Looks cool, but 24 large would buy a lot of gas. I could get a pretty nice used "living room" on wheels for that price too. Don't they know that ski/paddling/freeride bums are broke and spend all their money on their gear?

Love the idea but that price is insane!

Wolfgang,
I am going to do just what you did starting with a 12 foot enclosed trailer, so I can put my motorcycle in and roll it out and then lower bunks attached to the sidewalls. Any info you could provide would be very much appreciated, Wally email zinck@bellsouth.net

The Airstream Basecamp is a glorified cargo trailer with stuff bolted inside. I purchased a 2004 stainless steel Wells Cargo trailer, put in a toilet, kitchen, windows and stainless skin for 9,500. and the thing is professional grade.... people ask me all the time to make them one. Shame on you Airstream for bilking people....862. bucks for a refer/freezer at 1.1 cub. ft. ?? Huh? Mine is a 5.5 cub. ft seperate freezer/refer., cost me 210 smackers and 35 bucks to install. If anyone wants pics you'll be amazed at the standards this trailer possesses. wolfgangbloom@mac.com ... 24K as a base cost!!? Huh? My parents first house cost them 18.5 in '65... Things are a'changin'...

Absolutely love it in theory and in looks. However, not crazy about the kitchen being farthest from the door at the dead end. Any of these designers have kids that love to run back and forth to the kitchen? I'd love to see a teardrop/outside type of kitchen. And an outside shower while they're at it. Hosing off sand and dirt is best done outside...
As long as I'm dreaming, I might as well be picky.
