RIVERSIDE, CA, November 29, 2011 -- MVP RV, Inc. of Riverside, California has introduced the pre-production E Tahoe, the world’s first Class C zero emission motor home solely powered by electricity produced from life source rare earth lithium-ion batteries, one of many new advanced technology RV products to be manufactured by the forward-thinking company.

The E Tahoe was on display November 29th through December 1st in Louisville, Kentucky at the 49th annual Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) trade show, at booth #3220. In late 2010, MVP RV was the first company in the world to introduce an all-electric Class A motor home at the EVS 25 Show in Shenzhen, China.

MVP RV, Inc. President and CEO Brad Williams said that the energy efficient all-electric drive vehicles produced by the company will help the environment by having zero emissions, no carbon footprints, and low noise, among many other environmentally friendly characteristics.

The pre-production E Tahoe is fitted with a drive train, charger and battery system developed by Harbor City, California-based Balqon Corporation (OTCBB:BLQN), a leading developer and manufacturer of zero emission heavy-duty electric trucks, lithium battery packs and electric vehicle drive systems.

The company expects that the production models will feature higher capacity batteries that will dramatically increase the range between charges and also reduce charging time.

The MVP RV manufacturing facility, which has almost 500,000 square ft. of manufacturing space on 37 acres, is located in Riverside, California. MVP RV, inc. builds travel trailers under the brand names Sonoma and Summit, fifth wheels under the brand names Jazz and Destiny, toy haulers under the brand names Impact, Vortex and Envy, and motor homes under the brand name Tahoe.

Re: Thor Motor Coach Showcases Brand New 2015 Motorhomes on the West CoastKen BrownWe bought a new 2013 Thor Tuscany 42WX at this show. Got to use it one weekend had to take it back to the dealer and it has been there for 3 weeks and still not done. I hope the factory and the dealer get it together soon and get it fixed.
Re: Class C Diesel Motorhomes get Super-Sized, New 35SK Super C RV Unveiled by Thor Motor CoachJo Ann PallWe purchased the Super C Outlaw and it has been a NIGHTMARE, one problem after the other and Thor is NOT helping us at all. Major problems with this unit, Buyer beware!
Re: RV industry bubble - just like housingPatty O CamperI enjoyed reading the interview with Randy Potts, the new CEO of "Winnebago". His comments confirmed the feeling I had about the economy and it's impact on the RV Industry. I also noted he ignored the interviewer' s question about "how president Obama could help the RV industry" the question was stupid. The best thing government can due for the economy in general is to back-off on all the regulations that have strangled the American spirit of self-reliance. The crash in the economy was the result of government involvement in the housing industry. Insisting that banks loaned money for real estate to people who could never make the payments....all in the name of "equality". Banks started to fail, the housing market went into a depression and all because too many unqualified mortgage holders failed to make their payments. During this crisis the government continues to print money every week reducing the value of our currency on the world market and fueling inflation in this country. It is good to see Winnebago isn't in line for any government handouts like too many members of our dependent society seem to be. Reduce regulations, build the Keystone pipeline and the price of fuel for our RV's will go down....and get the ethanol out of our gasoline....it is reducing gas mileage and destroying our motor vehicles!
Re: Roadtrek Is Number 1 In Class B Sales YTD For February 2014Johni would like to find out how I can get a Manuel showing how to operate everything. Also would like know how i can buy the seat that go behind the passenger seat.It was taken out.
Re: RVing with Your PetCoryWe travel with 2 senior Goldens and a young one... It is very important that our Fur Babies stay cool, I would have not thought to leave a key with the camp host or a note... We usually don't lock the door when we leave them... And a ramp is very important to have to help get them in and out so the steep stairs don't hurt their hips.

Re: Getting Your Kicks at Age 66, the RV LifeCHUCK AND LIZWe were full time RV'er for 7 years while I was still working. My job included travel so the RV was perfect. Retired now (67) but have COPD and require oxygen. Bought a house as a home base. Have the house concentrator and bottle charger in washer/dryer compartment. Have a rented backup portable concentrator in living room. We still love our RVing and getting older may mean moving a little slower, but no reason to stop. Just make sure you got your meds and a way to get refills.
Re: Getting Your Kicks at Age 66, the RV LifeJodiAfter reading this article-I am reminded of how wonderful the RVing life is. My husband and I were RVers for 7 years - We never regretted a minute that we spent travelling around and seeing the country. I agree with the writer that when you pull into an RV park - you can make instant friends if you want to. Most people are basically friendly and helpful.
Re: RVing with Your PetKayI have 2 older dogs who are big (84 pounds each) and I'm new to RV'ing with them. Can someone tell me the best way to travel with older dogs? What to look for in a campsite and what ramps are best? They both have hip dysplasia. Thanks!
Re: Gasoline prices set to rise next month but fall overall for the yearcoachman99So the less gas I use the more I pay. What a Rip. We are supposed to get rid of Ethanol, get better mileage, but now raise the price.
Re: Retail sales heat up with new Super C RVs from Thor Motor CoachSuper C Motorhome FanThese new Thor Motor Coach Class Super C Motorhomes looks fantastic, the PowerStroke diesel engine is the best choice for mpg, power, and quality. I'm happy to see Thor start building Super C RVs, I'm sure the will also dominate the other Super C Motorhome manufacturers like they have in the other classes.
Re: Top Motorhome Manufacturer Unveils 2 New Diesel Super C MotorhomesPATI LIKE THE SUPER C CONCEPT WOULD BUY ONE OF THESE IN THE FUTURE.THE NEW FOUR WINDS REMINDS ME OF THE 2010 SILVER BULLET BY GULFSTREAM A SUPER C CAME OUT A FEW YEARS BACK. THAT UNIT CLAIMED 16 MPG W/52GAL TANK 832 MILE RANGE. IF FORD GETS 16 MPG WITH 68 GALLONS SHOULD GET 1088 MILES OF RANGE. WILL BE INTERESTING TO SEE WHO ELSE COMES OUT WITH A SUPER C TYPE RV.
Re: Solar Keeps Rising: Stoltzfus RV and Marine Goes Green With SolarShannon ScottsFor the past 3 weeks I have been asking Dometic and Atwood for the efficiency rating (Coeffiency of Performance (COP)) for their heat pump/AC units for my 2002 Carriage. No one, Dometic nor Atwood, will give this data to me. Stating it's unavailable. This date is basic data. All one needs is the input in Watts and the output in BTU per hour when the heat pump is operating without a electric heat strip. It seems that they are trying to hide something. The new heat pump technology is the world most efficient way to heat anything (space or water) period if you have a source of electric (generator or say a fuel cell). If everyone who wanted to buy a heat pump demanded this information then they would have to provide it. The standard GE heat pump at about 9,000 BTUH((Window and PTAC) has a COP of 2.9 to 3.7 resectively at 47 degrees F. That means that for every 1000 watts of electricity used you could get more than 10,000 BTUH of heat. To compare to a stardard electric heater the same 1000 Watts would only produce 3413 BTUH of heat. The COP drops when the outside temperature drops because the heat pump compressor has to work harder to harvest the available ambient heat in the outside air. Are the RV AC/Heat Pump manufacturers trying to hide the fact that they are selling people very low COP heat pumps compared to standard house units out there where as they might have to increase the COP to really compete? PS If anyone out there has access to this data please post it here. Thanks.
Re: Rand McNally and RVDA Dealer and Service Location AppfmprdwgJust purchased 2012 Jayco Seneca 38 foot. Cummins diesel and Freightliner chassis. Lots of power, mileage is a true 10mpg. I have over 4000 miles of travel to prove it. King bed, fireplace, 2 slides, 4 TV's. Only thing I do not like is 2 fuel tanks but not same sized and must use DEF (Diesel Emmision fluid). A real pain on the trunk !!!!
Re: EcoMotors Secures Investment for OPOC EnginelesterndOpposed piston diesels are not new technology. They were used in the 60's in Europe in Dodge trucks. They have a compact height advantage and the engine was under the flatbed.

Re: Minnesota residents evading sales tax by registering RVs in MontanaTwoA corporation is a legal entity. A corporation can own property. If you incorporate in Montana and your corporation is the registured owner of your vehicle and it is registured to the corporation at the Montana corporate hq address you have commited no crime or fraud. You have the legal right to do the above.
Re: The Outdoor Foundation Special Report on CampingGailI don't see the relativity in a report based on a survey done four years ago. A lot has changed in four year - gas/diesel prices, cost of camping. If the Outdoor Foundation is collecting information yearly - why does it take four years to publish this report?

Re: Futuristic Motorhome eleMMentsunshine Does this unit have a kitchen? I don't see any in the layout. Not sure why anyone would want to travel without a kitchen especially a fridge.
Re: Futuristic Motorhome eleMMentRichard H ZentgrafAs long as thease dreamers think that the majority of RV'rs want to take their Manhatten or Hollywood penthouse along, they are mistaken. Get back to basics, a comfortable ride, sleep off the ground, a one burner stove is Ok and scrap the carpets. And, oh yes. Leave the damn TV at home.

Re: TrailManor Elkmont travel trailerRichWe had a folding Trail Manor before purchasing an Elkmont. We towed both with a Honda Ridgeline. We got roughly 16 mpg with the folding version. The Elkmont dropped it to 10 mpg. Despite its lighter than normal weight, it is still a full upright trailer with the resultant wind resistance. The Elkmont suffered damage from hail. Because of its solid wall construction, it was a total loss. Other trailers may have been repairable.

michael kors large jet set monogram mirror metallic brown wallets outlet Falling sales don't mean the business is down for the count, though, and it certainly doesn't mean Coach can't still provide a solid dividend. Until the beginning of this year, Coach had been steadily increasing its dividend. This year, it held firm at $0.3375 per share per quarter $1.35 annually. Coach's current payout amounts to a 3.68% yield a favorable comparison to Kors' 0% payout.
Re: Aliner folding camping trailerMichaelRecently bought a like brand new 2013 Aliner Classic. After looking at NEW Aliners and seeing what they cost, I found this one at a 5000.00 savings. Even at that they are not worth the price! Workmanship is horrible! Trailer frame has painted over rusty members with the paint wanting to peal off on the rear bumper. Only a fool would buy these things new. You will take a huge loss doing so, trust me! Can't see mine lasting long. Haven't seen one thing that is quality on this RV. Sad thing is it was used one time since new... Look very good before you leap for your own good!!!

Re: Fun Finder X travel trailer Josephd Maurizzibought new 2014 fun finder 25 foot in June. Excellent design, they put a lot of thought into this trailer. Looked at Winnabago but opted for the fun finder, they had the slam latch doors, the fantastic fans, higher head room, they did not cut corners too much. They did have a cheap mattress. It was like sleeping on a board, Replaced it w/foam mattress $700. They should look at the article in Bloomberg Business Week Dec 14. Title the largest tool in the toolbox. It is about Dodge Ram how you can custom order a Truck. The Rv indutry should take notie. I would love to be able to custom order. I want air ride suspension, cant find it, We had to replace the mattress, I want 4 season capability. cant find it. ect. The only bad thing is the underside has a foam board finish. The wind caught it and pulled it down and tore it. I pushed it back up their and seemed to be ok. I would put a couple of cross members in across the width of the trailer wood slats to hold it up in their. We have pulled it about 5000 miles so far. Built in generator would be nice. We are boondockers. So we pull this trailer over some rough road. We are limited on length too where we camp. Mountains, Desart ect. all in all I love the design of this trailer.

Re: Fulltimingmase1950I am a young looking man, age 64, and full timing for the past 4 years. I have a 40', 3 slide toyhauler that carries my Gold Wing 3-wheel trike. I work on the road and sell a health related product at fairs, flea markets, seasonal markets and special events. I separated from my wife in July. I am finding it difficult on the road and in the booth without help, an extra pair of eyes and hands. I am looking for a best friend, traveling companion helper and lover. I prefer a short and thin pretty women in great health, non-smoker, social drinker, no drugs who is not shy and will not be uncomfortable pitching passers-by to come into the booth for a free 2-min. demo. I play more than I work, but I am not a sugar daddy. I am looking for a financially secure lady with no pets without strong ties to family or places. I play golf, ski and do all the stuff that busy, active RVers do when I am not selling. I travel all western states as far east as Montana to eastern Arizona. I spend alot of time in SW Arizona in the winters and in Pollock Pines, in N.CA. Driving skills are not required, but a fun-loving, adventurous and uninhibited personality are required. I am libertarian, so liberals should not contact me. I am too old to argue with those who see the world through a straw. I am "mase1950" on POF where I have posted a photos. PLEASE do not respond without at least 1 face and 1 full body photo. My email is wearesavingsoles@aol.com.
