Baldy :   We just purchased a 2008 Elite (new) for $10,500. Towing it with a 6cly. Acura MDX. Travelled almost 3000mi. all over Utah. We LOVED it. Great design. Comfortable with all the amenities. Yes, it is a little jumpy with a cross wind or rough road. And I did add a sway bar. I think with a little tinkering, we can settle it down. But it will be worth it. Looking forward to many more pleasant trips.

Randman :   I liked the design concept of this little trailer except for the color combinations....then I discovered that it was made in China. NOPE...I'll buy AMERICAN on this one. I will not buy another product from China when we have exceptional trailer manufacturers located in the US and our people need the jobs !!

Camper Dave :   Got our 2008 for $9500. Pretty decent since I think they are like $16K new without options.

Kris :   Hello Mar, I pulled with my Toyota truck, it is very smooth, felt like nothing. My experience is, loading the stuffs especially the heavy things on the front center of the trailer, not to leave them by the door or the rear of the trailer or one side of the trailer. Pay attention on the weight balance. I remember one time I took the helicopter to tour the Grand Canyon. Different to take the regular air plane, we need to report our weight in order for them to arrange the seats. Proper loading and balance the weight is important for operating ANY moving objects.

IBuyAmerican :   We had a look at one today and the quality is the one thing in question. Pretty looks don't cut it. Saw the made it China sticker and now we are looking for Proudly made in USA (support the home team jobs please) can anyone suggest what we should look for that a car can tow.

Looking :   Camper Dave, how much did you give for your 2008 I camp elite if you don't mind me asking. They have one in town for $9,999. Since it is a 2008, thought I might be able to get a better deal. Thanks

Mar :   I debated long and hard between the Tada and the Icamp. I choice the Icamp for all the wrong reasons. 1. I thought it was a a great idea to have a sink in the toliet area. Not necessary. 2. I thought being so small it would be a breeze to tow. This was a huge misconception on my part. This little camper rocks back and forth with enough force that I feel as if it will over turn my Jeep Cherokee along with the camper taking a spill. It was also sold to me without a sway bar and that was absolutely suicidal. I regret my decision not to pick the better thought out TaDa Product.

steve gunn :   I'am 6'2" and would go stir crazy in a 6'3" by 5'11" van, I could not stand up and would have to lie down diagonally. Needs to be a few inches higher

KK :   I havent purchased one yet, but I really like it, I would used it for a mobile coffee business would this be safe enough to do so? contact me ksjavacoffee@yahoo.com or 303-942-7442 chat soon This is "K"

Camper Dave :   We bought a used 2008 and love it. Got a great price on it and it has all the options. Yeah it is not an airstream but I think it blows away the other small campers. Most of the others have that country kitchen interior that screams cheap! This thing makes you feel like you are in a space pod or a submarine. cool looks, solid build. I love it!

RYAN :   I spoke to an iCamp dealer and he mentioned that they had some issues with the exterior colored edging cracking in the extreme cold weather. My wife loves the icamp look but I am leary of the white interior. I tried your google link and was able to order an rpod 171 loaded for $11950 and that included the awning. I just have to drive over to hamilton oh to pick it up in 3 weeks, but for the deal i got it will save me 2g's

Brian Combs :   Compare to the r-pod and you will see that the iCamp, while nice, is over priced. I was able to get the r-pod 171 floorplan for $3200 less than what I was quoted for the iCamp. Forest River makes the rpod and the quality and US based manufacturer backing is another plus that made up my mind. Compare the interior - Google 'r-pod 171' and check out the interior photos at the vuvox web site. Much nicer than the iCamp.

my2cents :   Buy American. Your fellow American's need you right now.

Scott :   I loved it until the side split in two on our last trip to the coast. I couldn't beleve it! The window was loose and the fiberglass wall was cracked from the door up to the roof. The RV dealer repaired it but now I am leary of it's quality.

Eric :   Something like this should be at least 50% of what they are asking and 2400 lbs is not light, Why does it need a sink in the tiny bathroom there is one right next to it outside the door, its just one more thing to winterize or break. I bet you couldn't go to Camping World and get a new widget. VERY HARBOR FREIGHT, it should be priced accordingly!

L. R. Fort :   I have seen the iCamp trailers and think they are great. I just wish they were a little taller and could sleep at leat 3 people. I would buy one in a minute. I have gone back several times to just look and I have to drive over 50 miles to the dealer--My head hits the top of the shower--and there are three of us that want to use the trailer for our birdwatching trips. The yellow interior is so cheerful but certainly not tacky bright. A quick wipe down on the interior and it is all cleaned. I think that women will love this trailer if they want to travel together.

openroad :   So what does the country have to do with making great trailers? The best craftsmanship goes with out saying China really has something here with these iCamps. With the economy the way it is there is a new buyer even renter coming out of the woodworks a gas conscience RVer. Even more so with the cost of everything going up people are investing in trailer's to have road trips instead of flying. The iCamp can be pulled by the average 6cyl. vehicle actually I pull mine with a minivan and still get 18 miles to the gallon almost like pulling nothing at all. Take it from me I have one. Here 3 reasons to buy besides being the best trailer ever built even over airstreams in my opinion. 1.DURABILITY-Centech the founder of the manufacturer United Recreational Vehicles is new to America not the RV & small trailer business. They are the leading special vehicle manufacturer in Asia. 2.QUALITY-most the parts are American made, Centech buys the parts assembles the iCamp and then ships them back.( Thetford, Atwood, Duo-therm and Demetic for example) Along with Gel-Coated High Gloss Fiberglass Exterior Skin providing a long lasting body with a clean, smooth look to the unit. 3. CONVIENENCE-iPOD connections, DVD/Entertainment Package, 19" Samsung Flat Screen(yeah baby) Full bathroom with separate water tanks. The curtain actually covers the toilet paper, sink and cabinets from the shower. I honestly think if you have a chance and are in the market for that type of trailer compare it to any of it's competitors and you'll see. Then we can start an iCamp Club lol.

DIxon :   These are nice looking little trailers, but there are a couple of things working against them. First, low interior height (I am 6'2"), second shipping costs. There is a lot of noise here about China made products, but fact is they are getting better every year. I have no doubt that this unit is as well made as most trailers built here in the US. I remember when Japanese products were junk. Not anymore. Sometimes it takes some really good imports to get the US companies attention for them to start building better products. It certainly was that way for cars.

CountryBoy :   I have never thought of china products being worth the material they are made with. Just think years ago about a china made watch for a couple of bucks and it looked like a fifty dollar watch. They offered all things at a drastict discount because their workers work for almost free but their products have never been up to code, so why isn't this trailer priced like all other things from china, at half or less then the base cost. My last two trailer both were in floods but lived through it with almost no damage, could this one make it through it or would the Four layer laminated floor become so swelled up that it becomes junk? Kris you slam the so called Patriot, for just giving a simple opinion when you give your own two cents even more than they did, and I am way closer to his opinion then yours. Sure this trailer is funtionable, cute and possibly practicle but it can in no way compares to an air stream. If the price was low enough for the value of this product I would likely still buy one, and keep it out of flood planes and keep the painted items from going into my mouth. I take very good care of things and want a trailer to last as long as possible. That is just my opinion and feel free to leave yours.

Kris :   As consumers, buy something worth your hard earned money. Use your own judgment. Products do speak themselves. Don't let some so call "Patriot¡± to tell you what to buy, what not to buy. Cars Trucks and RVs made in U.S. contain more than 70% of the parts from China or overseas. Let manufacturers to worry about their sales, their quality and their market. Exercise your rights before the US$ hit to the bottom, then at that time you probably can¡¯t afford some good things overseas.

Patriot :   How happy has anyone ever been buying any china product. The only thing you can be sure of is that it will break really quick, and will regret ever buying it and fight to try and get your money back. I remember when wal-mart used to say made in USA, but then started screwing us and every other retailer in America when all of a sudden without warning everything was made in china that they carry so they could under sell and put their competition out of business. All little trailers are over priced but I think you should buy American or better yet build it yourself for a small percentage of the cost. Just because it is cute and pricey, doesn't mean it will last half as long as an air stream. So make sure your buying what you really want keeping in mind our own U.S. economy.

Jay P :   I own one; I tow it with a Jeep Liberty. I thought I wanted a T@b until I saw the iCamp; much better built. T@bs are flimsey. Look at one at that has been on the showroom floor for a season - windows scratched, screens broken out of their tracks, flimsey catch for lowering the table broken, wall covering peeling. The iCamp is heavy because it is solid - molded plywood cabinets. Worried about the appliances? They are standard American brands: Thetford, Atwood, Duo-Therm, Dometic. The bathroom was the selling point for my wife; it is better than even the upscale T@b Daddy. Oh yes, the toilet paper stays dry because 1) the container has a plastic cover, and 2) the shower curtain isolates the paper, sink, and cabinets from the shower. The iCamp is not a copy of the T@b; it is an updating of the Popular Science Widget (Winter Midget) design. I could say more but bottom line is: I like it.

tumbleweed :   Smokey, Quality controls on the Casita and the Oliver are outstanding. Both are molded fiberglass. All of the fiberglass trailers I have seen (over 16 rallies) have been VERY well built, some as old as 1968s'! Your 'stickies, standard RV construction, don't seem to have the longevity. This and the T@B seem to be a hybrid of the two using FRP ahhered to a frame

John :   If you want quality, lite weight, virtually leak free, awesome resale and longevity try a fiberglass trailer.

Smokey :   Probably not, The rv shown is way overpriced. It's caused by high shiping costs, and an extra level of profit takers, Import taxs. Trailers like that should stay in China. What we need is to have the Chinese workers come over here and show our workers how to assemble a quality RV. My last two 5th wheels, both built by Thor were assembly line disasters. I have gone back to a used class A, and will not purchase new again until they clean up the assembly line problems. It's not the workers fault, it the preasure to produce that causes the poor quaulity. That little unit that you are displaying could be produced and sold in this country for 1/2 the price. So the best Fred Thompson can do right now is import a few quaulity Managers from China and put one in each of his assembly plants..

BDK :   Good heavens, A 15' trailer weighing 2400 lbs empty and it's called light weight.

Robert J. Suppa :   T@b is a tear drop shape and iCamp is a torpedo shape to put a bathroom and shower the T@b did not have room for. People surveyed said we would buy the T@b if was bigger and had a bathroom.

vizwhiz :   I agree with Pam completely. It looks like the t@b and I would definitely call it a "stolen" concept...even the color scheme came straight from t@b, not even original enough to change the colors... We're buying a t@b, and now I think we'll do so just as a protest! (not really, the t@b is cuter than this thing by far) - On a practical note, this trailer weighs 400# more than the t@b, over 2300# unloaded...better double-check the towing capacity of your car...12 gals of fresh water weighs another 100 pounds. Oh, and another comment...the fact that the Chinese would gear up to build a copy of the t@b is a testimony to what must be hot sales for the t@b...

Pam :   Oh, and I am not a conspiracy theorist, well, maybe I am. But I feel the Chinese have an agenda. Not only ruining our country by taking our business, but poisoning us in different ways like the lead in children's toys. So this could be full of formaldahyde or something. Cant you see their government or army leaders sitting around planning how to kill us off in all kinds of ways. Oh, and dont forget the chinese are buying our debt, which they can demand be paid up to hurt us too.

Pam :   A complete copy on the outside of a t@b. they stole the concept design. Of course the inside is more like an airstream base camp.

rolling poots :   How do you keep the toilet paper dry while showering?

Francie Shaw :   I agree its overpriced but I think its really cute. It looks like the T@B and its about the same price. I'd like to see one and compare it.

eagle11 :   I think it is way overpriced for what it offers.

Sologgup :   Realize that anything the Chinese build is on an ALL NEW assembly line and as their cars are...most modern facilities in the world. I think too often we think of all items made in China as being "hand done". That is not the case for the vehicle industry and others requiring precision. So it will come to pass I am sure. I will still be driving my BORN FREE which is very close to perfect!
