What if every business in America —
large and small — were to add just one
job?
That is the question One Job for America
founder Carla Emil is asking.
The organization, which encourages
business nationwide to create one new
job, was born out of Emil’s frustration
with the job situation in America.
“Like a lot of people, I have been
frustrated, and saddened even, by the
situation with jobs and unemployment in
this country. I thought about it a lot
and wished there was something I could
do about it,” Emil said.
The organization, which formed in
mid-February, reported that 181 jobs
have been pledged and companies filled
65 of those positions. The pledges from
businesses span 38 states.
“I have said this to people I know and I
mean this sincerely: If only one job had
been created, I would have been happy. I
mean 65 jobs, that is 65 lives that have
been affected,” she said.

Little Dealer, Little Prices RV
in AZ helps...:
Roger Chamberlain, the general manager
of Little Dealer, Little Prices RV,
which has a Mesa, AZ, location, first
heard of this organization through a TV
segment and liked its philosophy.
“It’s encouraging for us, encouraging
for them, encouraging all the way
around,” Chamberlain said.
Hiring new workers was on his mind when
he saw the segment on One Job for
America.
His wife contacted the organization once
the business added another job in their
service department at the company’s Deer
Valley location.
“I think it’s kind of a cool idea. I
mean when I saw the thing on TV the
first thing I thought of was that it was
encouraging. People could hire people
and we can get more people in the
workplace, generating more gross
dollars. It just seemed like a good
thing,” Chamberlain said.

| Re: Minnesota residents evading sales tax by registering RVs in Montana | Fritz | Used to live in the Peoples Republic of Minnesota. Vote with your feet. Democrat Farm-Labor says it all. Don't set up a shell corporation; move there, or to any state with a favorable tax structure. I moved when I saw that the state was sucking me dry. |
| Re: Futuristic Motorhome eleMMent | Gary | ugly. |
| Re: Minnesota residents evading sales tax by registering RVs in Montana | Two | A corporation is a legal entity. A corporation can own property. If you incorporate in Montana and your corporation is the registured owner of your vehicle and it is registured to the corporation at the Montana corporate hq address you have commited no crime or fraud. You have the legal right to do the above. |
| Re: Minnesota residents evading sales tax by registering RVs in Montana | Gail | I don't see the relativity in a report based on a survey done four years ago. A lot has changed in four year - gas/diesel prices, cost of camping. If the Outdoor Foundation is collecting information yearly - why does it take four years to publish this report? |
| Re: Minnesota residents evading sales tax by registering RVs in Montana | BUZZ | I went to school with Dan Evins at Castle Heights -- Lebanon, Tn. He restored the old Mitchell House to corporate offices. I lived in the Mithcell House 1944 and 1945. Had the privilige of spending the afternoon with Dan remembering old times |

| Re: Futuristic Motorhome eleMMent | sunshine | Does this unit have a kitchen? I don't see any in the layout. Not sure why anyone would want to travel without a kitchen especially a fridge. |
| Re: Futuristic Motorhome eleMMent | Richard H Zentgraf | As long as thease dreamers think that the majority of RV'rs want to take their Manhatten or Hollywood penthouse along, they are mistaken.
Get back to basics, a comfortable ride, sleep off the ground, a one burner stove is Ok and scrap the carpets. And, oh yes. Leave the damn TV at home. |
| Re: Futuristic Motorhome eleMMent | Tara | This should inspire new thinking and uses for an RV. |

| Re: Fuel-cell cars go commercial 2015 - implications for RVs | ARoach | Holy cow this sounds promising, my wife absolutely hates living without AC in the summer, she also hates me and the kids gone every weekend. I hate burning diesel unnecessarily. This might make everyone happy in my family. |
| Re: RV industry bubble - just like housing | Chris P | This is exactly true, I lost both my house and my RV. |
| Re: Tracks to Adventure and Adventure Caravans merge | The Eggesteins | We went on the Tracks Alaska 30 days tour a couple of years ago. The reservations were made ahead of time for meals and campgrounds, the route was planned for the scenic areas, the wagon masters had knowledge of fuel stops and road conditions, and help was always available for mechanical and tire problems. Our highlights included the vast, open spaces and the drives from one stop to the next. We were amazed to see the amount of water in the rivers and creeks. The little towns like Chicken, Stewart, Valdez, and Homer (fishing) were wonderful. The wildlife along the roads, roaming about, Fairbanks, Denali park, Cassiar Highway and the Stewart Glacier area were also highlights of ours. No improvements needed! We went on our tour with Tracks after we heard from others that the tours are good and conducted well. We are planning on going on another tour with them. |
| Re: Show Dad Even More Love This Weekend | Brian | Great idea - RVs and grillin it's what my dad likes. |
| Re: Show Dad Even More Love This Weekend | KARlVL | Love RVing and rvs and bbq free stuff, I'll be there look out for me |
| Re: $4 gas a thing of the past, at least for now | Dodder3 | Great but nobody really explains why. I thought it was the oil countries who set the price but I read that it was really US speculators. |
| Re: How to sell your RV without really trying | RCD Texas | Consignment is the best way to go. I've sold 2 motorhomes and I did it myself in both cases. The reason I did it was I thought I would make more money than if I consigned it. In both cases it was a real hassle and in the end I had to really reduce the price to sell it. Next time I'll consign. It's like selling a house - yourself or a realtor. |
| Re: Higher gas prices not slowing RV sales | Ken G | I agree that it doesn't make much difference for a single trip, but if you're a full-timer that travels a lot like me, it can make a big difference. I'm on a fixed income and if it goes up and up, I'll just have to travel less I guess. |
| Re: Why settle for basic roadside assistance | Charles3 | I agree. A tire blowout is really tough. If you are OK they want to tow rather than change the tire depending where you are on the freeway. Imagine the damage! |
| Re: Why settle for basic roadside assistance | Roy56 | I have Coach Net and have used it for a tire change. Great help. Nobody who's ever had a tire blowout will ever say anything other than you need the BEST assistance you can get. |
| Re: Little Dealer, Little Prices RV helps One Job for America | Lou | Great idea and good that companies are responding |
| Re: How to sell your RV without really trying | Fortune499 | I haven't sold an RV (yet) but i've sold houses and I cant imagine doing it without a realator. Easy to buy, not so easy to sell. |
| Re: How to sell your RV without really trying | Ros | I've had 2 consignment experiences. The first was a waste of time we took the RV back after a couple of months and the second we sold it fairly quickly. Most important is who you consign it with and how they market it. It's the same as selling a house really. |
