Mountain Mama | on the Roadtrek SS Ideal, I heard that the back doors open and there is a slide out. Is the slide out made from metal, or is it like a pop out camper out of tent material? Does anyone have one and how do you like it? We are going to retire and buy a class B motorhome and have been looking at the Roadtrek and Leisure Vans Free Flight. Thanks! Mountain Mama |
| Re: Roadtrek 190 class B motorhome | Jan M | I'm a real roadtrekkie. Love them. My father had one and we used it a lot when I was a child. We're spending the winter at our home in Arizona and I'm going to buy the 190 and tour. |
| Re: Roadtrek 190 class B motorhome | Brian | Would love to reach Trekker. I am going to live in my soon to be Road Trek 190, and would love to see how living there was for him. |
| Re: Roadtrek 190-Popular class B motorhome | Howard | I've owned a Roadtrek 190 for 3 years with no problems other than routine maintenance. It's really changed our lives we use it at weekends and never worry about hotels. |
| Re: Roadtrek 190-Popular class B motorhome | Fatty Falcone | My 2003 chevy road trek 190 poplars onan generator with only 500 hrs of use stopped working, the inner windings burn out, it cost me $2048.00 to get it repaired.other wise, no other problems except for the drivers side power window,an $800.00 repair( you have to get the track and motor, it's all one part ) |
| Re: Roadtrek 170 class B motorhome | Linda | We have enjoyed many miles in our 170 2000/2001 Dodge Roadtrek. We've learned to travel lightly and drive smartly. We mostly get 15 mpg and sometimes 16 mpg. Only complaint is the frig doesn't work well when outside temperature is above 80. There are fixes for this problem, but we tend to just slip an ice chest in the frig when it's hot. Love the fact it can be parked in a regular spot. Highly recommend a Roadtrek to adventurers out there who don't think they need to bring their living room with them. |
| Re: Roadtrek 190 class B motorhome | Derek Carnes | We have a 2004 Roadtrek 190 Versatile. We really picked this model because I liked the look of it and we'd read a lot about Roadtreks but it's been really great. Another thing we wanted was to be able to park it in our driveway and not have to have storage as we had with a Fleetwood class A we owned before this. Downsizing suited us. I would say I'm really impressed with the quality of the Roadtrek. We really enjoy it. |
| Re: Roadtrek RS-Adventurous class B motorhome | Rama | We love our Adventurous. Now had it for 2 years and used it a lot. We've even used it for long trips and even though I miss having a big bathroom I would never go back to a class A. |
| Re: Roadtrek 190-Popular class B motorhome | Dave Cortese | Dear Trekker:
I have a 1994 Class B 190. I am looking for an airconditioner that will fit in the space that I have (13 1/8" high and 21" wide. Do you know where I can get a 10,000 BTU a/c to fit this size?
My email is dacortese@bellsouth.net. I would appreciate your help.

| Re: Roadtrek 210 class B motorhome | Jay H | It's been a dream of ours to have a Roadtrek and tour the country. This 210 model looks perfect. We're due to retire in 2011 and if it works out, this is the one for us. |
| Re: Roadtrek 210 class B motorhome | SKipJ | One problem I noticed when we were looking at Roadtreks was the overhead clearance. It may have changed but I was constantly rubbing my head on the roof. I'm just under 6' tall. If one is looking for milage, I guess I'd have to look at a Sprinter based vehicle. To me 14 mpg isn't that great. |
| Re: Roadtrek 210 class B motorhomes | Kath | Really like this. Perfect for my husband and I. We're thinking of downsizing from a class A. Our problem isn't really the size or how many it sleeps, we're only 2 people, but storing it. We're spending too much money keeping our class A in storage. |
| Re: Roadtrek RS-Adventurous class B motorhome | roadwarrior | I drove my Roadtrek sprinter with my son from Baltimore to Alaska and back. We took a side trip and drove north of the Arctic Circle - over 1,000 miles of dirt road, NO PROBLEMS. The vehicle did Great, no mechanical problems (except the microwave handle) - never averaged less then 22 mpg. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone |
| 2008 Roadtrek SS-Agile class B motorhome | Pat and Deb Murphy | Bought our Agile in April of 08. Love the size and mpg, amenities and facilities. Unfortunately we have had a major problem with the rear side windows leaking when it rains. One window was replaced and now Roadtrek is saying the problem maybe faulty weather stripping. We are currently waiting for the weather stripping to fix the other side window. We have been working with Campers Inn and Roadtrek to get this problem resolved but we have been working on this issue since July of 08 and it is now Feb of 09 and the situation is still unresolved. So love the vehicle but watch those windows. |
