- DOES AN RV FEEL
LIKE A HOME

We've bought a new
RV and started as
fulltimers. We got
rid of most things
but we're still
carrying too much
with us. It's
difficult but we'll
dispose of the
extra, but it really
doesn't feel like
home. Any fulltimer
with ideas? How did
you feel and does it
seem like home?

We've been
fulltiming for 6
years, I'm 72 and my
husband 74 and we're
still enjoying it,
this is the best
life.
We
sold our house that
we'd lived in for 27
years and like you
we had too many
things that we
brought into the
coach even after we
gave our daughter
most of it, I think
we've still got too
much.
I
know how you feel it
didn't feel like
home for a long
time. It should have
been better for us
because we'd RVed
for nearly six
months of the
previous year and we
should have been
used to it but it
felt strange when we
finally took off
after selling our
home.
It
does get better
though; I don't
think about our
house much now and I
do think of our
coach as home. We're
thinking of trading
for a new rig though
so I don't know if
that will feel
strange, but I think
it will be better
because we'll have
slides and more
space. I hope you'll
be as happy as we
are we love
fulltiming.
What
do you think?
