40R Owner
:
I have a 2008 40R with a full-wall slide that we bought in Feb 08. Have not had any major problems with the coach, but have found that Fleetwood can be very chinzy as far as fixing minor stuff. For example, there was some missing screws - Fleetwood said that they are not covered by warranty. That's Chinzy!

Comments about the poor quality of any manufacturer could be echoed for the entire RV industry. Where is Japan when we need her (or him)??
David
:
I think the diesel Fleewoods are getting better and better. I like everything about this coach from the 400 Hp engine to the one-piece windshield. The full wall slide coaches are particularly amazing and I like the idea that on the 42K they've moved the fridge unit forward and away from the kitchen and bathroom congested areas. The one and a half bathroom idea seems to becoming more popular (I'm seeing more RoTi reviews with this) and there are more areas of tiling. The 42K seems to have a lot of bedroom wasted area, maybe they could have built a walk-in closet arrangement. Very beautiful coaches nevertheless; Fleetwoods are definitely getting better and moving upmarket.

:
The 42K is beautiful and has well thought-out spacing and amenities. I am going to look for it at the next RV show I go to.
