Re: So-Cal teardrop trailerBarneyI'm really thinking about buying one. We live in Arizona. Great for the winter. But what about the summer and air conditioning? Even with it fitted it would cut in and out all the time with such a small space.See RoTi item
Re: Keystone Bullet travel trailerAlliKWe have a 2009 Bullet. I really thought long and hard about buying it with such a smaller width but we went with it and never regretted it. It tows beautifully and we love the interior, all the space we need.See RoTi item
Re: Time to put aside the doom and gloomGloriaI agree it's time to put aside the doom and gloom. We've been putting off buying an RV but if not now, when? If we can get credit we're going to do it. We're wannabees.See RoTi item

Re: Downsizing from a class A to a class BDoggyDaddyIf I was concerned about fuel and the environment and wanted to stop pampering my self and be cramped, I would ride in a Greyhound. If fuel prices get to the point they cramp my traveling, I will travel closer to home. Selecting an RV is like buying shoes. You find something that fits, looks nice, and is in your price range. Re: Improving RV OutlookJohn ARV sales are a leading indicator. I think that they should go up even more than forecast. Many people have just been putting off buying an RV until they felt more secure, and some are starting to feel the worst is over.See RoTi item
Re: TAB teardrop trailer" COOTER " I rented a rig for the weekend, and hauled it behind my streetrod. It worked okay, at best. I have rented SCAMP trailers, and they had a lot more features, for a lot less money, and they pulled behind my rig much better. I thought a tear drop style would be the best, but it did sway quite a bit on the highway. I'd have to think twice about buying one. The rental had delamination problems in four places. And how do you get service to repair it so far from the factory? It was an okay experience, but I can't see buying one for my purposes. Thanks , CooterSee RoTi item
Re: Trailer residents sueJohn DoeWe own a Gulfstream Motor Home. We can say with hard cold experience that Gulfstream make a very poor quality product. The have no dealer structure, very poor service and the poorest part department I have every seen. After you purchase their product they could care less about the many many problems you are going to experience. Think twice before buying a Gulfstream.See RoTi item

Re: TAB teardrop trailerKevco I am thinking about buying a 2010 T@B trailer, with new bathroom. But I am hearing bad things about Dutchmen, and Thor, I was told the plant was not making any T@B trailers, is this for good or just a short time? I have read many comments about getting parts, and trim parts coming off when driving, I have seen many trailers on the lot with trim coming off! The black rubber seal over the roof, on the sides of the roof. I love is trailer but should I buy one! Thanks KevcoSee RoTi item

Re: R-Vision Trail-Lite travel trailerRayInAZWe have a 2007 R-Vision Travel Lite 30 ft travel trailer. Generally for the money this is an excellent trailer. But don’t expect the interior fit and finish to match that of more expensive units; as these are just adequate and nothing more. The lack of wardrobe space is an issue, we made note of this before buying the unit; but it has turned out to be a larger issue that we realized. We’ve replaced all the vent covers with “unbreakable” polycarbonate covers; the original vents were destroyed by the Arizona sun in 1 year. The black tank indictor failed at 18 months, we didn’t replace it as we seldom dry camp and we know how long we can camp before we need to dump. A super slide is a must. Rate 4/5.See RoTi item
2008 Great West Rv Sprinter LegendSparksAs far as we are concerned this is a hunk of junk. After getting it home from the dealer we found 25 items defective. The roof leaked, the pump leaked and would not shut off, water had stained the wood surrounding it. Many latches broken, the ceiling in the bathroom had seperated from the wall. Batteries had destroyed the TV remote. The GfI did not work int the bathroom. Two snaps for privacy curtain were not there. The sofa does not go down with ease like stated. The list goes on. It is going back to dealer. The whole experience with buying this has been your worst nightmare...in Oregon.See RoTi item
Re: Coachmen Spirit of America travel trailerChuckI would have to say that the 2009 coachmen spirit of america that i purchased the end of April in 2008 has been nothing but a host of problems. This is not my first trailer. I had a 2007 capri that had minor problems all covered under warranty. But when we decided to upgrade we got a lemon. We used the 2009 twice in 2008 closed it up for the season. Opened it inmid June due to a very cold and rainy new england spring and found that when I had closed the slide out it had pealed the linoleum of the floor, I had also had the master bed come apart at the point where the piston held the bed up. I took it to my local dealer for repairs and was told that Coachmen had a 1 year warranty and all repairs were on me. The cost in excess of $3000. Poor workmanship should not fall on the consumer. We were able to take the trailer out 2 weeks later and upon hooking up to fresh water found that my water lines had burst under the sink and now I have no recourse but to try to warn others away from Coachmen who have no concern other than to get your money and leave any warranty issues to you. Coincidentally Coachmen no longer warranties 2009 trailers they have sold the division to Four winds trailers who have no interest in paying for any prior defects in a Coachmen product. So I am now stuck with a brand new trailer that a spent about $29,000and can't use. Do your homework carefully before buying this product. I hope others have better luck than me. See RoTi item

Re: Buying an RVTexastbirdDoes anybody know of a light weight travel trailer with a real queen bed? Or do you have suggestions on how to modify the space to accommodate one 80" long instead of the short ones commonly included? We really like the Jayco Eagle Super Lite 256 RKS but bed is just 74" long and hubby is just too tall for that.See RoTi item

Re: Forest River V-Cross travel trailerMichelleWe bought a 2009 V-Cross 31 foot camper. Looks great, but has leaked dust from day one. Have had it back to be repaired 3 times and it is still leaking dust. Each time the service department thought that the leak was fixed only to get it home, open the door and the dust litterally rolled out of the camper. What a pain to keep taking it back to the dealer for a week at a time and still leaking. Not sure weather it is poor service dept. or poor manufacturing. We have never been so frustrated and disappointed after buying something brand new.See RoTi item
Re: Aliner folding camping trailerKay and JohnHELP!! We are buying our first Aliner...probably a Classic. What are the features that you folks think are the most important and ones that you would not want to be without. Do you like having water on board, or do you prefer to carry your water with you? What about the ceiling fan? All of your suggestions will be most helpful and appreciated.See RoTi item

Re: R-Pod Ultra Lite travel trailer DaveGee, Trey, my inlaws keep buying Subarus, both of the ones they've had have needed major repairs by 60k miles. I'm looking on this forum because my Explorer only pulls 3500 lbs. but It's hit 45k and hasn't gone back to the dealer yet. The last Ford I had ran me 120k miles before we traded it for the Explorer and if we didn't have kids now I would have kept the pickup. My daily driver is a '93 GMC 1/2 ton that even though it's pushing 17 years old, I wouldn't hesitate to drive it cross country tomorrow. Indeed, the two Japanese cars I've had (87 4Runner and '96 Nissan King Cab 4x4) needed repairs before 100k, especially the Nissan... it spent as much time in the service garage as it did in my garage.See RoTi item

2008 Jayco Eagle 351RLSA fifth wheelwestcoastcopWe have the 2008 Jayco Eagle 351RLSA. This is our 5th new Jayco...and again we are pleased with the buying experience at the Dealer...and are yet again continue to be dazzled by the quality, workmanship and incredible attention to detail! And so many things not listed in the brochure are standard. Jayco's are built by a company that is still owned by the original family, 41 years ago. They aren't like some of the RV companies that make 30 different brands...Jayco just makes Jayco! They have a 2 year warranty that they actually have no restrictions on. Some manufacturers void your warranty if you full time or use it as a "residence"...not Jayco! And the double stacked structural steel frame instead of cheap flimsy aluminum frame. Real oak wood cabinets and drawers instead of particle wood used in other brands. Tinted Safety glass standard. About 20 items are standard on Jayco that are extra cost options on other brands. And Jayco uses name brand stuff on their RV's...not cheap crappy no-name appliances. Goodyear tires, Atwood heaters and water heaters, Sharp DVD TV's, Samsung microwaves, etc. And you'll find if you do happen to have problems (our last 4 Jaycos never had any issues!) the Jayco folks say that they treat their customers like family...and they DO! Jayco gets ***** 5 Stars for sure! See RoTi item
