Campground Consultant John Imler Retrofits His Trailer with the new Easy Drain System

Phase Four Industries, Hollister, CA – April 8th, 2007 – Campers and RV enthusiasts now have an easy solution to an old problem that has frustrated many happy campers over the years. Without a doubt, the least enjoyable task associated with camping and RVing is the manual emptying of holding tanks that can lead to spills, drips, and an unhealthy situation when it comes time to empty the RV of human waste and dirty water.

A California company, Phase Four Industries, has recently announced the availability of Easy Drain, a system that can be retrofitted to existing trailers, fifth-wheels and motorhomes. Previously available only from the OEM as an option feature, the company has expanded into the aftermarket with this new waste evacuation system.

Among the first to adapt their travel trailer is John Imler, a well respected industry veteran who has been consulting in the campground industry for over 34 years. Imler was ecstatic when he recently took delivery of his retrofitted trailer recently at Phase Four’s expansive production facility in Hollister, CA.

Seeing the system for the first time, John said, “Dumping the holding tanks has always been a pain and now it’s a pleasure. I am sure that if RV manufacturers added this system to their products they would really make their customers happy. What a great innovation!”

John and Ruth Imler had the system installed on their 28’ Layton travel trailer.

The Easy Drain System is now available to all consumers as a retrofit and aftermarket addition that will certainly enhance their RVing experience.

Phase Four Industries is excited to offer the general RVing public the opportunity to enjoy the ease of dumping their holding tanks in a more convenient, simpler and more sanitary way than ever before. The sewer hose and sewer inlet nozzle store in its own customized compartment so it is isolated from other current sewer hose storage that can now be used to store other items.

The sewer hose is connected to the termination point semi permanently so there is no need to remove and clean the hose after each use. The hose length is determined by the storage enclosure size and in most cases can store a 20 foot plus length. In the rare instance when additional hose is needed an adapter is available which attaches to the nozzle. This adaptor can be used when a “honey wagon” is needed at rallies or with a pump to go to a drain cleanout at home.

Phase Four Industries also manufacturers the Drain Master electric valves and the Waste Master Evacuation System that totally automates the dumping of holding tanks, the industry’s most advanced waste evacuation system.

jayco :   I have a trailer and the sewage tank drained but the indicator light still shows that it is a 2/3's full. if we look down in the tank we don't see any water. What could be the problem?

JourneyOne :   The worst chore in RVing is the Dumping..!!!and I agree with Brew..It's unbelieveable that something better hasn't been devised by someone..I wish I had an idea...It would make me rich..60 yrs. of RVing and 15 rigs later it's still the only thing that hasn't been updated..!!!

John F. Imler :   Just wanted to let RVers know that I have no regrets about retrofiting my travel trailer with the Phase Four valves and hose. It has turned out to be well worth the investment in reducing the time and mess of the previous method.

Terry :   how does it work and where is a picture of it etc

Corrine Hemsley :   This is just what we need. A permanently connected sewer hose and electic valves must be more sanitary. I don't think I want to retrofit but I would sure like the system fitted on my next rig.

fleetwood owner :   Big improvement because the system has many problems. It needs to be connected and disconnected and can be messy doing this. It needs to be flushed most newer rvs have cleaning systems for the black tank but they need to be set up every time you use it. RVs need a better system its crazy that we've not improved this.

Brew :   I think that the waste disposal system is too primitive on all RVs even million dollar rigs. My Newmar cost 300k but I have to fasten the hose and pull the lever and hope it works. I spoke to Newmar and they didn't care.
