RED BAY, AL --- In vehicle reliability/quality. competitive price/value, vehicle design and the five other criteria of dealer satisfaction, Tiffin Motorhomes led all motorhome brands in the Recreational Vehicle Dealers Association's 2007 industry-wide survey.
Tiffin was one of only five motorhome manufacturers to receive the RVDA's coveted Quality Circle Award for 2007. Tiffin has been honored with the Quality Circle nine of the 12 years it has been presented by the
RVDA.
A total of 527 RV dealers submitted 3,020 ratings in the 2007 satisfaction survey. In addition to the quality, reliability, price and design categories, Tiffin exceeded the ratings of all manufacturers in parts support, dealership warranty support, overall dealership communications, sales support and sales territory.
For the first time in the 14-year history of the dealer satisfaction survey, the RVDA asked dealers the "Ultimate Question:" How likely would you be to recommend this brand to a friend (in a different market) to handle at his/her dealership?" A total of 84.4% of dealers responded positively on Tiffin, while only 42.4% of dealers responded positively for all motorhome manufacturers. When negative responses to the question were deleted to calculate "Net Promoter Scores," Tiffin's 81.3% mark was even more dramatic compared with the 12.2% for all motorhome manufacturers.
The "Ultimate Question" and the "Net Promoter Score" were developed by Fred Reichheld, recognized by Consulting Magazine as one of the world's top 25 consultants. Reichheld helps clients achieve superior results through improvements in customer, employee, partner, and investor loyalty. He is considered a pioneer in quantification of links among loyalty, profits and growth.
For Bob Tiffin, founder and president of Tiffin Motorhomes, the Quality Circle Award and the overwhelming dominance in the dealer satisfaction survey are gratifying but not surprising.
"Since we began building motorhomes 36 years ago, we have built our reputation on quality, customer service and innovation," Tiffin said. "We have about 1,100 employees dedicated to our philosophy. Every time a customer, a dealer or a supplier recognizes our effort, we are humbled and thankful. Then we go back to serving up the motorhomes our customers have come to expect from us."
Tiffin produces gas- and diesel-powered Allegro Class A motorhomes in five model lines: Allegro, Allegro Bay, Phaeton, Allegro Bus and Zephyr.

Over the past 4 months I have had the opportunity to test drive 3 Allegro Bay FRED's. All were the 36 or 37 foot version. Noise was very low and 100 times more quiet than my Ford F53 with a V-10. Stability in my opinion is better than any Diesel Pusher that I test drove, and I have driven over 20 different Diesel Pushers from Country Coach, Monaco, Gulfstream, Dutch Star, Newmar, Holiday Rambler, Beaver, and Winnebego. The FRED with all that weight right over the front wheels is as "steady as a rock" in the wind and around 18 wheelers. I found power, speed and torque to be very adequate. Also because of a bad salesman, at a dealership....Mr. Bob Tiffin even had one deivered to my house, for me to test drive. YOU CAN BELIEVE ALL OF THE GOOD THINGS THAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE AT TIFFIN !!!!!! THEY ARE TRUE !!!! And I believe that the Tiffin FRED's are a great product. If it hadn't been for a divorce and my ex-wife stealing $80,000 Dollars out of the bank accounts I would have had a Tiffin by now.

We bought a phaeton in Jan 08. We set out traveling, and it has been a dream come true. We stopped by Red Bay to get a windshield replced. A rock had damaged it. Every one asked did you meet Bob Tiffn. I answer yes. I met his caring professionls. His enormous facilities, toured his plant, and even powered my motor home with his electricity. Yes I met him, without borthering him. HATS OFF to you BOB you designed a good product, sell it at a resonable price. And by way of our visit I found you back it up with goodwill toward your customers.

I don't dispute that Tiffin might/might not be a a good motorhome. But I question the validity of the report because it is not done by an independant group, it is done by the Dealers who sell the units (a very one-sided opinion). I don't believe that any of them would say anything negative about a product they sell. It's like cops investigating cops, lawyers checking up on other lawyers, doctor verifying other doctors - there is no way you will get an honest answer. This is an unregulated industry and the general public is not aware of how much crap is being manufactured by this industry unless they practice some due diligence and do a lot of research and join consumer groups.

We have a 2007 40 ft Phaeton. We absolutely love it. Tiffin products are QUALITY. It is true they offer the best customer service we have ever seen. We have had a few items that needed to be to be fixed -- they were done without hesitation and done totally professional.

We have the 2007 Allegro 32BA with the W20 workhorse chassis with 20700 GVWR. Very very good. I've been told Tiffin are good to deal with, but I've never really had a need to contact them. Their product is excellent. The only minor problems we had were with the shower door and a few minor electrical items taken care of by the dealer. I actually had a chance to drive both the workhorse and ford chassis versions and we chose workhorse, but the Ford seemed just as good. The only thing I would do differently now is I think I would go for the 34TGA model. The Phaeton is something else however. This is what I really would like if I had the money.

I am a believer in Tiffin Motor Homes. I have had 2 and driven 2 others, owned by someone else, I have been to the factory for minor repairs. My first was an Allegro boought new in 1 2005 at Lazy days in FL. Took it to Red Bay, Al to have some things added. I did not have one complaint on this coach. I traded it on an Allegro Bay (Fred) because it had 4 slides and was a diesel. Bob Tiffin is one of the nicest man you will ever meet. His door is always open. This is gospel
