TIME FOR A GOOD
DEAL ON AN RV IF YOU CAN
AFFORD IT?"
|
|
|
|
| "Those
who can buy RVs now will be
saving big time on
manufacturers rebates" |
-
$500 ON
GAS? - A RoTi reader - Pat
H - tells us she "spent $500 on gas
yesterday." She tells us she's
traveling less and staying more and
so we do less miles so that's
environment friendly"
-
CREDIT A
PROBLEM? - John A, however,
says "I think there really is a
pent-up demand for RVs. I think
credit is a big factor. People can't
get money as easily as before and
this is having a big effect on
sales. The gas-guzzling aspect of
motorhomes is a problem also" ...
-
TIME FOR A GOOD DEAL? - At
the big Midwest RV show in August
2008 the show director, Matt
Bowersox, told Fox 28 of South Bend
IN, show attendance had dropped. But
he says "those who can buy RV's now
will be saving big time
on manufacturers rebates. That's
what salesmen are pitching to
potential buyers that when the
economy turns around, they'll look
back and know they've gotten a good
deal"
-
PRICES
WILL GO UP - Another
argument being made is that when the
market comes back - and it will of
course - prices will go up because
of all the increases in raw
materials over the last couple of
years
-
RV
INDUSTRY LEADS -
"Unfortunately the RV industry tends
to lead the country into an economic
downturn, but it also tends to lead
the country out of an economic
downturn," said Bowersox
-
WE NEED
BIG CHANGES WITH RVs ,
greener and more fuel efficient -
RoTi readers constantly tell us this, -
particularly with
luxury coaches,
class A,
class B, and
class C - and this industry also
needs "to
improve its readiness for upcoming
change" ..
