Pia Piaquinto :   It sounds like an electric golf cart. Need to gun the gas to see if it is running. In 8,000 miles we were never passed by a diesel pusher on any degree of hill.AND we tow a small Honda. The interior cabinets are well designed aesthetically and well constructed. The exterior and interior are all 1st class. We exchanged the outside mirrors for chrome and now we look like a 300K rig.Inside we upgraded the carpet and put in corian on the counters. The bathroom sink is el cheapo so we exchanged plastic for stainless. This is a dazzling unit for just over 100K.Tough competition in todays tight economy. Winnebago has a winner.

NCNan :   Dealer resolved issues and we are very pleased with our Winnebago. We are taking it to the NC mtns and the heat pump will do a great job, I am sure!

Camppjpatty :   NCNan, how were your issues handled? Considering this coach as our first Class A.

Bob F :   Bought an 08 last September. Drove from North Carolina to Florida and then proceeded to California and returned home. I pulled a Chevrolet HHR and averaged around 10 mpg. This is my second motor home and my first Diesel pusher. We have has some issues but Freight Liner and Winnebago have taken care of everything.

Robert :   This is my 6th RV. The UFO is fantastic and my all time favorite-gas is the way when in the rear. You cannot hear the engine. Have done alot of mountain passes towing a Honda Fit, 2,600 lbs. Do not know the car is there. I have had ZERO problems. ZERO, I am in shock. Winnebago got it right and I salute them. WOW what a ride. My mileage in the mountains towingis 7.4. The stereo system is mind blowing. The design of the interior modern and anti-old Winnebago boring.Somebody at W should get a big raise for desigining this plush fun coach.

AB :   Hi: Test drove one of these today(Itasca Destination) beautiful coach inside. Handles like a dream, can't even hear the motor. Functional coach, think I'll be buying it on Monday!

Dr. Wayne Scott :   I test drove a 39W at Pamona FMCA Rally. It was fantastic. I "yanked it" around corners and from one lane to another. It handled wonderfully. One of the best handling coaches I have ever driven. Horse power, handling, transmission, A/C, brakes and the ride were superior !!!! I was also very impressed by the quietness of the engine, basement A/C, and the generator. (Input June 2008)

NCNan :   Took our first trip with this rig and it handled flawlessly. Got between 9-10 miles per gallon pulling a golf cart on a trailer-and that was mostly interstate travel. However, we discovered at least 12 issues with the construction of the motorhome. Will be taking it back to the dealer and see how quickly these things can be resolved. The layout/floorplan worked well for us. All in all we were pleased with the unit and hope all the repairs can be made promptly so I can rate this A+!

NCNan :   We are taking delivery of our Destination today, our first Class A. We are going from a Jayco Designer 5th wheel to this coach. From the moment I walked in, I knew this had everything I needed..from the king size bed to the convection/micro oven (no more standing on my head to light a gas oven)! The interior is beautiful, very upscale, clean lines and the interior lighting creates a calming atmosphere. Will keep updating this site to let you know gas mileage (we have the diesel pusher) and any other pros/cons.

Eugene Brumfield :   I test drove the 37g today and it's a sweet driving rig, quiet, nice floor plan, nice lighting inside, looks like a winner to me.

Jay McGeorge :   I have the 2008 37G gas pusher and pulling a 4000 lb toad I get about 6 mpg. It's been tough getting the early problems sorted but we like the RV very much. The big early problem was battery systems and flat batteries. They (and other things) were changed more than once but it didn't solve the problem. The problem turned out to be a short that was sorted by some little truck repair shop in Michigan after the Winnebago dealers had failed to diagnose the problem. Now we can really enjoy it and it's a great coach. It looks good from the outside and the layout inside is well thought out. The best RV we've had (this is our third.) We had some other problems like the furnace quit but this was sorted after three attempts.

howard :   any gas millage reports on 2008 destination?

DJones :   I saw this model at Pomona and was tempted. A beautiful coach, perhaps the one of the best Winnebago has produced. I agree it looks sleek and cool. I think the gas pusher concept is a winner for RVers like me who do very few miles each year. I wish I'd bought it, it looks like something I would enjoy for many years. Maybe next year.

ep :   Finally an RV that doesn't look like Holly Hobby from the Midwest decorated it! This RV looks great on the inside and outside. The interior does not look cheap! It looks sleek and cool! The engine in the back and the air in the floor make for a VERY quiet interior cabin. At the RV show in Pomona, CA. they had a special price of approx. $135,000.00 for a base model of the 39W. Base model is really all you need except for the Dish TV system. GREAT VALUE!!! Good Job Winnebago!

Rand :   Recently test drove a 39W with UFO chassis. Workhorse has done a nice job on ride and handling but no race horse. Coach has cheap interior for the high asking price, can buy many diesel pushers for less.

Ronnie Cotes :   I would like to see a comparison between the gas and diesel prices. I think this is a breakthrough coach, I like the idea of being able to choose diesel or gas, especially with the gas engine being in the rear. I've had 2 class A motorhomes and both were gas. Both had the big disadvantage of the noisy engine at the front with the big bulge between the front seats.
