Has anyone else had
this issue? The
Camper came from CT.
Have there been any
major floods there
in the last
year?
Many
thanks.......we are
heart broken over
this. Wondering how
this happens and how
terrible is this to
get fixed?

This is not unusual.
I repair RVs and
find this problem
often. It depends
upon how bad it is
of course and how
far it has spread,
but basically you
need to tear out all
the affected
material and
replace. This means
frames, insulation
and plywood.
You
can only really tell
the extent of the
problem once you
start stripping it
out. Has it got into
the side panels?
Water
is what damages RVs
of course and every
seam or every hole
cut into the RV by
the manufacturer can
allow water in.
Repair can be costly
of course or if you
do it yourself it
can be very time
consuming. For
everyone else, my
advice after seeing
many of these is to
stop the leaks
before they start by
thoroughly
inspecting all the
roof and body seams
and looking
carefully throughout
the RV for
indications of water
damage.
Have
you experience of RV
water leaks or
repairs to
rotting areas?
