The 40X floorplan is shown below.  This is the longest Discovery - 41' exterior length.  This is a beautiful arrangement - very spacious of course, taking of the 41' length and the 3 slides.  A nice feature is the central entertainment center with the 40" LCD TV.

The 39V floorplan featuring the full wall slideout is shown below.  (You can see this compared side by side with the 2007 Monaco Knight 40DFT full wall slide motorcoach here)

(These floorplans - to maximize the space and make them as easy as possible to look at - are not shown to the same scale of course ..)

The 35H floorplan with 3 slides is shown below.
This is the shortest Discovery at only 35'4".  Despite the shorter length, this is good arrangement with lots of space.

jlt :   Just purchased a used 2007 fleetwood discovery 39V, the problem is there was not any manuals, we need a cat 330, a tracvision dome manual, a coby dvd 938, a 39V coach manual would sure help. email jackie.touchstone@suddenlink.net

Greg P :   We have a 2008 Discovery. When I bought this coach it was 10 months old and I was told by the first owner that he'd had some minor problems that had all been resolved. He told me what they were but I don't really remember. But I've had it good. Really nice coach.

Rich P :   Like this coach very much. bought it in 07 and a few problems as with all coaches but manufacturer and dealer sorted them out. Don't know why there is critisim of fleetwood, my experience (2 rvs) has been good.

superdutydad12@aol.com :   I have a 2005 discovery that I bought oct of 2007 (second owner). The jack hoses were backwards (jacks must never have worked right, I fixed myself because no-one else would), there is rinkling of the roof membrane and the cruise control acts like it is a loose connection somewhere. The slides are tilting and act like they are not going to make another trip in. I have to hold my breath everytime this happens. I have called Fleetwood, Dealer, Gearbox and Freightliner and everyone blames the other. I would not advise anyone to buy a Fleetwood until some changes are made. These units cost way, way to much to have these problems.

Discovery owner :   We have a 2008 Discovery 40X wth just over 12,000 miles on it. We love it and the dealer. NO major problems that were not resolved.

Dan :   I have a fleetwood 39L does anyone know how to disconnect the disconnect on the front TV when the engine starts. I know this is a safty feature but it is entertaing for my grands to watch as we are going down the road

mark :   I have a Fleetwood Discovery - could anyone tell me how do you drain the hot water heater to protect it from cold weather when not in use

Joe Robb :   Have 1997 Fleetwood Discovery. Engine blew head gasket. After getting hot from heater hose coming off of engine block, cylinder walls scored, replaced with Jasper Remanufactured engine warranty 100,00 miles. I like it with out slides. The slides scare me especially the full walls. I have had 3 Fleetwood rv's. Used. No other problems. In fact I am going to sell this one and purchase a 2007 Discovery. Based upon your experiences, would you buy one of this manufacturer's RVs again?: Yes. Rating: 5/5.

Jon :   To John, I am also having problems with my large slide on my 2004 Revolution. The ceiling on my slider needs to be replaced due to leaks and I now have some mold problems. The factory reps have been totally non-responsive.We need to talk.

JesseParkes :   Just thought of something else, never buy unless you are really sure about the dealer. just as important as the manufacturer from a buyers viewpoint.

JesseParkes :   We've had fleetwoods for 20 years and now we have a discovery. This is a great coach and every problem we ever had was taken care of under warranty.

Greg Cornish :   We have a 2003 Discovery. The product is good but the dealer was not. We had a few problems including trouble with a slide sticking. The dealer kept telling us the problem was solved and then we kept finding that the problem reoccurred. Eventually we got the problem solved but only after 4 trips to the repair shop. Other problems were similar, the dealer said they were fixed but they weren't or the fix didn't last long. The coach is now 4 years old and we seem to have cured all the problems. The Discovery is a great coach despite the problems we had. Now we're thinking of the new Discovery and love the fullwall slide, but do we have all the problems again? We would definitely buy from a different dealer.

Roger N :   We have a 2001 Discovery and we love it. Love the look of the full length slide, will definitely go to a dealers and look at it.

Art T :   The Discovery is good. We have a 2005 Discovery, good but the dealer prep was horrible. Our first two weeks were spent in lazys days garage. The sign on the door said it was fully inspected by fleetwood and lazy days.

VAH :   We have the Fleetwood Discovery 39V with the full slide and love it. It is truly like a bedroom with a sitting area. Wereally like the self- contained shower and commode. The storage is more than enough and we opted for the outside kitchen which is a winner. Changed the loveseat for a recliner and feel the coach is all we wanted.
