CA-Complete
Coach
Works
announced
today
that
they
have
entered
into
a
definitive
purchase
agreement
to
acquire
BLUE
BIRD
Coachworks
and
BLUE
BIRD
Wanderlodge
of
Fort
Valley
Georgia,
from
Blue
Bird
Corporation.
The
purchase,
which
also
includes
the
manufacturing
facility
located
on
32
acres
of
land
in
Fort
Valley
Georgia,
adds
a
forty
and
forty
five
foot
seated
coach
featuring
an
ADA
compliant
design,
a
multitude
of
EPA
and
CARB
certified
power
combinations
including
CNG,
LNG
and
Hybrid
drive
systems,
as
well
as
the
legendary
Wanderlodge
Motor
Home
to
Complete
Coach
Works
family
of
transportation
specific
products
and
services.
The
purchase
brings
together
the
legacy
of
two
families
with
a
rich
heritage
in
transportation
products
and
service
solutions
that
can
be
traced
back
to
the
1920’s
when
the
Luce
family
started
building
school
buses
in
Fort
Valley
Georgia,
while
at
the
far
end
of
the
county
the
Carson
family
started
operating
bus
service
in
Southern
California
long
before
the
municipal
bus
lines
came
into
existence.

The
acquisition
comes
at
an
exciting
action
packed
time
as
the
BLUE
BIRD
Coachworks
group
finishes
a
26
bus
order
for
Veolia
Transportation
while
preparing
to
begin
manufacturing
of
a
multi
unit
GSA
order
and
the
BLUE
BIRD
Wanderlodge
group
prepares
to
roll
out
their
2008
Wanderlodge
Motor
Home,
which
they
promise
will
be
the
bench
mark
by
which
all
other
Motor
Homes
will
be
measured,
while
also
making
final
preparation
to
greet
over
300
current
and
prospective
Wanderlodge
owners
at
their
legendary
annual
“Rally
in
the
Valley”,
scheduled
for
October
28th
through
November
1st
at
the
Fairgrounds
in
Perry
Georgia
just
a
few
miles
from
their
Fort
Valley
manufacturing
facility.
