About the camp and the water fun
available:
The park is located 3/4 mile from the Fortymile Wild and Scenic River. We offer kayak rentals and pickup. There is seasonally good fishing within walking distance from the park.
The Chicken Gold Camp & Outpost offers a relaxing retreat in the historic mining community of Chicken. Located away from the highway but within walking distance of the area’s attractions (active goldmine, gold dredge, ghost town, saloon, hiking, river recreation, etc).
The park amenities include tables and fire rings, water, dumpstation, exceptionally clean restrooms, showers and WiFi internet, as well as a café serving homemade entries, an espresso/smoothie bar and gift shop with local crafts.
From their adjoining gold mine, the hosts provide paydirt for gold panning and create unique Alaskan gold nugget jewelry and gifts.
The park has a separate group area for caravans and provides RV parking while touring the area.

How to get there - information provided
by the camp:
From the Alaska Hwy at Tetlin Junction (12 miles east of Tok), 66 miles north on the Taylor Hwy or from Dawson City, Y.T., 108 miles West on the Top of the World Hwy to Chicken, then south on Airport Rd, entrance on left (Chicken Loop Rd).
