Tire pressure monitoring system - showing RVs and the sensor system

SAFETY - David wrote to Roaming Times:

"We had a front wheel blowout on our class A.  Scariest thing that ever happened to me.  We survived but I felt we were lucky.  I think a tire pressure monitoring thing might have given me warning.  I think it's an essential system for an RV.  Safety and peace of mind should be the biggest priority for an RVer."  YOU NEED IT

ECONOMY - U.S. Department of Transportation

"Running a tire 20 percent under inflated – only 5 to 7 pounds per square inch – can increase fuel consumption by 10 percent. That can easily cost motorists two or three miles per gallon. Not only that, but the tire’s tread life is reduced by 15 percent."  YOU NEED IT

CONVENIENCE - Goodyear Tire Company

"Goodyear recommends that motorists should check tire inflation monthly or before a long trip."  A tire pressure monitoring system looks after your interests - saves time as well as money and the safety factor.  YOU NEED IT

ALL OF THE ABOVE - U.S. Department of Transportation

Approximately 7.08% of all tires are under inflated by 20 psi or more. Only 44.15% of all tires are within ±5 psi of their target pressure.  YOU NEED IT

Don't regret it - get it!   Hawkshead provides a full function system at a realistic price

JUST DO IT - RVs need this - it shouldn't even be an option

ChiswickRVs are dangerous, just like a truck. I was close to a truck when it blew. Not good, fortunely it didn't hurt my RV but it could have. But I really wouldn't like a blowout on my RV. This is obviously the way to go.
KerryA front wheel blowout is one of the worst driving experiences that you can have with an RV at 60+mph. It's often caused by or made worse by low tire pressures and we don't check them often enough. I think it should be the law to have this equipment.
Rod KI had a blowout on my toad and it I didn't know what was happening for a few seconds. It caused a lot of damage and a monitoring system could have prevented it. I'm going to buy and fit to my RV and toad as soon as I can.
RexEveryone who has had a front wheel blowout with an RV would agree that anything like this is essential.
