FOREST CITY, Iowa - Winnebago Industries, the nation’s top-selling motorhome manufacturer, unveiled its 2010 lineup at the Company’s Winnebago Itasca Travelers Club Grand National Rally. This year’s lineup has a more concentrated effort on fuel efficient vehicles, unique and innovative floorplans, dynamic styling as well as a stronger diesel presence.

“Our 2010 model lineup is without a doubt the best we’ve ever offered, and what better group to show it to first than our own, loyal owners,” said Winnebago Industries’ Chairman of the Board, CEO and President Bob Olson. “From top to bottom we’ve raised the bar in creating innovative products with exciting floorplans and features with an emphasis on form, function and styling.

“Prior to this retail unveiling, our dealer body was introduced to the new lineup, and the feedback we’ve received has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Olson.
“I’m amazed and excited to see that Winnebago Industries was able to invest so aggressively in new product design for 2010,” said Lindsay Reines, president of Reines RV, Manassas, Va. “We assumed manufacturers would simply re-label 2009 as 2010 in light of current market conditions.”
“I’m real excited about the new products, especially the Via and Reyo on the Sprinter cowl chassis,” said Franklin Jackson of John Bleakley RV Center, Douglasville, Ga. “I think these products will be great for our customers looking for an economical and smaller Class A. The new Journey Express and Meridian V Class look great too, and the new 42-foot Tour and Ellipse will be sure to be a hit.”

Re: Winnebago 2010 modelsPATI BOUGHT A WINNEBAGO VIEW 24H LAST SUMMER, MY FIRST MOTORHOME, AND I AM HAPPY WITH THE VIEW EXCEPT FOR A FEW THINGS. FIRST THE MERCEDES 154 HP ENGINE IS NOT POWERFUL ENOUGH TO MOVE 11,000 POUNDS OF RV. ALSO THE FUEL TANK AT 24.6 GALLONS IS TO SMALL. I AVERAGED 300 MILES TO A TANK ON A TRIP TO COLORADO THIS SUMMER AND ON AN 1100 MILE TRIP HAD 4 FUEL STOPS.I HAVE ONLY HAD 1 ENGINE PROBLEM THE MAIN TURBO HOSE HAD A SPLIT AND HAD TO BE REPALCED AT ABOUT 3500 MILES ON THE COACH.THE DODGE DEALER I TOOK IT TO WAS WAS GREAT PROBABLY THE BEST AUTO DEALER EXPERICE I HAVE EVER HAD. THE VIEW IS A HIGH QUALITY MOTORHOME AND I WILL BUY ANOTHER WINNEBAGO AGAIN, PROBABLY THE ASPECT ON THE FORD CHASIS.THAT MODEL HAS A LARGER ENGINE TO GET UP HILLS AND A LARGER FUEL TANK FOR BETTER RANGE.See RoTi item

Re: Winnebago Destination class A motorhomeBobWinnie Destination getting 10.0 MPG. I think the owner of that coach needs a math lesson on MPG computations. Towing is closer to 6 than 10. Otherwise a good coach but the mileage sucks.See RoTi item

Re: Winnebago introduce the first hybrid RVWinnebago AlThere is no free lunch. Hybrid does not help fuel economy on the highway, only in stop and go traffic. A more economic motorhome is available today, they sell them in Europe, Austrailia, etc. When we are willing to drive a 20 foot aero coach with a 2 cubic foot refrigerator and a 10 gallon water tank, we might get 16 mpg. There are no 25 to 30,000 pound vehicles anywhere getting better than 9mpg. Keep dreaming folks, hybrid is just marketing hype to help fools believe they are better than the rest of us. See RoTi item
Re: Winnebago Destination class A motorhomeRonnie BlackworthThe Destination gas pusher is a great coach. The interior is a basic bargain type decor. I bought mine new and upgraded the flooring, added coran tops, upraded the house battieies and built a small work staion where the extra chair goes. I also added automatic draers underneath, upgraded the awning also replaced the cheap carpet with wood vinyl.Best improvement was a $500 mattress ultra foam from Costco and I am in a $300K plus rig. It ia amazing and my total expense was under $15,000.I did this because the gas pusher is so great and the ride is a dream.I have had 7 coaches and this will be my last. Go Winnebago Go. By the way I am not a Mr. Fixit. All my work was done by a top notch RV remodeler in San Diego.See RoTi item
Re: Winnebago Via class A motorhomeStefIs it true that the Via & Reyo only have ONE door? No driver or passenger door?? Has anyone seen this in person? All I've seen are the photos & videos on Winnebago's web site. Seems to me like it would be a safety issue.Otherwise I love the configurations. Prefer maple cabinetry but that's just me. :>)See RoTi item
Re:Winnebago OutlookPat SpechtI am suspecting that we may have the battery drain problem in 2007 Outlook Winni. When it is unplugged for a day or so the engine battery gets very weak even after making sure that everything is turned off. House batteries seem to maintain the charge. We suspect a switch that is not functioning properly?See RoTi item
Re: Winnebago View Class CaussieI really cant get over this `obsession' that Americans have that a `dodge' isnt supported anymore dodge hasnt been available anywhere apart from America for the last 3 decades It's a Merc sprinter parts available worldwide (far more so than any Chrysler bits) and turbo diesels rule the roads v8 (v10's in america???- say whhhaaa) I see all the camper owners in america complaining about 8-10 mpg well you should be I get about 28 mpg in a bigger 4 tonner ( thats about 8800 pounds according to wiki) makes me wonder what I am doing right or you guys are doing really wrong... ?????See RoTi item

Re: 2010 Winnebago ERA class B motorhomeUP RetireesWe bought our ERA this summer at a substantial discount. We have driven it to California and back and love the manuverability and diesel mileage. Re: Winnebago Destination class A motorhomePia PiaquintoIt sounds like an electric golf cart. Need to gun the gas to see if it is running. In 8,000 miles we were never passed by a diesel pusher on any degree of hill.AND we tow a small Honda. The interior cabinets are well designed aesthetically and well constructed. The exterior and interior are all 1st class. We exchanged the outside mirrors for chrome and now we look like a 300K rig.Inside we upgraded the carpet and put in corian on the counters. The bathroom sink is el cheapo so we exchanged plastic for stainless. This is a dazzling unit for just over 100K.Tough competition in todays tight economy. Winnebago has a winner.See RoTi item

Re: Winnebago View Class Cchris we just bought a 2009 view 24H. After one weekend trip, we also find it much easier to drive than our last RV - a 21 ft Four winds. Re: Winnebago Via class A motorhomeRory BlenkinI really think this is nice. 15mpg sounds good to me. I'm stuck with a 7mpg gas guzzler I've been trying to sell for 2 years. When I get the money I think I'll go for this. The long slideout model is the one I would prefer but I'm not sure about the fact that the one on the inside has to climb over the one on the outside during the night. Maybe the other model is better.See RoTi item
Re: Winnebago Via class A motorhomeCurtis I've had 2 winnebagos and 1 itasca and I liked them. I was thinking of going for a class B maybe the Winnebago ERA because I was thinking class A's are too big. But this is smaller and looks really good. Going to look at it. Thanks for the review.See RoTi item
2001 Winnebago AdventurerTerryWe are newbies to the RV World and have been looking for awhile and finally found one that we both like and would love to hear pros and cons. The Winnebago Adventurer is a 2001 amd has 60,000 miles and is gas.See RoTi item

2007 Winnebago Aspect, class CM. FarriBought a new 2007, 30 ft Aspect in 2008. So far we have put approx 3,000 miles on it with no problems. The Ford V 10 has excellent power and the brakes are fantastic. We love it! My only complaint is that Ford can do a little better job with the chassis in terms of handling. Inflating the rear air bags to over 60lbs really helped. I also found out that my TV's won't work on antenna without a digital converter box. This is a problem if your TV is built in. I was afraid of messing up the wood work to pull the TV out so I went to the dealer. You will have to remove the TV. He knew what pieces of wood to remove without damaging the cabinets. We did it in 45 minutes. Other than that, a great coach.See RoTi item
Re: Winnebago ERA class B motorhomeJohnI think this has always been my perfect vehicle. I'd love to travel around the country in one of these. Either this or a Roadtreck.See RoTi item

Re: Winnebago Vectra Class ASlow ElkIf you shop around you will find that Winnebago is one of the only manufactures that put fiberglass roofs on ALL their rigs. I was told by other companies that it is too expensive to do that with their lower line of motorhomes.See RoTi item
Re: Winnebago Adventurer class A motorhomeDarthvagrantA "Hybrid" vehicle that would have to weigh in excess of 20,000#? Wow! I can see an improvement from 9 MPG tpo 9.5 MPG at an additional cost of $4500. for the "Hybrid" system. 20,000# PLUS batteries, that is. I think someone is on drugs.See RoTi item
Re: Winnebago introduce the first hybrid RVCaseyTo madbeachdogs: This is a concept RV, I don't think it's in full production and on sale yet so there isn't a price decided yet. The ordinary Adventurer starts at $127k but this is not at all the same. I'm sure details will be on Roaming Times once the production model is available.See RoTi item
Re: Winnebago introduce the first hybrid RVJason HughesWe really NEED to do things. I'm not sure this is enough but it sure is a start. Until someone figures out a real alternative to the internal combustion engine this is good. If the price of fuel rises more (and I think it will big time) this is going to look better and better. Go Winnebago.See RoTi item
Re: Winnebago introduce the first hybrid RVHomerI see no claims for this hybrid. I am sure they have tested it and pretty much know what it will do. This is an endurance trip it is on now. If you use the big diesel, and add electric motors and batteries. You have priced most people out of the market. I think it is a step in the right direction but lets find something that is really affordable. See RoTi item
Re: Winnebago introduce the first hybrid RVCliffPAFor the rest of us. I hope someone is considering a minimal, think the classic VW camper, using diesel or hybrid, so travel would be possible at low cost and low carbon footprint. $30000 and 35 mpg should be possible! It could be based on any of the diesel powered minivans or vans currently sold in Europe or other markets outside of the U.S and Canada.See RoTi item
Re: Winnebago introduce the first hybrid RVKevinThis is not on the gas chassis even though it's called an Adventurer, it's on the ecoFRED chassis. There's a link to an article about the chassis at the top of the page under the picture. It's a Freightliner chassis.See RoTi item
Re: Winnebago introduce the first hybrid RVJack PetersI am confused as to why Winnebago would chose what is normally a gas chassis to test a Hybrid Diesel configuration. I assume this is a front engine and would like to know what kind of mileage is expected from the coach. I have owned only one Winnebago, an Elanden, but I was impressed how advanced it technology was compared with others. I am now the owner of a Foretravel U270.See RoTi item
Re: Winnebago introduce the first hybrid RVBen 47I've had 2 Winnebagos and both were good. Glad to hear they were the first with the hybrid. Like to try one. It says this is just a concept vehicle so I'm thinking they're not available yet.See RoTi item
