New
attractions
for
2008:
This
spring,
Busch
Gardens
Tampa
Bay
presents
its
newest
adventure,
Jungala,
a
four-acre
wildlife
attraction
set
in
the
heart
of
the
Congo.
As
the
most
ambitious
enhancement
to
date,
Jungala
allows
guests
to
discover
exotic
animals,
explore
a
hidden
village,
monkey-around
on
a
play
area
or
zoom
down
the
new
zip-line
experience
over
orangutans
and
Bengal
tigers.
SeaWorld
Orlando’s
Aquatica
is
making
a
splash
in
March.
This
brand
new
60-acre
water
park
submerges
guests
in
up-close
animal
experiences,
high
speed
thrills
and
sandy
beaches.
Aquatica
features
36
winding
and
twisting
water
slides,
six
relaxing
rivers
and
luxurious
lagoons
and
more
than
80,000
square-feet
of
bountiful
beach
area.
Guests
can
explore
a
new
side
of
Springfield
with
the
Simpson’s
on
Universal
Orlando’s
new
ride,
opening
in
spring,
which
rockets
guests
through
an
unimaginably
hysterical
adventure.
Debuting
this
summer
at
Disney’s
Hollywood
Studios
is
Toy
Story
Mania!,
an
interactive
competitive
ride
where
riders
twist
and
turn
through
a
video
game
while
racking
up
points
alongside
Buzz
and
Woody.
When
you
wish
upon
a
star
in
2008,
Walt
Disney
World’s
“Year
of
a
Million
Dreams”
celebration
may
grant
them.
Winners
can
fly
in
a
hot
air
balloon
above
Walt
Disney
World
Resort,
star
as
Disney’s
parade
Grand
Marshal
or
even
spend
the
night
in
Cinderella’s
castle.
Or
for
bountiful
blooms,
Epcot’s
International
Flower
&
Garden
Festival
displays
Mother
Nature
at
her
finest
starting
earlier
than
ever
this
year
on
March
19
and
running
a
record
75
days
until
June
1.
The
Seminole
Tribe
of
Florida
will
debut
their
new
Billie
Swamp
Safari,
a
new
90-minute,
in-depth
eco-tour
of
the
Florida
Everglades.
Beginning
April
1,
visitors
will
encounter
Florida
wildlife
like
crocodiles,
alligators,
hogs
and
birds
on
this
private
eco-tour.
The
only
thing
separating
you
from
the
wilderness
is
the
exclusive
swamp
buggy.
From
Feb.
22
–
24
dodge
arrows
while
watching
a
reenactment
of
the
Second
Seminole
War.
Warriors
will
dress
in
authentic
attire
and
display
real
battle
techniques
to
honor
the
unconquered
Seminole
Tribe.
The
Big
Cypress
Market
Place,
an
87,000
square-foot
market
in
Naples,
houses
the
wares
of
150
merchants
from
clothing
and
sunglasses
to
food
and
electronics.
This
one-stop-shop
for
everything
on
your
souvenir
list,
scheduled
to
open
in
March,
also
has
eight
restaurants
to
help
keep
your
shopping
strength
up.
Visitors
to
south
Florida
can
show
their
true
colors
with
the
beautiful
butterflies
of
the
Naples
Botanical
Garden.
The
Wings
of
Brazil
exhibit
in
the
Butterfly
House,
running
from
Jan.19
–
May
11,
houses
some
of
nature’s
most
stunning
insects
from
around
the
world.
Tampa’s
Lowry
Park
Zoo
is
growing
again!
In
celebration
of
the
zoo’s
20th
anniversary
in
2008,
the
zoo
is
pleased
to
announce
the
addition
of
a
white
“albino”
alligator
exhibit
and
water
flume
ride.
Coming
this
spring,
guests
can
enhance
their
outdoor
adventure
by
hopping
on
“Gator
Falls,”
a
water
flume
ride
over
a
section
of
the
Native
Florida
Wildlife
Center.
Ride
a
log
down
the
“river”
and
explore
Florida’s
native
wildlife
by
water,
floating
through
some
of
the
most
enchanted
parts
of
old
Florida
including
a
rare
albino
alligator
exhibit.
Watch
out
for
falling
waters
as
the
ride
plunges
almost
30
feet
at
the
splash
down.
