Two 2007 motorcoaches with a full wall slide

Fleetwood and Monaco side-by-side

Since slides were first introduced, the race has been on to provide more and more.  A problem with multiple slides is that they tend to break up the floorplan giving narrower  and wider sections.  The following 2 floorplans show a "full wall" slide.  What do you think?

Denny Bortko :   Isn't Monaco coming out with full side slide outs on their coaches? I know tht Tradition has one but the rail frame limits the height of storage in the basement.

Sandra :   We have a 2007 Holiday Rambler Endeavor with a full wall slide - when the slide is in you can still get to the bathroom. We are living in it for 8 months with 4 people, our kids are 12 & 13 and are adult size, 6 feet tall and the other close to it. We looked for 2 years and found this the best unit; it also has tiles all the way from the front through the bathroom, carpet in the bedroom only. We realized that there are compromises we had to make and there is no perfect unit out there. We love our Endeavor and our full wall slide, and especially the seperate bathroom and the tiles.

Delta Bunny :   We looked at the Knight at the Salt Lake RV Show. This is a beautiful home and very well priced. My wife really wanted the full Tile from front to back, but it is not available. The one displayed at the show had laminated tile instead of real tile. We are considering the home. We like the idea of not having the TV over our heads. If you like room, this is the coach to consider.

VAH :   We have the Fleetwood Discovery 39V with the full slide and love it. It is truly like a bedroom with a sitting area. Wereally like the self- contained shower and commode. The storage is more than enough and we opted for the outside kitchen which is a winner. Changed the loveseat for a recliner and feel the coach is all we wanted.

Ruthie :   I agree with Charlotte, but I think that if two bathrooms aren't particulary a feature you value, the Fleetwood Discovery shows a more spacious bedroom area that really looks as comfortable as one at home. I predict that fulltimers will be very excited about these new innovations. I will be interested hearing from the new owners of this type of RV. Right now we are content with our 32' Motorcoach. We only use it a few times a year and it takes us around in acceptable style.

Charlotte :   I like both floorplans. I particularly like the arrangement of the Monaco with the 2 toilets. The bathroom at the back of the Monaco coach is particularly nice and the full wall slide makes the area between the refrigerator and the powder room very accessible.
