The 40 QDH adds almost 4' to the length ($)'5".  4 slides again -  a similar arrangement but with more space in some areas - notice the bedroom.    (These floorplans - to maximize the space and make them as easy as possible to look at - are not shown to the same scale of course ..)

Readers' comments:

M Jeffries :   We are actively searching for our first motorhome and find the Phaeton to be the best value. It is very luxurious with all the features we are looking for at up to half the cost of some other brands. It drives like a dream, too.

J. Kelly :   We have a 2005 Tiffin Phaeton that we bought from Lazydays. This is our first diesel motorhome and it's been almost trouble free. Lazydays are easy to work with and I'd recommend them and the MH. Our previous MH was a Fleetwood Pace Arrow. It was OK but I much prefer the Phaeton.

Guy James :   We have the 2007 Allegro 32BA with the W20 workhorse chassis with 20700 GVWR. Very very good. I've been told Tiffin are good to deal with, but I've never really had a need to contact them. Their product is excellent. The only minor problems we had were with the shower door and a few minor electrical items taken care of by the dealer. I actually had a chance to drive both the workhorse and ford chassis versions and we chose workhorse, but the Ford seemed just as good. The only thing I would do differently now is I think I would go for the 34TGA model. The Phaeton is something else however. This is what I really would like if I had the money.

Russ :   I am a believer in Tiffin Motor Homes. I have had 2 and driven 2 others, owned by someone else, I have been to the factory for minor repairs. My first was an Allegro boought new in 1 2005 at Lazy days in FL. Took it to Red Bay, Al to have some things added. I did not have one complaint on this coach. I traded it on an Allegro Bay (Fred) because it had 4 slides and was a diesel. Bob Tiffin is one of the nicest man you will ever meet. His door is always open. This is gospel

Tony Estrin :   We have a 2006 Tiffin Allegro 35TSA with the Chevy Vortec V8. Very few problems. Good dealer, good trade and where we've had dealings with Tiffin we've been very satisfied. We had a 1998 Allegro 31M before this so we've had many exchanges with Tiffin and know they stand behind their motorhomes. We like the quality of the Tiffin product. The new Phaeton looks real good, the 4 slides and the 42QRH floorplan we like. Tempting to trade up, would be good to go to Diesel with the extra length and space. This would be the coach for us, we'd go for Tiffin again for sure.
