2008 ROADTREK RS-ADVENTUROUS
Class B motorhome on a Sprinter van

Roadtrek Motorhomes  has improved and adapted its very successful RS-Adventurous class B motorhome to the completely redesigned Mercedes-built Sprinter van.

2008 Roadtrek RS-Adventurous exterior

The Sprinter, a relative new comer to North America, has proved very popular among RVers. It has captured more than half of the class B motorhome market and a growing share of class C’s. The new 170” wheelbase Sprinter 2500 van used for the RS-Adventurous has many improvements and changes including:

  • All new exterior and interior styling.
  • New 3.0L V6 CRD diesel engine (154 HP, 280 lb.-ft. [+37]).
  • Adaptive Electronic Stability Program (ESP) takes into account the vehicle's load.
  • OEM aluminum wheels.
  • Tilt steering.
  • 22' 9" long (+13”), 6' 8" wide (+4"), 75” standing height (+2”).
  • Wider taller side sliding entry door.
Inside you’ll find a fully-equipped class B that sleeps four and seats up to seven with these improvements:
  • Power step at the side entry that opens/closes with the sliding door (with override).
  • Spare tire on the vehicle underside between the axles. No need for a Continental spare tire carrier which increases the overall length and blocks access to a rear door.
  • Storage trunk below the floor and behind the rear axle (accessible through the rear doors).
  • More interior storage cabinets.
  • 11,000 BTU roof mounted air conditioner (with heat strip) is now standard.
  • Longer ‘Fiamma’ box awning is now standard.
  • Dual 6V auxiliary batteries are now standard.
  • Larger more comfortable second row captain seats (optional).

Great fuel economy (up to 22 MPG!)… the width of a van … comfortable seating for seven... interior openness and livability… and all the features of a typical motorhome. Add the proven engineering and quality of the Mercedes built Sprinter and Roadtrek’s RS-Adventurous is sure to become even more popular!

A prototype of the RS-Adventurous on the new Sprinter van was officially introduced at FMCA Convention, August 13-16 in Redmond, Oregon. Roadtrek is the first company to introduce a class B motorhome on the new Sprinter van. (The new Sprinter van cab and chassis came out earlier than the vans and have already appeared as class C’s.) Roadtrek advised RoTi on 10/26/2007 that the MSRP base price is  $94,510.  See  floor plans below.

roadwarrior :   I drove my Roadtrek sprinter with my son from Baltimore to Alaska and back. We took a side trip and drove north of the Arctic Circle - over 1,000 miles of dirt road, NO PROBLEMS. The vehicle did Great, no mechanical problems (except the microwave handle) - never averaged less then 22 mpg. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone

D.C. resident :   I am so taken by this model! I wish I knew a place near my home where I could see and test drive it.

gdawg :   I've been trying to find more detailed info on the new 2008 Roadtrek, so this info is very helpful. I'm a little concerned that the first time you go into a tilted driveway, or on a dirt road or cross a speed bump, you'll blow out those beautiful body panels. does any dealer out there have any detailed brochures or other info, the manufacturers website certainly doesn't. I think they're trying to outdo Steve Jobs on "tension marketing"

John V. :   I am waiting on word from the dealer to order the Roadtrek Adventurous! I have looked at lots of RV's, and this one will be perfect for what my wife and I want it for, a.k.a., weekend trips, long trips, taking the grandkids camping, 7 seatbelt positions, reliability, and fuel economy. To answer John's concerns about pricing, with the long term financing, tax break as a second home, and the high resale value of this Roadtrek, it can be affordable to those of us 'non-elites', of which I am one (I'm a retired teacher, my wife is a nurse). Life is too short to not enjoy, and this Roadtrek offers a way to enjoy it even more. Happy Trails!

Norman Crawford :   I really like the sleak look of the Adventurous. I've been looking at Class B's for a long time but would like to see the Adventurous before we make our final decision. I think Class B's are the best RV choice for just 2 people without kids and who use it mainly just at weekends and odd extended periods.
