Waste Master nozzle and sewer hose

RV manufacturers respond to Roaming Times poll

- RVers want a better waste handling system

Carriage Inc., Millersburg, IN, is paying close attention to an in-depth Roaming Times RV owner survey that shows "dumping holding tanks, ranks highest in customer dissatisfaction with the lifestyle." Carriage has solved this issue by installing the Waste Master System by Phase Four Industries on their entire 2008 product line.

Comments from Carriage Dealers and new customers with the system are glowing. One lady stated, "It's about time somebody cleaned up this mess!"

Phase Four Industries specializes in RV Waste Management and has a broad line of systems to meet the needs of OEMs as well as aftermarket retrofits. The systems all provide the end user with a sanitary and environmentally friendly method of quickly transferring waste from their RV's to an approved sewer inlet.

Roaming Times has been promoting Phase Four Industries for the last 2 years and has found considerable dissatisfaction with standard sewage systems.

Ken Colby :   I've been RVing for more than 20 years and full timing for the last 10 and have never really been satisfied with the waste handling couplings and pipe arrangement. This system is really a much better way of dealing with the problems

John C :   With the typical RV system of tanks and valves, connection to the sewer is only a piece of the problem. The reason for a black holding tank cycle is ratio of solids to liquid, yet we take showers (using lots of water) and dump the water directly! We need the tanks, but we also need a NEW "Parked Mode" where gray water flushes black water on a continuing basis without periodic intervention, fancy valves, etc.

bigstatic@yahoo.com :   There needs to be a way to re-cycle liquid waste seperate from solid waste. Liquid can be used to power certain kinds of batteries for small electronic systems. Solid waste could be chemically treated and recycled into fertilizer. If someone could make a miniaturized way of accomplishing this with an RV, there would be a huge boom in sales.

Robbie Kennet :   I don't know anything about this system but I hope it is fitted to all RVs soon. The present system has been the standard for at least 30 years (that's how long it is since I first bought a trailer). Its crude and its only plus is its simple and cheap for manufacturers

Patty Marston :   If I understand it rightly this makes emptying waste just like filling a car. Why didn't they do this before? Connecting and unconnecting, who needs that?

James N :   I think this product is much needed. I certainly want it on my next coach which will probably be next year and another high-end Fleetwood (the best value for money in my opinion). I hope it's standard by then.

John F. Imler :   Just wanted to let RVers know that I have no regrets about retrofiting my travel trailer with the Phase Four valves and hose. It has turned out to be well worth the investment in reducing the time and mess of the previous method.

Corrine Hemsley :   This is just what we need. A permanently connected sewer hose and electic valves must be more sanitary. I don't think I want to retrofit but I would sure like the system fitted on my next rig.

fleetwood owner :   Big improvement because the system has many problems. It needs to be connected and disconnected and can be messy doing this. It needs to be flushed most newer rvs have cleaning systems for the black tank but they need to be set up every time you use it. RVs need a better system its crazy that we've not improved this.

Chris Kennet :   I think the problem is that systems have been standardized by too many RV manufacturers they don't want to change the system. Why should they? There are 2 tanks and a simple dump system. Unless enough people complain nothing will ever happen.
