Rockwood says "the Mini Lite is a totally vacuum laminated aluminum framed cage construction with wood inserts around perimeter for maximum screw strength; floors, walls and roof."

It comes in 3 lengths - 16'7", 17'5" and 21'1" - with 4 floorplans.

The floorplan for the very small travel trailer - just 16'7" long - (model 1408) is shown below"

The 17'5" model floorplan (model 1608) is shown next.  The extra bunks are nice feature.
(These floorplans - to maximize the space and make them as easy as possible to look at - are not shown to the same scale of course ..)

Mike C :   This is a really great step up from a pop up and gives all the features of a large trailer without the weight.

MIKE RI :   THE MINI LITE IS A WELL CONSTRUCTED TRAILER FOR THOSE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING SMALL BUT WITH FEATURES OF A LARGE UNIT

pdq :   Always nervous buying something new! Just bought the Rockwood mini lite 1809. Our first trailer was a tent trailer (Jayco 806), which had very good ratings. Had only minor issues and overall was an excellent trailer. Hope the 1809 is as good!

Brian :   What kind of vehicle do you pull your trailer with? Have you ever pulled it over any high mountain passes? Have you ever had it in cold temperatures below freezing? I hear that the holding tanks are heated. I am assuming that all the lines and tanks are enclosed.

Greg H :   We have a 2007 Forest River Rockwood Lite. This is our first RV and we've been very happy with it. The bunk beds work fine and it's perfect for a family of 4. No real problems and it tows well. We've had a few minor issues dealt with by the dealer and they are not easy to deal with but Forest River are very helpful when you talk to them. I would certainly buy Forest River again but I would choose a different dealer.
