The top ten reasons to go RVing

"The No. 1 selling travel trailer in North America for the fourth year in a row"
See RoTi review

Reason #10:  People tell Roaming Times they just like being in an RV.  The family can be together and people just think it's fun!
9 RVing is good for the environment (See RoTi article)
8 RVing vacations are the least expensive (See RoTi article)
7 The bathroom is always clean (or, if it isn't, at least you know why)
6 Less hassle. No flights to catch, no lines to stand in. Travel is easier
5 You can sleep in your own bed. Most people tell Roaming Times they prefer this to sleeping in a hotel bed
4 Eating better.  Often people who go RVing take the time to make themselves a better meal. The need or temptation for junk food is less
3 Exercise. Many people tell Roaming Times that they tend to walk more, hike or bike more. Even if it's just walking the dog, people on vacation get out and about more
2 Less stress. Freedom and the feeling of getting away from it all helps reduce stress levels
1 FREEDOM.  Go where you want, when you want.  In every Roaming Times poll over the years this has always been the number one reason

KellyMy favorite is the bathroom, but for more than the obvious. When we stop for gas the kids & I pop in the back to go while my husband's pumping the gas. We're back in the truck all buckled in before he's even done. It's quicker, cleaner, cheaper, & healthier (we don't waste money on junk food we see on our way back from the filthy bathrooms)!
jackie9toesWe use our mobile home as a summer home. We move it to a campground for the season on 4/15 and it stays till 10/15 every year. If you don't like the campground you can always move to a different one or even a different town or state. We live in MA but camp in CT (this year - who knows where next year). Flexibility is a great thing about RVing.
Ross PTravel vacations are very different now from when I was a child. We didn't have any. The best difference is the ability of a family to rent or buy an RV and take everyone to different places, places they would never go if they had to stay in an hotel. Wonderful for the family and very educational for the kids. Renting to try it is a great way to start.
MarkI tend to agree with all of this. I'd rather sleep on my sheets instead those of Bob, Carol, Ted and Alice at the hotels. However, to get a true cost, you have to factor in the cost of the RV if you're still making payments, insurance, wear tear, fuel, etc.
Celia BurtonRVing is great. I agree that we've become a nation that just consumes more and more. I dropped out from my 6 figure job and sold everything and bought a 2002 Fleetwood class C and hit the road. I started to consume less and less and it's made me much happier and probably wiser and less affraid of the future even though I'm not financially secure and I'm now 63. I started 5 years ago and since then I've met and married and we're very happy traveling and working and enjoying life. We're on a very tight budget but we manage even though we live month to month. We stay in places usually for about a month sometimes more in the winter. We enjoy thinking about where we're going next and when we set out it's always like we're kids we're so excited. Fulltiming is a great life, sieze the day.
Ruth 43The whole point of having an rv for us is to have our own place to escape to whenever we want. Freedom is the main thing, go when you want.
RAE2059Small IS planet friendly!! I don't understand why everyone doesn't agree. I lived in Atlanta for 58 years and it just got bigger and everything got worse. The roads the pollution the water. I bought a 26' motor home and now I live where I want and how I want. I don't regret getting rid of anything and my life is better than ever.
LydiaI cannot agree with this enough. I love the freedom, convenience and comfort. It is better than having a country cottage or a weekend home as a get-away.
kptFREEDOM OF CHOICE is the number one reason we love full time RVing! Our motorhome is our "home on wheels." We agree think that campgrounds weren't just invented for people who couldn't afford hotels, they are for people who like the more natural and relaxed way of traveling.
Connie CWe're already retired and we love being fulltimers. Can't think of anything we'd rather be doing. The thing we like most is seeing different parts of this beautiful country. The thing we like least is diesel fuel prices!
