| Re: Winnebago Via class A motorhome | Stef | Is it true that the Via & Reyo only have ONE door? No driver or passenger door?? Has anyone seen this in person? All I've seen are the photos & videos on Winnebago's web site. Seems to me like it would be a safety issue.Otherwise I love the configurations. Prefer maple cabinetry but that's just me. :>) | See RoTi item |
| Re:Winnebago Outlook | Pat Specht | I am suspecting that we may have the battery drain problem in 2007 Outlook Winni. When it is unplugged for a day or so the engine battery gets very weak even after making sure that everything is turned off. House batteries seem to maintain the charge. We suspect a switch that is not functioning properly? | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago View Class C | aussie | I really cant get over this `obsession' that Americans have that a `dodge' isnt supported anymore
dodge hasnt been available anywhere apart from America for the last 3 decades
It's a Merc sprinter
parts available worldwide (far more so than any Chrysler bits)
and turbo diesels rule the roads
v8 (v10's in america???- say whhhaaa)
I see all the camper owners in america complaining about 8-10 mpg
well you should be
I get about 28 mpg in a bigger 4 tonner ( thats about 8800 pounds according to wiki)
makes me wonder what I am doing right or you guys are doing really wrong...

| Re: Winnebago Via class A motorhome | harold | I like the idea but the price is height. the bed over the drivers seat is an old idea used in a german mh years ago. | See RoTi item |
| Re: 2010 Winnebago ERA class B motorhome | UP Retirees | We bought our ERA this summer at a substantial discount. We have driven it to California and back and love the manuverability and diesel mileage. My wife has mobility problems which makes this small unit ideal. We travel with Jake our 90 pound goldendoodle. | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago Destination class A motorhome | Pia Piaquinto | It sounds like an electric golf cart. Need to gun the gas to see if it is running. In 8,000 miles we were never passed by a diesel pusher on any degree of hill.AND we tow a small Honda.
The interior cabinets are well designed aesthetically and well constructed. The exterior and interior are all 1st class. We exchanged the outside mirrors for chrome and now we look like a 300K rig.Inside we upgraded the carpet and put in corian on the counters. The bathroom sink is el cheapo so we exchanged plastic for stainless. This is a dazzling unit for just over 100K.Tough competition in todays tight economy. Winnebago has a winner. | See RoTi item |
| Re: 2010 Winnebago ERA class B motorhome | Gordon | Like the ERA we've had ours for 2 years. The 2010 looks good, same 2 floorplans I think. | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago Via class A motorhome | SkipJ | Where will owners of Sprint based RV's get service now that Dodge will no longer be selling them, after Jan 1st? Can Mercedes dealers handle motor homes? | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago View Class C | chris | we just bought a 2009 view 24H. After one weekend trip, we also find it much easier to drive than our last RV - a 21 ft Four winds. My husband and I look forward to traveling and think the View will be perfect for longer trips across county. We would enjoy meeting and traveling with new friends from FL if we ever get down there from our current home in northern IL. | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago ERA class B motorhome | mrlear | Love that coach, gotta buy one | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago Aspect class C motorhome | Brian | We have a 2005 Forest River on a Ford E450 chassis that we like. Looking to move on and this looks perfect. Like the interior and the 28B layout. Not sure about the 30C with the stove in the slideout right next to the sofa. | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago ERA Class B | Stillsmilin | Owned one for about 4 months now, so happy with fuel economy, functionality, and ease of driving. It is definitely a "wow" vehicle! | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago ERA class B motorhome | Ivan | I like the twin beds. Being older and having arthritis it is difficult getting out of a bed set up like the queen bed/sofa. | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago Via class A motorhome | Rory Blenkin | I really think this is nice. 15mpg sounds good to me. I'm stuck with a 7mpg gas guzzler I've been trying to sell for 2 years. When I get the money I think I'll go for this. The long slideout model is the one I would prefer but I'm not sure about the fact that the one on the inside has to climb over the one on the outside during the night. Maybe the other model is better. | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago Via class A motorhome | Curtis | I've had 2 winnebagos and 1 itasca and I liked them. I was thinking of going for a class B maybe the Winnebago ERA because I was thinking class A's are too big. But this is smaller and looks really good. Going to look at it. Thanks for the review. | See RoTi item |
| 2001 Winnebago Adventurer | Terry | We are newbies to the RV World and have been looking for awhile and finally found one that we both like and would love to hear pros and cons. The Winnebago Adventurer is a 2001 amd has 60,000 miles and is gas. | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago ERA class B motorhome | IGC_ | Never been a big fan of the B class - I love Winnebago - but this seems like another over priced B class to me...Go big or go home... | See RoTi item |
| 2007 Winnebago Aspect, class C | M. Farri | Bought a new 2007, 30 ft Aspect in 2008. So far we have put approx 3,000 miles on it with no problems. The Ford V 10 has excellent power and the brakes are fantastic. We love it! My only complaint is that Ford can do a little better job with the chassis in terms of handling. Inflating the rear air bags to over 60lbs really helped. I also found out that my TV's won't work on antenna without a digital converter box. This is a problem if your TV is built in. I was afraid of messing up the wood work to pull the TV out so I went to the dealer. You will have to remove the TV. He knew what pieces of wood to remove without damaging the cabinets. We did it in 45 minutes. Other than that, a great coach. | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago ERA class B motorhome | John | I think this has always been my perfect vehicle. I'd love to travel around the country in one of these. Either this or a Roadtreck. | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago ERA Class B | Shobud Sierra | We just got ours new, at a massive discount. Can maneuver everywhere I used to go in my old pickup! | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago Vectra Class A | Slow Elk | If you shop around you will find that Winnebago is one of the only manufactures that put fiberglass roofs on ALL their rigs. I was told by other companies that it is too expensive to do that with their lower line of motorhomes. | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago Adventurer class A motorhome | Darthvagrant | A "Hybrid" vehicle that would have to weigh in excess of 20,000#? Wow! I can see an improvement from 9 MPG tpo 9.5 MPG at an additional cost of $4500. for the "Hybrid" system. 20,000# PLUS batteries, that is. I think someone is on drugs. | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago introduce the first hybrid RV | Casey | To madbeachdogs: This is a concept RV, I don't think it's in full production and on sale yet so there isn't a price decided yet. The ordinary Adventurer starts at $127k but this is not at all the same. I'm sure details will be on Roaming Times once the production model is available. | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago introduce the first hybrid RV | Jason Hughes | We really NEED to do things. I'm not sure this is enough but it sure is a start. Until someone figures out a real alternative to the internal combustion engine this is good. If the price of fuel rises more (and I think it will big time) this is going to look better and better. Go Winnebago. | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago introduce the first hybrid RV | Homer | I see no claims for this hybrid. I am sure they have tested it and pretty much know what it will do. This is an endurance trip it is on now. If you use the big diesel, and add electric motors and batteries. You have priced most people out of the market. I think it is a step in the right direction but lets find something that is really affordable. | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago introduce the first hybrid RV | CliffPA | For the rest of us. I hope someone is considering a minimal, think the classic VW camper, using diesel or hybrid, so travel would be possible at low cost and low carbon footprint.
$30000 and 35 mpg should be possible! It could be based on any of the diesel powered minivans or vans currently sold in Europe or other markets outside of the U.S and Canada. | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago introduce the first hybrid RV | Kevin | This is not on the gas chassis even though it's called an Adventurer, it's on the ecoFRED chassis. There's a link to an article about the chassis at the top of the page under the picture. It's a Freightliner chassis. | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago introduce the first hybrid RV | Jack Peters | I am confused as to why Winnebago would chose what is normally a gas chassis to test a Hybrid Diesel configuration. I assume this is a front engine and would like to know what kind of mileage is expected from the coach. I have owned only one Winnebago, an Elanden, but I was impressed how advanced it technology was compared with others. I am now the owner of a Foretravel U270. | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago introduce the first hybrid RV | Ben 47 | I've had 2 Winnebagos and both were good. Glad to hear they were the first with the hybrid. Like to try one. It says this is just a concept vehicle so I'm thinking they're not available yet. | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago introduce the first hybrid RV | H. Webb | IT'S A START. Now do more stuff before the Japanese and Chinese start sending us fuel efficient RVs. | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago introduce the first hybrid RV | Heather | I like the concept and hope other manufacturers do the same. I wonder how much this improves the fuel consumption? Still think all manufacturers need to do much much more. Fuel prices are going to be a big problem. | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago introduce the first hybrid RV | DanaMite | Please cater to us green people (and the little purple people too). Cater to the planet, the environment as a whole, and the quality of air we breath. Cater to long term, educated choices, that simply make sense. Or at least are headed in the right direction! | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago ERA Class B | ladebug | I've had mine for 2 months now. Almost every weekend, I head to southern Utah. I LOVE this puppy. Great for 1 or 2 people, my bike, kayak, and general camp gear. Drives nice, all the amenities of home. My first RV ever. Easy to use and learn how to use it! | See RoTi item |

| Re: Winnebago ERA Class B | Mike K | Nice Class B with major flaw. It's on the Sprinter 2500 chassis with severe load carrying capacity. Too bad Winnebago didn't go to the 3500 model like Airstream did. | See RoTi item |
| 2007 Winnebago Sightseer | colin lawson | We have purchased a 2007 Sightseer 35j bunk model, plenty of room and build quality second to none, only bad thing there is not enough summer days to tour here in scotland. | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago Vectra Class A | Ros | We have a 2006 Vectra and love it but we've had a lot of electrical problems. RVs are very expensive to own and care for. | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago Vectra Class A | RV gal | We LOVE this new set up-wish it had more sleeping quarters but other than that its a beauty!! We don't have one but my friend has one and we love to go with her on trips-very smooth ride... | See RoTi item |
| Re:Winnebago Outlook | Morey Anderson | We have 2007 Outlook purchased Nov. 2007.
1. We are about install the 3rd battery (starting) nobody seems to know why they are failing.
2. We have put 2 new motherboards in the furnace control again no reason given
3. TV cable system doesn,t work we have to run cable in through a window dealer can't find cause.
None of these have been warranty items.
Does this sound framiliar to anyone else? | See RoTi item |
| Re: Winnebago best selling motorhome for sixth year | Betsy Barmore | I was wondering if you knew how many models of Winnebagos were made in 2003. And I am trying to find where in the list of models does an Adventurer rank. This is not counting the Bus type. Thanks | See RoTi item |
