Summary:
People generally, feel very safe and comfortable about
owning an RV. They feel - a little bit - less
comfortable driving it.
They feel comfortable with modern technology - they welcome
new developments - for example electronic tire monitoring and
global position satellite (GPS) systems etc. They feel -
a little bit - less safe about their tires - and somewhat less
comfortable about their RV insurance coverage, eg what they're
covered for and what is excluded.
People feel very safe overnighting in an RV park and much
less safe overnighting in a truckstop or a Wal-Mart parking
lot. About 19% of those polled said they had never
overnighted in a truckstop and about 23% said they'd never overnighted
in a Wal-Mart.
Most people (57%) said they checked their tire pressures
before a trip. 4% only check their tires when their RV
is serviced and 2% said "rarely or never".
(10% said they checked every day, 17% every week and 10% every
month.)

57.8% of the people polled owned a motorhome,
24.3% owned a
5th wheel and 13.8% owned a trailer. Around 4% owned
"other" - a bus conversion or
pop-up
